Hey, Len - Demon's Advocate is definitely you. How about the more archaic spelling of Dæmon (or daemon) for fun? I really should go do real stuff. I'm going to let Kitty/Kitsa/Kathy (she's trying to change her name) have a turn at the computer, so I won't be tempted. Later! I LIKE the archaicness (is that a word?) of Daemon - however, somehow when I think of Jossverse demons like the ones in Spike & Angel, it doesn't seem quite right! Does that make sense? (by the way, is Daemon pronounced exactly thew same way as demon?) (and how do you do that funky "ae"??

I was starting to panic! Couldn't post, board said everybody was offline and a list of people who were supposed to be on line...aaaaakkkk...thanks Dave.
Anyway - Spring said I always thought the story of William's father went like this...
William's father was a raikish, rouge, name Rodger (points for alliteration). He was quite the charmer and womanizer. Anne was a mousy, plain woman but she had a good heart and her Daddy had left her a LOT of money. So Rodger turned the charm on poor Anne and she fell for it, hook, line, and sinker. Marriage certainly didn't put a damper on Rodger's activities though, if anything, with the new money, he enjoyed himself a little more.
He kept Anne happy, so long as she got laid once in while, she didn't question him. Rodger figured that after coming home from the local tavern, that after 2am, even she looked good. When he found out that Anne was knocked-up, that was just more of a prison than he could take.
He took off for America because he had heard it was a land of opportunity. He went out one night for smokes and just never went home.
Poor Anne was devastated. Little William comes into her life and becomes the companion Rodger wasn't. Fortunately for Anne, Rodger left her a little money so she could live comfortably.
Fortunately for William, he inherited his father's handsome looks, fabulous body, and athletic prowess. William grows up without a male figure in his life and coddled by Mum.
I think that about covers it.

OH Mah Gawd!! I'm sorry to burst forth with this now, just when all of you have gotten tired of discussing the episode I'm sure, but O MY GOD!!! I just watched it (I had *gasp* plans on Wednesday night) and he's back!! He's back!! I know this was one of those pivitol episodes of the season. Or, as my boyfriend puts it, "The MEAT!" Things I loved--- - What huge battle between the champions! Lovely lovely vamp flying! And it turned out to be a "Do the Dew" ad. Rad.
- Man, Angelus is SOOOO evil. And I never thought about how much more evil a vampire Spike was because of Angel.
- Harmony and Gunn getting to say what they actually think.
- Gunn throtling the much despised Eve!! I screamed "kill her, kill her"
- Blondie Bear and Harmony hooking up! All coropeally!
- Flash in a box. I wasn't expecting it, and damn it was cool! And at the beginning of the ep when Spike walked through a column, I thought, "When he becomes corporeal again I hope they have him walk in to stuff because he's gotten so used to it" and voila, not 1 minute later...!!!
- I felt so much of this episode was not just the characters talking with each other, but the writers talking directly to the audience:
Eve: I'm not the bad guy.
- The man with the axe coming to attack Gunn and Eve.
- And the love of my life, Lindsey!!!!Now all I would need is a little Tom Lenk and I'll be the happiest of campers that ever camped at Camp Joss.
Again, sorry this is totally out of time, but I just had to share. Michelle

Yeah, we all wish a lot of things, Spring, but you must never forget what happened last time you violated the restraining order....... What? Are you saying you won't wire me the bail money this time??
Hey - just for a chuckle - as many of us in Ohio prepare for the big game (Ohio State vs Michigan) this weekend -here is a joke making the rounds in the email: Dear Abby, I am a crack dealer in Columbus, Ohio who has recently been diagnosed as a carrier of the HIV virus. My parents live in a suburb called Worthington and one of my sisters, who lives in the suburb of Dublin, is married to a transvestite. My father and mother have recently been arrested for growing and selling marijuana and are currently dependent on my other two sisters, who are prostitutes in Grove City, a small town outside Columbus. I have two brothers. One is currently serving a non-parole lifesentence in Lucasville for murder. The other brother is currently in jail awaiting trial on charges of sexual misconduct. I have recently become engaged, and all things considered, my main problem is this: I love my fiance and look forward to bringing her into the family and I certainly want to be totally honest with her. Should I tell her about my cousin who is a Michigan fan? Signed, Worried About My Reputation

So does that mean we might find some 1/2 cousin a few generations down the line coming to town? Perhaps one of those 1/2 cousins was a blonde haired woman in Sunnydale?? Or perhaps his dad was vamped in the US? Or perhaps he tracked down his dad and sired him?? hmmmm...

OH Mah Gawd!! - What huge battle between the champions!
Michelle
My first impression was *the battle of the Titans". Loved it. Also, it was discussed previously...did the early label of Mountain Dew have a lightening bolt on it? I've asked around and nobody can remember.

Again, sorry this is totally out of time, but I just had to share. Michelle Michelle, Well, you are still days ahead of me. I have to go all the way back to Part 71, read all of it and part 72 and, by tomorrow, most of part 73. But maybe I can get caught up over the weekend, when posting is fairly slow (ususally). Not sure though, with the holiday coming up, kids coming home and a wedding shower (daughter's friend) to conduct. I may be posting on this ep two weeks from now. At least I'll feel like I can say anything I want in response to the reviews, since I haven't already posted on it here. Still, gotta go watch the TNT eps from the last two afternoons (Season 2) before today's comes on. How do you people work and post?? MB--only 5 more posts and you'll move up from "Junior" to "S'cubie." You go, girl! Sue

Should I tell her about my cousin who is a Michigan fan? Signed, Worried About My Reputation First off, the bail money ... last time it took all we could muster, and from what I understand, those Gypsies that Vlad had to sell his grandmother to aren't treating her very well at all. So I wouldn't hold my breath this time. Secondly, the Dear Abby e-mail. There was a variation that was going around about the time of the Iraq war, where the cousin was French. Basically the same joke. In either case, someone has a very, very warped imagination.

We've got a good number of "fairly N'ubies" signing on and off on the front page. Methinks they are checking in to see if the review has been posted.
Nan, might it be a good idea when you set up your review page (even before the review is posted, while the part is still locked) to put in a sentence directing folks to the current thread for discussion.
Your thread, your call.

But Spike running into relatives - that would be neat.

Maybe you'd be better off hiring the French figure skating judge. You'd probably get a better score.....

Grading your own writing now? Maybe you'd be better off hiring the French figure skating judge. You'd probably get a better score..... It was confusing the way that was written, but it was lparish who wrote that, and I was grading her stuff. If it was mine, I'd have to lower the sex & violence score.
