Monnie:
I read the article, and I have some thoughts I'll put in SPN thread.

So...I just scored an improved (read: MUCH larger) lab space, to be mine in October. So very, very cool. Who says you can't work up to the last possible second? Plus, I find if you ask for things when you look like I do right now, you're much more likely to get them.

Anybody watching Warehouse 13? Captain Janeway is a Regent? She's Pete's mom? and also heeee. It is my considered opinion that there's more to Agent Jinx's firing than meets the eye. I suspect (and I could be wrong, I usually am) that he and Mrs Frederic cooked up the "firing" so he could go undercover - whatever happened took place offscreen, he doesn't want Claudia to talk about it, and the bad guys think he can be turned. Hmmm. Ooooh. I took the firing at face value, but I like your theory so much more. Mrs. Frederic has to know Sally thought she made a connection with Jinks, so it makes total sense they'd try this sort of gambit. Me gusta.

I wish I had had half your energy when I was pregnant. I wish I had half your energy now, come to think of it. Actually, S'cubies are full of awesome, all of you.

I did another library drawer, this one with the celestial giftwrap. It looks okay, but the design is really too big for the 1½"-wide strips. I'll use it someplace, but I'm going to look for something more suitable before I do the ones in my atelier. I don't have anything appropriate in my stash, oh, woe is me, I'll have to go to Art Supply Warehouse... Husband wants to go, too, so we'll probably drive down on Saturday because Sunday is Aged Mum Day. I'm also hoping to fit in a stop at the needlework store in Garden Grove for some Caron embroidery threads; they're the sort of thing I'd rather select in person instead of from an online catalog.

I'm about to post another couple photo-heavy, text poor LJ things. I hope.
I do not have anything I urgently need to do in the next hour. It's a rare occurence these days.
Julia, have to move the sheep back to hip pen at 6pm or so, but that's a while.

Hell, maybe the entire thing was staged from start to finish: Mrs. F. ratcheting up the torture, them not taking the ring off of Sally, Jinks getting more and more upset until he finally drew his gun, all of it. One big show to convince them Mrs. F. had alienated Jinks past the point of no return.

The next few days are going to be majorly hectic. The Bobman has sold his house. The closing was yesterday but out of the blue the buyers say he needs to be out of it by TOMORROW!! That means--because his new digs won't be ready until the end of October at the earliest--he's homeless. So guess where he's staying? Wow, you got it on the first try! I'm impressed. Now guess who has to get her flat ready for a roomie-guest? While jockeying two dockets this week AND preparing to fly out to Atlanta for Dragoncon? Whoja think? Awww, you peeked. New (king size!!!) bed ordered? Check. New (king size!!!) bed paid for? Check New bed delivery confirmed? Check. Sheets, blankets, pillows for (king size!!!) bed purchased? Cleaning of house and creation of storage for roomie completed? We-ell...Semi-check. Ordering of new wardrobe and bedstand completed? Not even a prayer of a check. Oh, and prep for trip? What prep? There was prep? When? And, you ask, why buy new (king size!!!) memory foam bed when I just bought a new bed scarcely two years ago? I mean, apart from the fact that I've hated my [queen] mattress since the day I bought it? Why not just buy a nice queen-size memory foam mattress and let it go at that. It's like this...I lived with Ian for 18 years. He stood 5'6" tall and never in his life weighed more than 135 pounds. A queen was plenty. The Bobman is 6'2.5" and weighs in at an easy 230. Hence, the king. Any questions? No? Would you mind answering one of mine? WHAT THE HELL HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO? ? That is all.

Well, you can always tell yourself that you have a natural endpoint built in (Oct), that is, IF you want it. Best wishes. And have fun at Dragoncon.
