Melissa - Great looking dress and well made. Love the bronzie color and the hemline Gunnar - Lacey/ shiy short black dress. LOVE the material and shape of the dress. I want! Elena - Very nice and great for the older woman, except for maybe the cutout back. Chris - Long pink and black. hmmm..kind of boring and don't like the top at all Alicia - Love the cut with the lowered waste but it isn't very well made Sonuia - I do like the peplum and the cut and sheen. I would definitely want that. Nice bodice on Ven's dress. Dimitry - gray sheeth. Awesome. Love the seaming and cut. Was black/gray the only color they could use? Ven's roses are getting old. I loved them at first and thought he was the one to beat, but now I'm beginning to wonder if he's just a one-trick pony.

Dmitry didn't win. I'm surprised.

Runway!
Fabio - very simple, clean lines. I too like the way the top is fitting. It's a very simple-looking dress and yet it does feel like him. Don't like the back zipper. And it's too "simple" to win, I'm thinking.
Melissa - this is really rather stunningly gorgeous, I'm thinking. Yes, there are some construction flaws (but really rather tiny ones) that we see more because of the fabric. But gorgeous fit and the neckline is very awesome.
Gunnar - this is a rather cute, fun, cocktail dress. Much better than I was expecting. Too young for L&T, I'm thinking.
Elena - I actually see where she was going with the bodice, but she's right that it is way too "modern" and also? She didn't execute it very well. From some angles it looks cool/interesting and from others it's just clumsy and distracting.
Christopher - I like what he did with the fabric, but I don't like the color of the bodice - too close to her skin tone. And the skirt is elegant, but too straight-forward/boring, I'm thinking.
Alica - Hmmmm. Not a great look. The idea was troublesome to begin with, solved somewhat by the monochromatic color scheme (although it also makes it more dull-looking) and the execution is sloppy.
Sonjia - Hmmm. It actually turned out much better than I was expecting. Not really a fan of the peplum. And again, why so blah with the color?
Ven - Beautifully executed, I'll give him that. And if we hadn't seen his rose thing so many times before I'd be more impressed. I do like the more streamlined silhouette. Again, no color! Oy!
Dmitry - Very pretty, sleek and modern looking. A slight bit of color (finally!), but there's a tiny bit of a fit issue (which shocks me, Dmitry usually is perfection).
Now, pause the DVR and post before the judges speak and tell me how very very wrong I am. ;D

The judges are on the crack. They tell one designer that a design is bad because not every woman can wear it, then praise another designer because the dress is so different. Ay yi yi

Elena's is very nice, too, but her crying is getting on my last nerve.

S'cubes: Long wait without much to show for it . . . lots of trouble with photobucket, and made mistake of picking sleeves that "would not fit" and wasted loads of time . . . anyhow, here is where I am. It needs some pizazz of some kind . . .
