//Personally, Frank Langella's Dracula was the only one I believed... //
You and Angel both, my dear. :-)
Loved "Eternity" when he told that to the actress. That was a particularly interesting episode of Angel.

LOL. No Patti, I think you covered everything. I'm not sure all those wishes will come true, but some of hem just might.
As far as tension on the set goes, I'm certain that had nothing to do with it. Even if there was knife cutting tension (and a few comments from Freddie don't make me certain there is) their work wouldn't change.
They're just playing it as it's written.

I don't know if I'm all that good a person, really. It's nice of you to say, though.
Even if....and I emphasize IF...the other actors cannot stand Sarah, I have no doubt that the rest of them get along extremely well.
There are countless articles over the years in which the rest of the Gang talk about real life things they've done together. Some examples:
I read an interview with Aly Hannigan where she mentioned she was meeting Nicky for dinner that night.
Aly mentions in another interview that she was recognized in the mall...while shopping with Emma Caulfield. She had to tell them Emma was on the show too. I'm assuming those fans felt pretty stupid. Funny.
Nicky's unsolicited kind words about James when speaking about how much he admires his relationship with his son.
There are lots of other examples, but I choose to believe that the reason for Sarah not being mentioned as a bonding partner off the set very much is time. They've generally had a little more on their hands than she has.
I guess it comes through here, but I admire Sarah so much that I can't deal with the fact that she could be a total bitca. I choose to believe otherwise.
That might make me more of a blind fool than a good person.

Patti, my love, we need to get together and just party our butts off, because the more you write, the more I feel as if you are in my head. All this time I thought it was the government operating those mind-control satellites, and here it's been you all the time.
I, too, have been dissapointed by this season. It's not that it's been bad, per se. But it and season 6 seem to be lacking some inexplicable magic for me that I felt in seasons 1-5, and continue to feel in Angel. A friend suggested it might be the loss of Giles, he's been such an intrinsic member of the ensemble from the beginning, and now, even when he's back on the show, he's just not quite as participatory as he once was, and I can't help but to feel as if it's thrown the timing of the whole show off kilter. Again, not that it's been bad -- there have still been spectacular moments, and overall its still better than pretty much anything not being produced by ME ... but it just hasn't been magical. Meanwhile, Angel seems to have been even better than Buffy for the past two seasons; it's cast has gelled and they are really finding thier way in the world. I hope with the demise of Buffy and the desire to move Buffy castmembers to Los Angeles, they don't go monkeying around with a winning format and screw that show up in the process.
Anyhow, you are right about a lot of questions going unanswered. I think about the Joyce appirition and what she said; I wonder if at this point if we'll ever know for sure if it was Joyce. Probably only if Joyce turns out to be dead wrong in her prediction (because then will know it was a fake Joyce), because if it's right, well theres the whole "lying with the truth" thing that still raises a question mark.
I'm not planning to answer all your questions, just meaning to use that one as an example. That there's a lot I'm wondering if it will all get tied up in the end.
Do know that JW had said early on that his intention was to build a S7 that, if it was the last season it would feel like the last season, but if there were to be a S8, he'd have wiggle room to build off of (translated, just enough loose threads to not have to completely start from scratch). With SMG's announcement coming as late as it did, I don't think Joss had any intentions of changing his basic plan.

My goodness you folks have been busy! It's late so I'm not going to stay long, and this is going to be a bit stream-of-conciousness.
Considering the question of whether I "like" Buffy. I think it's tough to be chosen. Was Winston Churchill well-liked? (I'm not much good with history, and I'm trying to stay away from U.S. Presidents). Having tons of responsibility and authority is not likely to make one universally well-liked. Also, having to deal with death 24/7 for 7 years probably doesn't make for a laugh-a-minute personality.
I appreciate Buffy. I respect Buffy (ususally). I try to cut Buffy a break.
On a different topic. Or maybe not. I also respect SMG and, from what I can tell, her high degree of professionalism. But from what I know (which is very little) she doesn't seem as fan friendly as some of the other actors (JM in particular). This is not a CRITICISM. It may, in fact, indicate that she has strong enough view of herself that she doesn't need fan-adoration and interaction. She wants to have a private life--good for her. She's not all over the tabloids with rehab and multiple marriages. That makes her a pretty solid act for Hollywood.
But, strangely, the fact that she remains somewhat aloof (or even, in some fans' minds "cold") may contribute to less love for Buffy the character.
Sorry, so muddled. Too late, too much input.
Interesting C.S. Lewis quote: "All of the wars and all of the epidemics have not raised the death toll one iota--it's still one to a customer." Apropos of nothing.

"I also watch most sports, especially my beloved Minnesota Vikings."
And Cris Carter just looks *weird* in aqua and orange.

Ellie said, "I could almost accept Buffy choosing neither Spike or Angel and the two of them bonding over that..." According to a lot of the slash, Buffy could choose both, and they'd be okay with that. But I suppose it wouldn't be fair to Angel to just have to watch all the time so he didn't turn into Angelus again. *L*

Yes, that counts as one of my favorite Angel episodes - it was so clearly a picture of what life is like for Sarah, or David, and I thought the chemistry between the guest actress and David was very good. Also, its fun when Angel goes all Angelus. Plus, the Frank Langella line, which I especially loved because he WAS my favorite Dracula.
