Becky, your daughter is adorable. Oh goodness, why do I have a daughter! sigh! Your husband has to be worreid! Has anyone heard from EG? I heard about a commuter train derailment in Chicago, and the only people I think from Chitown are deborah (who I see on this morning) and eg. Just want to know she's okay. Tried calliing her home number and no answer. Of course, I wouldn't expect her to be at home at this time on a Monday morning. Unfortunately I don't have her worknumber. But if there was a train derailed on the same line she uses to get to work then her commute will be prolonged significantly. As for her actually being on the train that derailed, well that would be remote and let's hope, unlikely (KNOCK WOOD).

Becky, Good to hear from you, great picture. I like your new(?--I'm so unobservant) avatar. How can you read reviews and be unspoiled? A few of us have been trying to let Kerrie know (just in a general way) when the main thread dies down on the episode discussion. (Again, very generally it goes nuts Wed nite, Thursday, and then starts to taper off, especially as the reviews are posted and discussion moves over there.) We usually post the info on the "unspoiled" thread--but, of course, no guarantees. Sue Thank you, Sue, you are the first person to notice my new avatar. I looked long and hard to find the right one to match my S'cubie name. And as for being spoiled, I'm making up my own rules on this. I won't read the board for a few days until the nitty gritty, every last detail-type discussions die down and I won't read wildfeeds or EOnline! but I will read the reviews, Nan's just because I like them and the others because they often post major spoiler warnings. So, I guess I'm semi-spoiled. Yes, everyone, you are spelling Halley's name correctly and yes, I do think she's a cutie. She already had one of the college guys here give her a gift of a Beanie Baby and Tony and I could see the future. John, I'm for a background check and he's for standing at the front door with a baseball bat. One good thing about living in a small town is that we do know most everybody and whether or not they should be dating our daughter. Caraleigh, I'm both sorry and annoyed to hear your bank/mortgage news. They are aware that Brad is starting a job in January? And that you and your family are not exactly risks to trash the house and leave town? Stupid, shortsighted people. Sigh.

It's a cool, cloudy day here in the Seattle area (par for the course in Octoctober . Watched OMWF yesterday afternoon on Buffy . . . forgot how much I actually like the episodes and found myself smiling and laughing throughout. I actually picked up the soundtrack a few weeks ago and listen to it at work. Now I get to find a new dentist in my area. Was eating Wheat Thins this weeken and when I was finished, realized I had broken off a front portion of one of my molars . . . luckily it had a filling in it and it's still intact, so no nerve exposed so good for me in no pain as I have such a low tolerance . . . but now I have to go to the dentist, which btw I hate. Ta for now.

It was the Rock Island Train (a Metra commuter train) that got derailed; one of the ones that goes to the suburbs. I've been taking the bus for awhile now, rather than than the el; it's much more soothing going down Lake Shore Drive and staring at the lake out the window. Thank you guys for being concerned. I feel the love!

Hooray! Good to know both of you guys are safe! Safe, and newly coiffed! Spent all day Saturday getting my hair cut and dyed (black/purple); one of my coworkers says I now look like Shirley Temple's evil twin.

Does anyone here watch Smallville. I saw S1 for sale at Sam's last week and was wondering if it was worth the money?

You sheared those long, fairy-tale (punk) princess locks of yours? Awwwwww. Ah, well. No doubt it looks great. I got mine cut about a month ago. When we finally meet for breakfast again we'll express our mutual admiration for each other's new 'doos.

How short did you go?

Some more of Chapter 7 is posted. Rolling right along now. May finish 7 by tomorrow, after a slow and labored start. Guess I hit the downhill part. www.livejournal.com/users/nandibble/3309.htmlGlad you're OK, eg, and thought to check in. When something like that happens, we worry until we know.

Season 1 is good and probably worth the money, if you're into those things. I'm a long-time comic book fan, and I like seeing their take on his origins. But good writing.

Just to the shoulders; my hair was getting too long and heavy. How 'bout you? How short did you go? Between chin & shoulders, layered. But It's already started to grow out. It looks fuller and actually has some body at the shorter length. Even on a day when I haven't washed or blow-dryed it it looks better than when my hair was long. Kind of depressing, considering I've always set such store by having long hair. But I've finally faced the fact that my long hair just didn't measure up to the ideal image I have of long hair. Actually, I came to that realization when I was trying to find a photo to send Patti for my profile. My long hair looked like crap in everyone I looked at. I cut it off the next day.
