I've made my way through all the posts. In part 18, Diane said: I don't know about them, but my friend Deb reacts to him much the same way as I react to Spike. Damn if I can see why. Crowe bad. Spike pretty. Them's fighting words with me! Russell Crowe is gorgeous - I absolutely adore him! Yes, he's a "bad boy" but he is one sexy "bad boy". Have you seen him in Gladiator? Putting aside his wonderful performance in that movie, did you see him in that skirt?! Whoa momma! He looked mighty fine in that Gladiator outfit.

Can we still post in Part 18 or do we need to switch to this one? I didn't know since Part 18 is still open. I'm going to post in here....even if I'm the only one. EDIT: Well, is my face red now or what? As soon as I posted this I noticed that Rae, being the wonderful technopagan that she is, had already locked Part 18. Whoops! Sorry about that one....

If you liked him in Gladiator, check him out in LA Confidential. Even though, like Cider House Rules, the movie compresses several book years into one, it's still worth a rental. Russell Crowe and Guy Pearce, mmm - gotta love those Australians.

"My husband loves Sarah McLaughlin. I prefer Loreena McKinnett. "
MWAAA HA HA HA HA....
Our insidious plan of world domination continues! First Animation, now music!

I think Robin Williams was woefully miscast as Garp but everybody else was excellent - I just can't figure out how they decide when to be faithful to the book and when to send an airplane crashing into the house. John Irving tells the woeful tale in My Movie Business, which is pretty funny.
As for Mr. Williams, I like him in small doses and when someone reins in his whimsy. So, yes to Good Will Hunting and Dead Poets Society but no to Mrs. Doubtfire and a screaming, running-from-the-room, no to Hook.

Russell Crowe and Guy Pearce, mmm - gotta love those Australians. LA Confidential is great! Not only does it have two extremely good-looking Australians (Crowe and Pearce - yummy!) but it also showcases my favorite actor and, in my opinion, the sexiest actor, hands-down - Kevin Spacey. (Warning to Ellie: He's mine! ). I think Kevin Spacey is just deliciously sexy. My friends tease me about that. Doesn't bother me. Not only he is a terrific actor but there's just something about him that is just so.....sexy. He's not good-looking in the Cary Grant sense but there's just something about him that drives me wild. Can't explain it but man, is he sexy!

I could get quite obsessed with Spacey. William H Macy, too, I think. ASH, of course, has always struck me that way, also Bradley Whitford on West Wing - Rob Lowe never does it for me, for some reason. Maybe because he's too obviously pretty.
I better go drink my morning cuppa before I get any sillier - Wheatabix for breakfast (strawberries instead of blood, though)!

Sorry about that Lee... There was a "pause" in between my opening the new part and locking down 18. I wanted to make sure no one was in the middle of a post and, to be perfectly honest, I got called away from my "locked" post to do some work. Hmph, I don't know who these bosses of mine think they are... interrupting my moderator duties.

I'm so sorry if that's what it sounded like. I just wasn't sure where to post. And looking at it now, I realize the title of my post was mean. I am SO sorry, Rae. I was just trying to be cute and, surprise, surprise - it didn't work. One of these days I'm going to learn how to keep my mouth shut. Heigh ho, heigh ho, it's off to work I go....

I think I know you too well to think you were being mean to me (you know, especially since you called me a wonderful technopagan ). I was just explainin' why there was a delay.

You are never mean! It is obvious you were just reminding her of something you thought she'd forgotten, which, if she'd really forgotten, would have been helpful. Lee Hollins, mean! A sign of approaching appocolypse...

Yeah, the Canadian Government knew it would never win a conventional war with the US, and so fifty years ago it began a genetics engineering program to create the greatest actors, comedians, and musicians in the world. Hehe...Russell Crowe Fightin' Round the World. Ridiculous.

After reading last night's posting extravaganza, it occurred to me that BtVS and the Jossverse are your quintessential melting pot:
We have conservatives, liberals (me!), women, men, people living all over the world, a wide variety of spiritual beliefs, and I know at least one atheist who is a huge fan, many professions, many ages, many ethnicities - all coming together over - a TV show! Gotta love it!
