Rusty -
A progression for VHIN is fine with me. I will try to move us to the top of the board tonight after I get home. The posts flew so fast and furiously, I got behind in reading them all (I had to go back to work after my vacation, sigh).

I finally got that posting done that we discussed this morning. It's number 257 on the Episode Board for "Potential" if you want to check it out.

Nice job! I haven't forgotten you either. I am going to go back thru all the posts and copy your delightful rhymes and place them in their very own deserving place on the site. If I miss anything, I am sure you will be a dear and help me, correct?

Rusty said, "Of course I have listed my birth date in vampire years.
Had I known about the Sacto gig I might have been tempted, but felt demographically challenged about actually going."
If you check out my Profile/Bio you will see I'm not even born yet. I couldn't get past the birthdate part of the form without filling in something, so I got creative.
I'll bet you wouldn't be demographically challenged at all (nor would I). I read an account of someone who went to a Sacramento concert and they were not a teeny bopper by a long way. It is not beyond the realm of possibility that some of us might band together and go to one of the Sacramento gigs. I know, you're quoting in your head, 'we band of buggered' right? We are talking the talk, maybe sometime we can walk the walk.

OK. Fess up. Who bought it? You owe us a review. And since a Dire Straits CD by the same name came up in my search I gave in to temptation and bought it and a copy of Sultans of Swing.Amazon.com is a Hell Dimension run by credit card demons

Another cryptic message from Water Gal. Maybe it's just my headache, the late hour and knowing that I will have to stay late at work again just to catch up on all the work that somehow didn't get done between 8:30 - 5pm (can't think why), but I have no idea what your're talking about. Would you enlighten me?

As I mentioned in a recent post, I can't email right now. But having read a few more posts, I see the concept of the web site as a repository for all the items I keep wanting to drag to the next Part, i.e., all the gorgeous pics and interesting web sites we cite, plus all the other things that make us an entity (most notably, VHIN). I could add the web site to the introduction for Part Seven. So I guess I will wait to move us until the web site is okayed by concensus, then I'll add the URL into the new intro.

I am in the middle of eating dinner and will resume on the creation of the page as soon as finished. What you stated about it being the repository for all those things is EXACTLY the reason I am trying to get it done (at least in it's rough form) as soon as possible. Hopefully with some guidance from you I can do jsut that. *smile* Talk to you in jsut a bit. If you go to the page, you'll see that it's slowly growing and changing. the url is: www.geocities.com/scubiefan/Edited By Vlad I at 1/24/2003 6:28:00 PM.

Looked at the website--it's cute! And I grinned at
"This web grope…err…group"
However, "it's seeds" should be "its seeds." You only need the apostrophe for contractions (you expert on apostrophes, you!). Nobody (much) writes hi's or her's, but one sees a lot of wrong it'ses because it's is it is (can you read that OK?), not a possessive pronoun.
I envy you guys being able to post all through the day. I was putting little bitty labels on little bitty boxes--hundreds and hundreds of them.

Vlad, a teensy weensy corrx for the website; the term s/b "Peroxide Blonde" rather than "Peroxided Blonde".
Looking great

I think the website is a great idea and I'd love to be involved somehow... (I haven't a clue about that stuff, and have been feeling the need of a kind technopagan for help). I think the idea of posting Spikecentric reviews but with posting threads here is a good one.
Also, I think a trip to Sacramento would be very cool too. I've been wanting to see Ghost of the Robot since I heard it existed, (Nothing like live singing for the freakishly obsessed.) I regret being too out of it to figure out that it was playing in Sacramento last weekend, I live in the East Bay and it's only about a hour and a half's drive for me.
Taking cue from Water gal, I have set up a new yahoo address juliescubie@yahoo.com
I'm not sure whether I can edit my scoopme profile or not.

oh, I just looked at it, and I continue to be very impressed. As regards to a private posting area, perhaps we could start a yahoo group? Not that I know how to start one... Although maybe you were thinking more along the lines of one-on-one messages, because posts to the whole group might limit the number of public posts.

I went back and looked, and the last post I find from Miss Pamela is #89, in which she expressed a certain dissatisfaction with the volume of responses to her ideas. I then pointed out she was writing at about 5 in the morning and one can't expect all that heavy traffic (or discussion) in the middle of the night. And it looks as if she then went off and hasn't come back since.
I sincerely hope that I haven't provoked or contributed to a walkout. Whoever posts Miss Pamela, please tactfully inquire if it's only attending to other business or a snit. Or not, as the case may be.
Is everyone on earth so thin-skinned, or-- Never mind. I could well be wrong. I hope I am.
I'm going away now to start the coals of fire in preparation to heaping them on my head.
