Lots of family travel this month. Jim is in Jackson, MI (had to leave house at 4:45 am yesterday and fly thru Baltimore to Detroit. Bleck.) But yes, I am enjoying house all to myself. Carolyn flew to DC this morning to be in another wedding. #8 maybe? She has become increasingly resentful of the "wedding-industrial complex" as she sees gobs and gobs of money spent, in this case by a friend who really can't afford it. I go to Chicago next week and Allie trips home briefly the week after. It's actually going into the 20's here in the next few days, then back up to mid-60's during the days. oh and: Vanderbilt women beat arch-rival UTn women. 93 points. Fun ..... except for the part where Pat Summit -- a true giant among women in sports -- is clearly declining rapidly due to early onset Alzheimers. Her assistant did most of the coaching but if I were a 19 year old girl on the team watching my icon fade it would freak me out. Which may explain the fact that UT has fallen out of the top ten for the first time in like 3-4 DECADES. OOOH! My home town! What was he doing in the Mitten? a 2 day workshop on professionalism for Allegiance H.

Allie is working on a project interviewing a member of our church who is the grandson (not great or great great) of John Tyler, 10th president of the U.S. He has Alzheimer's and his daughter keep intervening in the interview so she's not sure how much really good footage she will get (can only arrange meets with him when she is in Nashville). But here is the "trailer" -- about 90 seconds:

I laundered my iPod. Again.
Apple replaced it. I assume it's refurb even though they keep telling me it isn't. Either way it's synching right now.
