Let's get this party started. Lots of new stuff just archived at The Bloody Awful Sandlot, www.the-sandlot.com/fic.php?mode=recentThis is a very sweet PG-13 Spander, AtS Post s5 that I just read and recommend as the first thing you read Thursday morning: www.allaboutspike.com All Our Exploring, by Doyle Julia, the latter is not really spoilery, just speculation with a good slice of wish fulfillment

Not that it's an earthshatteringly good fic, but www.livejournal.com/users/spikes_heart/129378.html#cutid1 is the final chapter of the fic "Hell is in the Details" that Cara and I, at least, have been following. Alt AtS s5, Spike, then Spuffy with bad guy Angel and some seriously squicky torture in early chapters. Julia, feels like popping a bottle of champagne when a WIP gets actually finished and not abandoned!

Thanks for mentioning it so others can check it out.

Their completed novel about Vamp!Giles weaving in and out of an AU scenario concerning Glory is "Career Change." The WIP continuation is "Career Advancement." Both tales are to be found at: www.angelfire.com/rebellion/riani1/fic.htmlTheir other fiction is well worth reading, as well, but I found "Career Change" particularly fine. Vamp!Giles is one interesting, dangerous article--both vamp and mage, and teamed up with Spike! (Dru turned him and dumped him on Spike's crypt-step.)

I JUST finished reading this about an hour ago. It was very well written, with a plot that had me going like 60. It's an AU BtVS Season 5, and Giles and Spike are a good team. Next up? waiting for them to finish Career advancement. (I'm into too many other WIPS, and prefer to read a novel when it's finished. But - I see we are synchronized!!

Well, one mystery solved. The babyfic that was driving me bats for a month turns out to be Spike's_Heart's "What Dreams May Bring" to which she's just added a third... chapter doesn't quite convey the actuality of it. Event? Drabblification? Really shouldn't have sweets at bedtime, should maybe have another Metformin or something, reading it makes my head throb the way forbidden chocolate does. Not great lit but pushes all my buttons marked "snookums" www.livejournal.com/users/spikes_heart/131500.html#cutid1Julia, maybe I will go back and buy some Metallica tomorrow?

www.ltljverse.com/index2.htmWhen Hellmouths Collide a Buffy/Herc&Xena crossover yes, it sounds insane, but its insane in the mad brilliant way all the characters I know are spot on (their Ethan isnt my Ethan but he is a perfectly plausible Ethan) and it is absolutely *hilarious* not to be read if anyones trying to sleep near you cause lol enough to wear out laugh muscles

Actually, there are two pages of new fics archived at The Bloody Awful Sandlot, plus Nan's latest chapter of Bllod Rites on a third page, all added May 30 or 31; much of this is updates to WIPs I'm not reading, but there's some stuff worth reading, particularly two short fics by a writer named kindred who I don't thnk I've seen before.
Julia, about ready to move, if not quickly

AnneHedonia (HEE!) has three stories on her site which, together, make up the best Spike/Tara fics I've read so far- nicely written, very true to the characters, and well plotted. They're called Done to Death, Funnybutt, and The Lead and How to Swing It: annehedonia.populli.net/spike/index.htmlThere's also a Spuffy fic on that page that I haven't read yet, but may later today when I have a few minutes. Julia, believes Done to Death was recommended on the earlier recommendations thread, too, but seeing no harm in rerecommending it
