Yep. We were considering Dollywood for spring break, but it doesn't open for another week. And I got to thinking - I've never been in Alabama, I haven't seen Monnie for over 2 yrs . . . and Huntsville sounds like a nice town, so I am taking the girls down there. I told Monnie they were young and impressionable and she was going to have to be on best behavior. I'm trying not to worry. The Space Center! Feel free to stop here for a meal or overnight.

Hey, y'all. Franklin gave me his frelling cold. I still must work outside to keep my sheep and chickens happy. Not to mention cows. I am sincerely de-energized. Without his mustache, Austin looks way too much like Bambi. Julia, my mind she is blown. Feeling any better? Bob and I decided our constant craft-making in the living room requires some furniture adjustment. The coffee table has been summarily moved to the dining room. Little tables and tray tables have been purchased. We now have interchangable surfaces for working, eating and computing. Karaoke for St Patrick's. What the Japanese invention has to do with the Irish holiday, I'm not sure--but hey, a little fun, right? It mostly didn't rain today, which helped my cold- that and getting distracted by the EIS for a rejected water storage/power generation project in the Yakima Valley and losing two hours to that instead of going outside, working too hard and getting sicker. Julia, on the whole, a good day.

Grandson wants to cosplay Toshiro Hitsugaya from the anime "Bleach" at Anime Matsuri on April 7. Ordered him a professional costume which came--only they got the measurements wrong. I sent the measurements in inches--they used centimenters! The damn thing is small enough for my great-grandbaby! Hence the sewing today. No time to buy another they take as much as six weeks to get here and the con is April 6-8. This would not be an issue if Bob and I were not going to Nightmare Fest over March 30-April 1. BWAH!

Have a great time!! I finally ordered a laptop and it is due to be delivered next Tuesday. I am so excited! If everything goes smoothly I will be able to take part in the S'cubie Project Runway design finale. Which is pretty much the whole reason I am switching from a desktop to a laptop: in order to chat with y'all whilst in front of the TV. ;D ;D ;D

Erin --- TRUTH! Way too much going on in real life: church retreat All the wedding attire purchases, returns, alterations, (not just dresses but undergarments, shoes, jewelry, make-up (some people already have a lot of this stuff but not me so much)), gifts, travel, hair, more travel. They've added in a Korean ceremony during the cocktail hour in between the first ceremony and the full dinner reception: wiki.weddingbee.com/Paebaek (pretty interesting) my BIL remains on a ventilator, with a feeding tube, they have stopped continuous dialysis once they got 50 pounds of fluids out of him. He continues to run a fever, though. Not getting worse, just not getting appreciably better, at least not quickly. kids and their jobs kids and their relationships Jim traveling and traveling and traveling (this week Reno (which is a bear to get to and from) for 2 days and then Atlanta for 2 days. He gets home late Thursday and I leave Sat for wedding shower in Chicago. And I've been spending at least an hour a day working on the yard. We have something close to an acre on a corner lot on a slope. So many small twigs came down in the hailstorm that the I can't just pick up big sticks like usual so I'm pretty much been raking the entire yard, once square yard at a time. Throwing it all on a tarp and then dragging that to be dumped into a giant pile (our tax dollars support trucks that come around once a quarter and collect yard debris. Only some areas the grass has already grown enough to make raking difficult so you just need to bend over and pick up the sticks and twigs (some are large branches but more small) But, yikes, it's like vacuuming one's house by using a dust cloth on the floor or picking up lint one piece at a time. After 2 weeks I've got about half the yard done. And there's been basketball to watch, although now the VU men are out so just the women to watch vs. Duke on Tuesday. Well, that's an update on my life.

Speaking of my honesty and such, I am blogging about my travels, here: merrymarytravels.blogspot.com/As usual, I will be 100% accurate and objective with my reporting. So far, so good - we are in Bowling Green KY tonight. SUE: I forgot all about you being in Nashville! Maybe lunch on the way back or something? I am coming through tomorrow, but planning to drive right through, then driving through on Friday . . . hmmm. IM me about Friday - what timing might work, and we'll see if we can get together.
