Hmm, a good seat. The floor is mine. So.... Everyone here is either Spuffy luv4eva or at least Spuffy tolerant (I know who you are, Bangels), but what about Spillow. Surely I am not the only one to feel the bond between these two meta-humans stradling the line between the dark and the light. They get along pretty well, and Willow has been pretty much consistently in the "don't stake" camp when it comes to the scourge of Western Europe. Is this a missed opprotunity by Whedon and Co.? Have they squanderd valuable Spike/Willow interaction to have more shots of Buffy dusting a nameless vamp in darkened cemetary? Why? Why have these two not been given time to glow together? Joshua, I have sneaky designs to commit what you suggest in my current fiction. Willow, the egghead, thinks Spike is basically a jerk and a muscle-head who keeps whatever thinking capacity he has, below the waist. She begins to learn different when he starts making her wiser about ways of handling guilt. And something quite warm and respectful results. Haven't written that part yet, but it's coming. Hope I can do justice to that theme and relationship and interaction, as you state it so well.

Do we have any doctors in the house? Hmmm?
If so, what do you charge for a brain transplant because I am in serious need of one today.
*grabs her Spillow from Joshua and goes to lay down on the floor with Nan's excerpt in hand*

Because I'm asking for feedback, I'm reposting this from part 11.
I've posted the part of Chapter 9 that's the sex scene as its own topic on the Main board and I'm asking for comments. The intended rating is R. There are no named personal body parts, basically no explicitly described actions except for some kissing. The questions are:
1. Does it work (whatever work means in this context) 2. As best you can tell, can it still be accurately described by an R rating? If not, what parts (pardon) cross that line?
I'll REALLY appreciate feedback on this before I send it out to the sites carrying the story.
Nan, I sent you some not very helpful feedback in an IM but neglected to address the rating. I think an R rating is fine. It is definitely no NC-17 and I think it is even tame for an "R". Really, the "R" can only apply to the naughty images your words conjure in the mind in the reader.

Again, just wasting time (I'm actually eating lunch right now so I figured I would play on the board) so I went to BuffyGuide and voted for us. We're now #5!! A WHOO and a HOO are definitely in order I think. [glow=blue,2,300]WHOO-HOO!!![/glow]Woo HOO! Sooo cool, we are. As JM would say We are the SH*T!' (only, without the little asterisk...)

And...I'm going to jump right in here (since I talked to you about it) and give my reaction to your story Enemy of My Enemy so far. I read and enjoyed up through Chapter 7, then in Chapter 8, it got uncomfortable for me. As we've discussed privately, I don't really buy your viewpoint of 'vampire sex' and so your characterization of Spike doesn't seem 'real' to me. So this is not a story I will probably continue. However, I want to also say that the 'WRITING' - the flow and the way the words are put together - the way the thoughts are expressed are 'bloody brilliant'. Your style and talent are great. Just different strokes for different folks...so to speak. *ahem* ;D

Where is that bleeding vote thing? I've been all over that site and can't find it. Diane, I know I posted an answer to you on this yesterday girl! You can vote on our own site. (Scroll down the 'new stuff' section.) To see the results, on Buffyguide, go to 'link database' and then to 'top rated'. You'll see the current standings of the sites they are linked to.

Josh, Perhaps Joss didn't examine the possibilities because it would have been horribly awkward after Willow "became" gay. Nor would she have horned in on Buffy. I either read an interview with Joss or heard about a commentary...sorry not to give the source, but actually Joss did explore the possibilities of putting Spike and Willow together. That's why there is definite sparkage between them in several scenes. It just didn't work out in the master plan, so he didn't (Joss) go for it.

Nan, why not put it in the Fanfic section? Wouldn't it fit there? I don't know how to do that. And since I'm asking for feedback on a small excerpt of a single chapter, I'll take it away again when those who wish to read it seem to have done so.
Sorry I lost you, Patti. But I calls 'em like I sees 'em. Can't do otherwise.

Also, Rob once commented something to the effect that if Spike - who has been with both Buffy & Anya - got together romantically with WIllow as well, Xander would probably slit his wrists, or possibly go into a catatonic state indefinitely. They were really fun together, though.
