Got this program a while back called Webshots that cycles my wallpaper automatically. I have it set for every 15 minutes. Anyhow, because I had the software, I'd been downloading all the BtVS and AtS wallpapers I could find, on account of they automatically rotate. Thought I had more than 200. Just updated to the newest version of Webshots, which has a counter -- I have 875 different BtVS and AtS wallpapers loaded on my system!
Obsessed much?

No not at all Dave . . . you should see how pics I have on my harddrives (I do have more than 1) of DB/Angel and JM/Spike, plus the 2 cd's I recently purchased from eBay full of more DB/Angel and JM/Spike pics.

I was excited when I heard about this, but it's due to start around 5 pm eastern time and that's 2 pm west coast time, so I doube many of us on the left coast will be seeing it. It's due to end about 8:30 pm eastern time and it's just getting dark here in Washington at that time. Guess I'll have to watch the rerun of it on the late news tonite. Yeah, I just noticed the same thing. Grumble, grumble.

...Actually, I draw the line well before my own species - killing of things that obviously have feelings, even very limited ones, really bothers me. I trap mice in the house and take them to a field and let them go. (So a cat can eat them.) Are you vegan, then?

She's only 23!!!!!!!!!! That means she was probably 19 or 20 when she & JM dated and he was 37 or 38. I guess he is or was living out his adolescent fantasy of getting the "hot chick" that wouldn't have given him the time of day when he was a teenager. Hey, Nicki: He's a veal kind of guy... And, she's quoted in the article as saying that she doesn't date actors; they are too self-involved and egomaniacal. Hmmm... personal, much? Ah, she's 23! I have items of clothing (scarves, jewelry, clogs) from the '60s.... IOW - she's young. she's naive - give her another 3-5 years, and she'll do better with interviews. She also told one interviewer (saw the article someplace, can't remember where) that she didn't know that JM was 40; she thought he was in his late 20's, early 30's. She comes across as a sweet, slightly ditzy, young woman. Shades of Harmony! and, on a personal note: how is your back today? hope it's better.

Same here. This was also about the time I found out he was was from California and not England. I posted on a part or two ago, that my sister-in-law (who is English) was fooled too. I was a little surprised that she couldn't tell. When I saw Spike the first time, it was in Smashed. I thought he was about 30. Then, watching Wrecked the next week, based only on his C A R E F U L D O N ' T S P I T O N T H E K E Y B O A R D abs and stomach muscles in the opening scene. Later, in season 7's Beneath You, in the final scene, I studied (college professor....research here, very serious research) his body again, and thought, Damn! That is one fine maybe-40-years old man. The body always tells. My gran (you remember her? the pain-in-the-ass former suffragette and political radical I talk about from time-to-time?) told me when I was a little girl that women reveal their age in their elbows and men in their stomachs. She's never been wrong. By the way, when I saw him in School Hard, I thought he was about 30, but, having already seen him in Smashed and Wrecked (back-assward viewing, I know), I figured he has great skin, great genes, and takes real good care of himself. Also - doesn't drink. Alcohol ruins the body and makes the skin look like 50 miles of bad road.

On reading this, I think you need to get out more - and, no more dating petite, hazel-green eyed, young, blondes with mystical powers for you! Ditto on the dark-haired, young, doe-eyed stacked brunettes with mystical powers, too! May I suggest a robot girl. There's a company in southern California that makes robots to spec. Called The Trio. The owners-designers are a little nerd-geeky, but they do a real good job. Last one they made not only featured "extra" programming, but was strong enough to fight a demon-god and a bunch of really Hell's Angels bikers. With one of these robot girls, you can not only continue your religious beliefs (which you mistakenly call an obsession) and practice safe dating at the same time. On second thought, I should have altered this a little and posted it on the nerd alert!

I read an interview with her a couple of weeks ago and the interviewer was asking her about the date they had. When he mentioned JM's age, she was shocked. She thought he was in his early thirties. I don't know where I read that, it was a link from a journal I read. Which makes it even worse, 'cause he knew how much older he was, even if she didn't. I personally have no problem with a large age difference. I feel in love with someone 13 years younger than me, but he was 25 and everyone thought he was older than me.

I think that we need to be aware that our bad thoughts could lead to bad actions, but I don't want to feel guilty, or do I think we should feel guilty for having them. I think part of accepting being human is also accepting that there is a darker part of our nature. If we are made to feel too guilty for just our thoughts how can we ever forgive ourselves for any of our bad actions? I think it could lead to a loss of hope and our humanity. That's not saying that we shouldn't be responsible for any wrong we might do. We should. But to burden ourselves with guilt and not move on, I think that would be a fate worse than death. I think we feel pretty much the same, we're just coming at it from different directions.I do agree that we can't burden ourselves with guilt and stop even trying to do what's right, that would lead to hopelessness and despair. I guess the main difference is that I don't feel forgiving ourselves is the important thing. I feel, probably because of my religious background, that the forgiveness of those we've wronged and the forgiveness of God is the important thing. Fortunately, the Bible says of God that "He forgives in a large way." After all, the parable of the Prodigal Son shows how willing He is to forgive. All the son had to do was show a willingness to stop his bad acts. The father didn't require a certain amount of good acts before showing his how happy he was to have him back.

They're out of the robot-building business now (one's started a rock band, and the other, the short one, has moved to Stars Hollow and is running marathons), but suggested two lady vampires and a technopagan that were accompanying them for the weekend. The technopagan was certainly an attention-getter, overshadowed only by the blonde vampire. The technopagan has given up her pagan ways and is seeking Jesus; the blonde vampire is over her obsession with a certain broody vampire-with-a-soul and is involved in a relationship with a little troll calling himself the Cryptkeeper; and the other vampire, well she's just as insane as ever.

Dave, Last weekend was serious great fun. Have you come back down from the high? Also, I don't remember from your previous postings - were you a major RLaM or JB fan prior to the con? If not, was it their personalities that provided the nudge to love? Interested here; fascinating progression....

If you're looking for an avatar I've added 15 or 20 new ones to page 5 of Avatar Alley - some were added to a previous post, and some are in a new post - all are up for grabs.

If not, was it their personalities that provided the nudge to love? Interested here; fascinating progression.... I'd always been a big fan of Darla. Following the sequence where Angel went through the trials because she was human and dying of syphallis, and then when she staked herself to save Connor, plus the whole undead Thelma and Louise routine she did with Drusilla. Darla's just been a fun character. But Julie really impressed me when I met her face-to-face; she's got a very, very sweet personality that doesn't come through very much in Darla, and it impressed me how different the two are. It shows the depth of her acting ability. The woman is a pure talent. Robia, on the other hand, I always wanted to meet. Jenny Calendar is such a spitfire, the way she can get Giles' goat time and again, she comes across as very much fun. And for all her protesting that she and Jenny are nothing alike (Robia says she's very conservative, not the spitfire that Jenny is), she still has every manerism in real life. She is Jenny on so many levels in real life.
