So, courtesy of my parents DVR, I've been introduced to Royal Pains, White Collar, and Covert Affairs. Covert Affairs is pretty interesting, White Collar Moderately so. Royal Pains seemed rather slow and broadly written. Also watched some of the most recent episodes of Burn Notice; hard to believe that that's been on 5 years already. I like how they moved things forward and where the show is going; though obviously I'm a little lost since I haven't watched any of the last 2 seasons. Agree with you re Royal Pains. We watch mostly for the scenery although it is improving a bit. Found the writing average and the acting even less. But I enjoy White Collar more than Covert Affairs.

Hey. Happy Fourth, everyone!!! Had Zak in ER on Saturday and I've spent the weekend watching him closely and taking care of him. Either he ate some rat poison (suspicion is bleeding into the abdomen) or he's got something else. He resumed eating on Saturday after the ER stint but seems to have forgotten how to drink. So, I give him water using a syringe into his mouth. *sigh* Ultrasound tomorrow after court. Sorry to have been gone on this most auspicious of holiday weekends. Hope everyone had a good time. *hugs* Oh! Poor li'l guy! Let us know how he does.

Who knows Milwaukee? If we spend 1.5-2 days there total what should we visit? I'm fighting the urge to quote from Wayne's World. Other than that, I got nothin'. I had no idea to what you referred, so I looked it up, and won't fight the urge:WAYNE: So, do you come to Milwaukee often?
ALICE COOPER: Well, I'm a regular visitor here, but Milwaukee has certainly had its share of visitors. The French missionaries and explorers were coming here as early as the late 1600's to trade with the Native Americans.
PETE: In fact, isn't "Milwaukee" an Indian name?
ALICE COOPER: Yes, Pete, it is. Actually , it's pronounced "mill-e-wah-que" which is Algonquin for "the good land."
WAYNE: I was not aware of that. It doesn't help Sue that much in figuring out what to do in Milwaukee, but she sure can sound awful smart.

Happy 4th of July!
I am typing this on my iTouch. What a pain! Got to find some time to reformat my laptop.
Florida was great! Didn't see Gerrie because our flight got cancelled and left on Sunday which didn't leave a lot of time to get together. Maybe next time!
I hope everyone had a great holiday.
I did get a chance to see my birthday gifts. Thank you all so much!

Happy Independence Day, all! Happy Fourth! As a (very warped) present for your celebratory enjoyment, I present a tiny snippet from the Wits show I attended recently. Adam Savage doing "I Will Survive", in the voice of Gollum. Enjoy! Enjoy! And have a fab evening, all!

S'cubies. Better Half, I hope Zak gets better right quick. The madness has commenced again; there are bangs and booms outside, all, of course, highly illegal in this town. Spootheads. The poor cats are sneaking around the house with their tails down, looking for safe places to hide. Sigh.

Keeping lots of for you. Thank you kindly, dear Lola! Is anybody else watching Leverage? Two episodes so far this season, each wonderful in its own way; I think this is the one bright spot in my week, and I hope it stays that way. Nate as Ellery Queen as played by TH's dad Jim Hutton. Wonderful, although I wouldn't have minded seeing him as Archie Goodwin, either. Yes, it reminded me of several "Masque" type mysteries, but it was wonderfully Leveraged as usual. I thought Nate as EQ was a teriffic touch and enjoyed Sophie's "Irene Adler" too.

Spoiler to I had to look up photos of Jim Hutton as Ellery Queen, and yup: Jim's still prettier than Tim, sorry, younguns. Julia, just came to post that. Don't agree. Think Tim's prettier than Jim by a country mile.

I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed that year of daily entries. The photos are beautiful! Maybe they'll get me out of trouble. See below: Had a wonderful weekend with the Bobman. We saw the new Transformers movie, which I can review if anyone is interested. Main thing, expect a lot of noise and it's VERY long. We didn't have plans for the 4th, but his kids called and asked us to come over for 'burgers about 5 or so. As it turned out, they wanted him to come over because their A/C went out and they hoped he could fix it. I wasn't that enthusiastic about going over there with no A/C and the temperature soaring above 100. Admittedly, I'm not too comfortable around them yet anyway. Then there was the factor that I have to get up at 5AM for work and even if we only stayed until 9, it would be in an overheated state and in no way conducive to feeling well enough to go to work the next day. It wasn't 3 yet so I wanted to lie down for a bit before we went. I woke up sometime after 4 so muddy-headed that I was barely articulate. So Bob went and I stayed home. It was just as well because it was several hours before my mind cleared enough to be sociable. Still, I feel a little badly that I didn't go. Not that I wanted to, but just to be with him. Hoping he understands. As an olive branch I emailed him the link to Sara's blog. Maybe her wonderful photos will give him a morning lift. And having given you my Tuesday morning run of Patti-itis I think I'll attend to the job I'm supposed to get paid for.

Gaaaaaah... had the insoles in my boots wear out about an hour and a half into the family reunion, argh: feet hurt!
Three nights in a row of explosions, brain not yet reformatted.
Julia, ouch, duh.
