Going to doctor today for my recheck on the new generic Prozac, good vibes appreciated, please.
I was doing better, I still am doing better except for the extremely tired last week and the massive digestive upset over the weekend, which still lingers. I blame the weather; heat and I do not get along.
ETA: Back from doctor. BP good, pulse good, everything good. Got flu shot. Need to go back for recheck in January 2013 (because the three-months falls on Christmas Eve).

Danny Strong got his writing Emmy! Julia, so very pleased with that, and with Damian Lewis (who should have gotten one for Life). Great news.

S'cubie vibes obviously span space and time, because they worked in advance! One thing about feeling better about myself is that I actually wore my red sarouelles today, in public. With my "What Would Durga Do?" grey t-shirt, too. Younger Daughter does not think I am too old to wear red Turkish pants; she says they suit me because I am "eccentric". I like that.

Hey, eccentric is the nice way of saying "crazy as a loon", something I've always considered a compliment. Just think how boring mundanes are and you can see why. This caught my eye on eBay: Then I found the most incredible flocked wool fabric. Now the search for lining is on.

I have to say that my new cornbag is da bomb. It's doing wonders for the residual neck discomfort from my car accident.

Warehouse 13 has sure gotten disturbing this season. Not fun, either.

Feeling smitey? There's some cheap kitchen spam in the general archives, if anyone is dying for a good smite. It's a good thing I'm feeling better, because Elder Daughter is not. She's been having emotional meltdowns, she's afraid she's failing (which she is not), and we're going to see about getting her an appointment to see her doctor as soon as we can.

Thirty years married today; so very wish I felt more like celebrating, but Franklin and I are both bothered by the rhinovirii instead.

Thirty years married today; so very wish I felt more like celebrating, but Franklin and I are both bothered by the rhinovirii instead. Julia, atchoo Congratulations! Took 10 days on prednisone to knock out whatever lodged in me. And yesterday Jim came home early and went to bed. Now he is working from home. This is a once a decade (or less) event. So, whatever it is is not pleasant1 Me, I had a flu shot today, after 53 min. of aerobic exercise -- under the supervision of the Vandy rehab staff. They have this nice program called "phase III" that you can enroll in -- more supervision than just joining the gym and also more accountability. Very tiny bit more expensive and you can only come during class hours but those are both excellent trade-offs in my case.

Julia, atchoo Congratulations to you and go-away to the evil virus. We were able to get an appointment with Emily's doctor for tomorrow morning. I hope the two of them can find a solution for her woes, because she's really wiped out when she would normally be enjoying herself.

Just saying hi, as a way to procrastinate before I clean the guinea pig's cage. This weekend, we clipped his nails. It took all three of us, for our 2lb guinea pig - one to hold him up and "still," one to clip, and one to feed him carrots so he would quit squirming. The guinea pig on the youtube "how-to" video was much more cooperative - not to mention albino, so it was very easy to see where the quick was. We managed to complete the job without any bleeding. It was a different story for poor little Nanucci. We also clipped his nails (a two person job), and got a bit of the quick on one clip. He squealed and bled and got pampered until he felt better. Both animals have very dark nails, so it is hard to see where the quick is. Alright, well - the piggy awaits. Duke, the guinea pig.
