We appear to be in immediate danger of losing part 58. No posts are registered and the dreaded N/A has appeared. If there's a way to rescue it, please do so!

Got the ICQ...inspected the board...everything is hanging in there, tho the outside numbers are incorrect. I ran a board fix on it. Not much more I cna do...if she goes down, she goes down. I doubt its going anywhere, but if anyone made any important historical fantastic posts in Part 58, they might wanna save them somewhere. Vlad

We didn't lose it, but if you look for it on page 1 you might think so. It has taken itself off to the bottom of page 7 along with a few other parts which went funky.

I have temporarily "stickied" the Part 58 up towards the top for those that may have not read the posts in it yet and would have a hard time finding it. Eventually (probably around part 60) it wil lbe unstickied and probably sink back to the depths of the last page again. Vlad, Moloch Tamer

The cats got me up early demanding their breakfast, so I figured I'd see what was happening in S'cubieland. I see Moloch is rattling our chains again. For me, part 58's still on page 1, right below part 59, N/A's displayed, and not locked up yet. It looks like a trap. I'm not going in there, something might get me. Going to make tea now and see if I can actually wake up. I love my cats, but there are limits to my patience.

Good catch, thanks, Vlad.

Awww shucks, ma'am. Just doin' my job. Vlad, TA, tp Seems that the previous parts we thought lost were not, and reside safely and happily at the very back of the Main board! Never would have thought of looking there, but I'm so glad they are not really gone. Losing words is about the one sin a computer can commit, and one that I find particularly awful (I said awful because I wasn't sure how to spell heinous). Oh, and I just checked at Slayage.com, and they've fixed the URL of the review. It's correct now. So we may be getting some traffic on that account today. Despite the wrong URL, ours is STILL the only review of Hellbound listed. So were were still first.

allaboutspike has a link to a promo for a book of essays about season 7. You can got to AAS and look down the left hand column for "Seven Seasons of Buffy" or just go here: www.benbellabooks.com/sevenseasons/frame.htmI know we all needed more Buffy stuff to spend money on.

allaboutspike has a link to a promo for a book of essays about season 7. You can got to AAS and look down the left hand column for "Seven Seasons of Buffy" or just go here: www.benbellabooks.com/sevenseasons/frame.htmI know we all needed more Buffy stuff to spend money on. Here are a few quotes from the essays: “It seems a pity that all fantasy stories get jumbled together, often sharing the same eager fans. They shouldn’t be. Because the deep moral lesson of Buffy is the opposite of Star Wars. It has nothing at all to do with feudal legends or Lord of the Rings . . . or even Dracula, with its gloomy maunderings about futility and the past. Go ahead, picture Buffy in those tales. She’d knock those epics off their carefully laid rails with the very first irreverent, questioning words out of her mouth. -- David Brin, Buffy vs. the Old-Fashioned "Hero" “Buffy is compared to King Arthur in the final episodes, from her sending Angel away because it is her fight, not his, right down to pulling the weapon with which to defeat The First out of a stone. . . . [T]he crux of the difference between Buffy and Arthur (or any other hero of the monomyth) [is that] Buffy defies the tradition that has the hero of the monomyth dying in the final battle by fighting alone or with only a single faithful companion at his side. Like a mother providing for her children, Buffy shares her power and survives." -- Nancy Holder, Slayers of the Last Arc “For all the beauty and wonder of Buffy the Vampire Slayer though, branding itself into our culture and collective hearts, I have noticed one disturbing trend in the series: the emasculation of the male characters. I have a theory about this. My belief is that Buffy is, in fact, her own special breed of vampire. Whereas traditional vampires suck the blood from their victims, Buffy drains the testosterone from the characters she is involved with—this appears to be the true source of the Slayer’s power.” -- Sherrilyn Kenyon, The Search For Spike’s Balls There are more quotes on the site. Looks like one I might need to buy.
