It was a difficult choice, but I made my decision. I feel like Mrs Robinson, though. LOL. Well, I feel like a lesbian then ;D

Has anyone been watching Joan of Arc? I know I am generally a lover of crappy TV (Hey, at least I know it's crappy), but this show is really good. Good acting, good writing a fairly original premise with layers and surprises, and it makes you think... well, it makes me think. (SHUSH all of you! ) Really, it is something I assume most of the S'Cubies would like. I ADORE Joan of Arcadia and I'm actually half expecting it to be cancelled because it is far too intellegent with too many layers for the network to keep it around. I started watching it because Amber Theisen (sp?) is such a great actress (Why else would she be Dawn's best friend?) and was struck by how non-hokey the story line is. I figured, yeah so God is appearing to this girl, how hokey is that! But it works well because Joan's God works in mysterious ways. Like how he maneouvered Joan into the path of a serial killer so that that killer would take of speeding after Joan scared him off, and the killer would be caught on a traffic violation. Poetic! Joan of Arcadia is now on my VCR tape settings and it is definitely the best new show of the year. Micha

Gotta love eBay. I've now bought stuff from all over the world - literally. It's a money sponge, though.
By the way, Hi, Dave! Nice to see, uh, read you again.
Thanks for the heads-up on the dolls. Collector figurines. Whatever. I emailed the shop link to a friend who likes to re-dress them - she did the Babylon 5 ones as Musketeers and the smaller Spike as a rock star, as I remember.

Bad perhaps, but you captured the gist of the conversation perfectly well. That's how Spike's Pants started this crazy little group of ours. When we started who would have known how we would grow... *uhh*... expand... *drat* multiply and prosper, yeah that's it, prosper. *durned mental images!* Micha Oh, no, wonderful mental images! Might one say, captured the thrust of the conversation? Maybe better not. I don't know what's gotten into me this morning, but it's having fun.

You're just getting into the essence of S'cubiedom, this is what got the S'cubies kicked off the main ScoopMe episode board in the first place. Oh, and may I add that I adore the pic of Spike looking down and saying "Oh look at that!" Very funny and very apropos. Definitely Pic of the Week material. I wonder who posted that. Micha

Well yeah. If you're not that way you don't get the parts. If rounder women were chosen for these parts, or shown in magazines and in films you'd have a lot more healthy teenagers and a lot fewer unhappy women. However, as I've said before, fortune favors the breastless and hipless. Dianne, your avatar is great! So funny! Although, I did that to my wife soon after, and she didn't find it so funny (I love her, she's the only person who gets my sense of humor). Anyway, this is one of the fears I have in raising a daughter. Women have so much more pressure on them as far as appearance, and I just don't want her to be preoccupied with that.

Prior to Spike, they'll be releasing Angel and a variation on Buffy. I want the Angel one . . . woiuld prefer a full body one of Spike.

Here's a mental image for the ladies -- the 12" Spike doll has removeable clothing. He can be undressed ... Oh Dave! Stop teasing us! Unless... was this Spike doll designed by someone at the VHISN? Hmmmm.... I must go quiz my engineering staff. If they are behind this I'll get to the bottom of this! And if they are behind this, I'm sure Spring won't be dissapointed with the turn out *ahem* that is, with the specifications of the aforementioned doll. The doll will be full-body, I was just limited on pictures -- I thought the closeup of Spike was better than this full-body shot. And in the event anyone is confused, this is a Spike action figure in this picture, not Spike himself.

I don't hold a lot of hope for Spike, Angel or the second Buffy. Faith, on the other hand .....

You all are making concentration on these dry TAX DOCUMENTS I must review today very, very, very, difficult. You guys are really getting to me, and it is normally very difficult to get my pure-as-the-driven-WHITE-snow mind going in this kind of direction.

Micha Joan of Arcadia is one of the few new shows of the season that I had marked out of the new Fall schedule to watch and I have still not seen it. So far, I haven't been home in time to catch it or else I forget it's on. I'm one of those who watch very little *other* TV. I'm taping the daytime AtS reruns on TNT which I watch when I get home from work. Then if I don't watch a BtVS or new AtS (read Just Rewards) rerun the TV usually goes off. Except sometimes I keep Animal Planet on low in the background while I'm reading fanfic and turn it up if something intriguing comes up there. Oh, sometimes I still watch American Dreams on Sunday nights and Antiques Road Show. But nothing with any regularity and committment other than AtS now. I know I'm missing a lot of shows that I would really enjoy, all my science, history, British dramas & mysteries and a a couple of US dramas and comedies, but there's just not enough time. AtS & BtVS and fanfic are my priority. I haven't rented a video in maybe six months. Haven't seen a film in at least three. Probably won't either before Return of the King, most likely on Christmas day.
