Kalima/Lord Shiva has begun a new Spike/Buffy novel set in S 6 (of BtVS, naturally). Three chapters are done. Two are in her memories: www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=lordshivaThe newest chapter, 3, is still on her current LiveJournal: www.livejournal.com/users/lordshiva/but will presumably be added to the others in due time. It's EXTREMELY readable, lively, and intriguing. And Kalima is an excellent writer (author of the remarkable "Demons Luminati" and the hilarious Spander fic, "Nicolette Says Jump").

This is a good story, originally appearing in the Angel Book of Days. Here's the URL for the ABOD - a site for just wonderful Angel-centric fiction. www.primalglyph.lunarpages.com/angelbod/I'm fond of last season's (winter 2004) Boys' Night Out and Waiting for Fuel. Enjoy!

I've just read "The Butterfly Effect" by cousinjean. I'm sure it's been recommended here already, but I had to say how wonderful it is. I absolutely loved it!
Does anyone know if there has been a sequel written yet?

Does anyone know if there has been a sequel written yet? Cal The sequel is in progress. It's called 'Ripples.' Fan-bloody-tastic, and incorporating some canonical elements from AtS s5. It's in her livejournal. Hopefully, this link will help you get there. www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=cousinjean&keyword=The%20Butterfly%20Effect&filter=all

www.echonyc.com/~stax/Buffy/nwhepcat/index.htmThis links to NWHepcat's page on BUGGER THIS, which is navigable to the rest of the site. ALL of it is good, although my pleasant surprise for the day was a Xander/Willow fic which is the first story on the page. The Xander/Faith stories are great, too. There are two separate series, one set in s7 and one post Chosen, but like Herself's "Bittersweets" and the series growing from "What She Deserves", they are not continuous. Which is not a problem unless you get embrangled in the timeline like I did the first time I read both. JUlia, easily confuzilated

Thanks Lady Di! I was hoping she'd at least started it. You've just made my day!

This isn't so much a recommendation as a WTF? and call for discussion. Spent most of my reading time yesterday with www.myarseisnotpansy.co.uk/piedm/snakes1.html and am feeling a level of ambivalence equivalent to 9 on the Richter scale for mixieness... Part of it is because of the mechanical difficulties of reading this story, combined with the way too damned many small storylines intersecting factor and the "EVERYBODY GETS VISIONS" thing . I have no trouble dealing with this in hard copy...well, not quite true, as my efforts color coding the first four volumes of Jordan's Eye of the World series would indicate, but because there is no "previous" button, the only thing one can do if faced with a need to review something in a vision Spike has (or, Descartes save me, the Spike babbles in tongues stuff) with something Dru said several chapters earlier is slog through the whole document again in forward mode. Am I just being stupid, or does this fic cry out for some MAJOR organizational improvement and the bashing out of obscuring detail? Julia, not to mention the alleged happy ending, which the more I think of it the worse it gets for Faith and Wes...

Started that right after I started to read fanfic. almost turned me off to fanfic forever. It's not bad, just needs organization. lots of organization. It's a long, complicated, epic, and I think one has to give it lots of attention...which, of course, I don't have.....

It's a long, complicated, epic, and I think one has to give it lots of attention...which, of course, I don't have..... The thing is, it has plenty of relatively good stuff, and keeps feeling as if it's on the edge of being really worth reading, and then there'll be a part that's overwritten or confusing or redundant or all three. And it's got the fingermarks of great effort all over it. Which fact alone means it needs polishing;) Julia, of course since I just went through a page of updates at an archive and found much worse dross than that

Measure of a Man has been updated! This may be the fic that taught me what the dread letters WIP mean, and had not been updated since October of 2003. Chapter five was added about tne days ago, at www.drizzle.com/~gwyneth/#buffJulia, just noticing it's another drizzle.com addie; that's a Seattle based domain
