For years I taught part-time at the local community (2 year) college. The average student age was 35. The 18-19 year olds stood out like a sore (annoying) thumb with a paper cut. Unripe humans are often bitter and undigestable. Julia, unripe cats are a hazard to navigation. to both Sue and Julia

to all. Girls sleeping. Whew, what a weekend. Just busy busy with the everyday. Have meeting coming up in mid-Oct with their mom and others about "long term plan." Don't know what to think about Mom's intentions, but I guess I will find out. Girls doing well, and am really pleased with reading progress on the younger one especially.

TMI AND PROFANITY ALERT: a tumblr post describing a woman's special time of the month: - Uterus: I hope you didn't like those underwear.
- Stomach: EAT ALL THE THINGS!
- Emotions: I don't care that you were crying your eyes out ten minutes ago, that was fucking funny. Now go act like you're high until I see something that pisses me the fuck off.
- Stomach: ESPECIALLY THE CHOCOLATY THINGS!
- Uterus: Also I've decided to act like something's constantly punching me. I hope you don't mind.
- Me: why
Accurate list is accurate. It's very good--but incomplete! - Uterus: I hope you didn't like those underpants.
- Stomach: EAT EVERYTHING!
- Breasts: Excuse us but we've decided to swell so that none of your bras will fit.
- Glands: Us too!
- Emotions: We don't care that you were crying your eyes out ten seconds ago, that was funny and we're going to giggle now. No, we're not going to give you time to dry your eyes. Now go act like you're high until we see something that pisses us the fuck off and we decide to let Rage take over.
- Stomach: ESPECIALLY THE CHOCOLATY THINGS!
- Uterus: Also I've decided to act like something's constantly punching me. I hope you don't mind.
- Head: Sounds like fun. Mind if I join in?
- Back: Me too.
- Feet: Hey, don't leave us out!
- Uterus: Oops. Sorry about that clot. Uh, another pair of underpants...maybe?
- Stomach: HEY, YOU JUST RAN OUT OF CHOCOLATE! I'm bored. I think I'll just bloat now.
- Emotions: Great! Hey Rage, it's your turn now!
- Uterus: Remember, next month we get to do this all over again!
- Me: Why? Why? WHY?

BTW, the H50 link I posted in Spoiled Souls last night is of general interest to the S'cubie Board as its full name.
Julia, and my, weren't we elsewhere this weekend?

Really not a fan of the whole awake thing today... Aye, matey...I be agreein' with the ye...arghgg... Is it talk like a pirate day or are you just suffering flashbacks to Michael Bolton's portrayal on the Emmys last night? [btw -- what WAS the point of that musical number?] The comedy women were a high point, that is for sure. VU is 3-0 and has gotten listed in the ESPN poll under "others getting votes." Get real people. We beat Elon, CT and Ole Miss. Next 6 games: 4 teams in the top 15 (which is why we do NOT need to add TXA&M to the SEC!] I predict an upcoming record of 3-6. Although 3 wins is 50% more than all of the last season and all of the season before so, go Coach Franklin.

From some of the lyrics, like - "It's ok when it's a threeway...with a honey in the middle there's some leeway.." - I think they were celebrating gays in entertainment.....but I didn't pay attention all that closely, except for that section of lyric that they kept repeating...lol. And aye, it be talk like a pirate day.

Really not a fan of the whole awake thing today... Me, neither- Franklin woke me up just before seven by rolling over, taking up 3/4 of the mattress, and starting to snore like a rock crusher, so actually went back to bed for a while after he took Anna to work. Feel pretty crappy anyway, the temperatures went from 90F last Sunday to a high below 60 on Saturday, and the little cold I'd been fighting last week blossomed into something truly impressive. Julia, Anna's working MTWTF now, so at least I just get one Monday a week

I walked to Rite Aid (and if Aged Mum doesn't like the sort of Vitamin E cream I got, well, too bad, she can go shopping then) and the market this morning, then I drove to TJ's and Michael's, I washed towels, I put away laundry, I did some gluing of little things, I did some sorting and putting away of things in my atelier, I tracked down and ordered various and sundry supplies for planned projects and the Husband's gift subscription to Rolling Stone, took out the trash and was attacked by a fern with thorns, and I let cats out, and in, and out, and in, and out... I'm not sure where Shadow is, I lost track, but best guess is under the potting bench in the patio. My brain hurts. My head hurts. Is it time for bed yet?
