Ok, well, just up at All About Spike. www.allaboutspike.com/fic.html?id=1087Mad Poetess. Something I neglected to read when I first saw it, because I don't do crossovers. Do this one. It sings. Julia, who somehow managed not to copy the link. Will fix.

Julia, who somehow managed not to copy the link. Will fix. Stopped by to post an IM, stayed to read the latest recs. Thanks for this one; it's GOOD. [chuckling]. Anna S. is SO very right: Spike IS the little black dress of fanfic - he goes so very well with every possible pairing. by the way, have you read Paratti's Kamikaze? It's a crossover with Alias, and it's at London Calling...http://www.myarseisnotpansy.co.uk. Just follow the links for Lesley's archive. Finally, a romance/historical novel/occult ('Cause: vampires)/time travel novel by Elen, called Odalisque. It's at 25 chapters, WIP, been beta-d and is being back-beta'd for spelling/homophones. It's a great read, and it's at: nearheralways.com/efiction/viewstory.php?sid=4137If you liked Josey's Highlander trilogy, and you liked Mary's Awakenings/Journeys, then try Odalisque. It's Spike/Willow, set in 1898, in Prague. Trust me; It's gripping and it's good, and the sex is "le hot". Let me know how you like this one, ok?

This is going to be a post accreting by modifications, because if I try to get the links here otherwise I'll dump them. These are both Slash and Het pairing ficathons, as well as Episode Related ones. I'm putting up the ones I've found so far, and will probably quote this post when I find new ones, to keep the list together. Or something. It's quite possible if I'm more rational tomorrow I may remodel the entire concept. These lists are presented as a public service. No endorsement of any particular fic is intended, unless stated in a separate post. My sampling of the fics herein has indicated a wild variation in quality: some lovely and some unreadable. Also, be sure to check the comments thread, as recent updates are not always in the link list. These Communities contain at least some fic content, so: No photo communities, like Marsters Daily. If you want those king of links let me know and I'll post what I've got. Again, this post will be modified over the course of the next several hours. Because I'm a klutz and keep dumping posts or accidentally erasing my notepad. My sampling of the fics herein has indicated a wild variation in quality: some lovely and some unreadable.First, and mentioned before, often, in the Part, is Summer of Spike. www.livejournal.com/users/rubywisp/335521.html#cutid1Quite a nice little piece of Willow&Xanderage, post Chosen. More on the "satisfying character study, with extra points for the art of writing" end of things. Julia, time to go poke the caged animals with sharp sticks

Kallysten and Kantayra have been collaborating on a Spuffy tale spinning out from Tabula Rasa, Tabula Rasa Ad Aeternum, in which the memory spell is not negated and all the characters have to puzzle out and reconstruct their identitities and relationships, not all of which become what they previously were. Not profound, but entertaining. The authors apparently have been at it since April. Twelve chapters are currently in place. It's good reading. www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=kallayra&keyword=Tabula+Rasa+Ad+Aeternum&filter=all

Reliable authors, and all. Maybe after I get my two archive lists together. Julia, no impulse control means way too many WIPs on my bookmark jumble

Warning, Warning WIP Started reading this at Sinister Attraction but the format at Fanfic.net is easier to deal with: www.fanfiction.net/s/1945667/1/Helga von Nutwimple, When in Rome. Full ensemble BtVS/AtS, post NFA. Solid B; maybe raising to A- in some phrases and plotting but mostly exposition-through-dialogue. Gets better and better from chapter to chapter, though, and explores some possible explanations for behavior which is otherwise a bit murky. Julia, up to 22 chapters, and has been updated regularly Also in her LJ at www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=theohara&keyword=As+The+Romans+Do&filter=all

The fine "Career Advancement"--vampire Giles!--by Two Ladies of Quality has updated with Chapter 3. It, in turn, is a sequel to the excellent alternate-Glory arc long tale "Career Change" which I highly recommend. Not much Giles yet in the sequel, but it's to come, I'm sure. Both are to be found at: www.angelfire.com/rebellion/riani1/fic.htmlAuthors update slowly, but it's worth the wait.

Updates are easy to spot there (click on "what's new at the Crypt") if that's a consideration: www.the-crypt.net/
