I would have thought that with William's apparant class background he would have gone to bording school and so already be familiar with that type of 'fun'. I don't know if it's an absolute, but I wouldn't be surprised. Prissy as he was, William might have been horrified. Diane

Hi Kerrie. I won't be on very long. Today is a much not happy day. Funeral of good friend + sister in town = large over-busy. D'ruther be left alone with my sewing machine. But it's good to hear from someone who's on when I am. As to fledges, it's actually an Anne Rice concept. I don't remember it ever appearing in canon. Sorry to hear about your bad day.

It may seem funny to you Diane, but what if someone pinches the title that you've coveted? This happened to my friend on another board and it still rankles years later. I confess that perhaps my fear of people stealing my desired title of "Australian S'Cubie" is perhaps being a little paranoid, but it would make it that much worse if it happened because it is so totally unexpected. Of the many things that rankled me over the years, I'd have to say that one was a little low on the priority list. Still, I suppose if the title meant a lot to me... Maybe your friend just has to make up a better title.

There is no-one suitable for Dawn to pair with yet, but she is getting older and Buffy had Angel when she was about Dawn's age. Did you notice that Buffy, at least, is staying 21 forever? No birthday. She is just like Barbie. Looks a bit like her too! Only shorter. Then they'd have to invent someone for her. I can't see her paired with any regular that wouldn't have an "ew" factor. Buffy is not shorter than Barbie. Buffy's 5'2". Barbie's only 11 inches tall. Silly. Diane

Dave! *HUG* you are so missed! Are you talking about the Galaxy Quest DVD? I don't even know what an 'easter egg' is....except at Easter. Patti - Since he mentioned Tim Allen I'd assume he was talking about the Galaxy Quest DVD. An Easter Egg is a hidden... surprise. In software, it often refers to something the programmers put it in without the knowledge of the higher-ups.... just the right keystrokes in that program or sequence of mouse clicks bring up Easter Eggs in such programs. On a DVD, it more typically refers to hidden ("surprise") features.

Hi - just wanted to recommend an Angel book that I finished this wkend. It's VENGEANCE by Scott Ciecin and Dan Jolley.
Most of the books about Buffy/Angel are classed as teen fiction but some of them are very complex. This one was one of those. In this one Angel battles Lilith, the first wife of Adam and a total evil witch. There is a magical symbol which wreaks havoc and almost destroys Angel. Souls play a vital role. But the eeriest thing is a slight similarity to the season finale of Buffy. Since the book came out in August 2002, it had to have been written in 2001.
It think some of you might enjoy it as a good beach read.
P.S. Where would I find "Lovingkindness" by Herself?

I did a search there and this is what it found: www.allaboutspike.com/auth.html?au=117I don't read fanfic so the others will have to confirm for me but it looks to be the story they were talking about

I too was off the board this weekend (had to work) and I missed it!! I'm caught up with this section but haven't even begun to work on Part 12 - I have to catch up on 25+ pages and, unfortunately, I have to work. Anything good I missed in the last part? Rae, I hope you have a great morning!!

Rae, I hope you have a great morning!! Thanks, Lee! Hope you are having a wonderful morning as well. As for what you missed, I'm not sure as I still need to go back and catch up myself. I skimmed through it lightly (looking for anything directed at me or moderators) and it looked like they were having some good discussions. However, I am slammed at work and shouldn't even be taking time to write this message much less going back to give Part 12 the attention it deserves!

I have to catch up on 25+ pages and, unfortunately, I have to work. ? Hey Lee and Rae, The good news is that 25 pages here is "only" 375 posts, on ScoopMe is would have been 500 posts. (Or, on ScoopMe 375 posts would have only looked like 16 pages). I still think is was easier to scroll thru lots of pages on ScoopMe (if you just read titles and didn't open them). It's the only thing I miss--and too minor to worry about. Sue

Lori, I think you can find it at allaboutspike.com. I did a search there and this is what it found: www.allaboutspike.com/auth.html?au=117I don't read fanfic so the others will have to confirm for me but it looks to be the story they were talking about I read the story. Not bad, but perhaps a bit too many graphic details about oral sex than I wanted to read. Some interesting themes, though. Overall, not one of my favorite Spuffy fanfics.
