From Lori DelRossi Hi - there is a thesis about Spike at the address below. Quite long and somewhat scholarly. I bet the poet in Spike would enjoy being the subject of someone's dissertation. www.channelingboards.com/SpikeThesisSorry, I am no technopagan and do not know how to make a direct link. Lori _________________________________ I've read it, and it can be downloaded in PDF format (Adobe Acrobat Reader--free). It's very enjoyable and authored by the folk at the Bloody Awful Poet Society. Nan

Okay, first post and out of lurkdom just long enough to make a clarification. The Spike thesis was *not* a BAPS project. It was put together by a group of writers who frequent Spike's Salvation and its NC 17 sister list, the Bloody Awful Gutter. These are both fanfiction lists and not discussion lists (although the Gutter goes off topic *a lot* LOL!) Kimi The Bloody Awful Sandlot Fanfiction Archive www.the-sandlot.comHi, Nan.

I stand corrected. I just recognized an awful lot of names in the authorship and assumed it was BAPS. My bad. I have a welcome post to you on the Main board. Do drop in sometime and correct me some more (I can always use that!). [/color]

I just found this fan fic this morning and printed it out and read it. It's a nice story. Rated PG-13 (there's a bad word in the story according to the author).
Anyway the story is called Sweet Lethe and is written by Miss Murchison. I found it on the Chiaroscuro site.
Here's the link to her site. Just scroll down til you find this story.
This fic takes place a few months after "Chosen".

Just finished chapter 9. Must say I didn't like the line in chapter 8 about Spike and boys--just can't go there with my Spike!! But the story is great. Nan, keep it coming and quickly--who needs sleep, right?

That part in Chapter 8 didn't bother me as I've lots of fiction with Spike and Angel, Giles, and Xander. Some good, some not so good.

Her other WIP "Secret As The Grave" has me completely hooked and I'm eagerly awaiting the next update. Our Mary turned me on to this writer. I believe she recommended Sweet Lethe one or two pages back. Miss Murchison has a real gift for dialogue.

I think I"m gonna be doing some reading this weekend.
I did print off some here at work to read on the way home.
Read the 1st part of 2 last nite and have the next 2 parts here ready to read. It's quite good so far, at least Part 1 is. The pairing is S/X and it is NC-17, but it's not the central part of the story. I just found myself laughing reading this. WHen the bus dropped me off at my car, I just sat in it for 30 minutes to finish Part 1.
How sick is that (lol)

Do you have an URL for her (Miss Murchinson's) work?
Gail Miss Murchinson's fic can be found here: home.mchsi.com/~missmurchison/Chiaroscuro.htmFor those interested, mr. monkeybottoms has begun a sequel to 'The Wacky Adventures of Spike and the Buffybot' called 'The Wacky Adventures of Buffy and the Spikebot'. Only one chappie up yet, and I've not read it, but the first was very funny. monkeybottoms does a great job with smutty/laugh out loud funny B/S. I also recommend her 'Spike Lips! Lips of Spike!' Be sure to read all her authors notes. Here's the URL for her site: www.mrmonkeybottoms.com/Mary

We've been keeping Kimi real busy on the board while you've been away, though. Hope you and your daughter had a great time on your gymnastics vacation. (BTW, just so you don't think I ignored poor Gail's inquiry about Miss M's fanfic, I sent her an IM with the URL 'cause I didn't see her post for til it was a few days old and I wasn't sure she'd still be checking this thread for responses.)
