vlad: looks great. One typo I noticed - in the Links, on the description of Scoop Me, you have "Television" spelled wrong.
I am working on a review of "School Hard". I figured we might as well start at the beginning for Spike.

Oh wow!! Great! I can't wait to see it. Nor can everyone else, I bet. If there's anything we can do to help, let us know.

I currently have my TechnoPagan working on finding the videoclips of the Coffee Couple, I will let you know when I hear back.

Deborah -
The episode containing Spike and 'Faith' in Buffy's body is "Who Are You?", not "This Year's Girl". "Who Are You?" is right after "This Year's Girl" in season 4.

I hope that Miss Pamela didn't start to feel we had strayed from our origins, i.e., that we had less and less to say about Spike/JM and got more involved in joking around. I'd just like her back with her interesting contributions.
I also wish more lurkers/visitors/passers-through would tell us about their thoughts on the character of Spike, or other things they've noticed or found interesting in the series. New 'blood' is always welcome!

Vlad, I'm sorry if you were feeling singled out, but I was referring to my own personal TechnoPagan who is currently speaking to me on the telephone and leading me through a setup thingy on the computer. I'm afraid you don't have the market cornered on technopaganism. But I could call you my Technopagan if you really insist.

To me, one of the most intriguing and creative scenes in the Buffy series is in the basement of the school in "Same Time, Same Place" where Willow is talking to Spike, and Buffy and ?Xander? are talking to Spike and neither of them knows the other is there. Only Spike can see and hear everyone. Anya was able to see Willow also. Why could those two see Willow but no one else? They weren't important enough to Willow to make her fear their reactions to her return?
And the sheer inventiveness of the two braided realities, with Spike in between - very special.

I think it might have been that Buffy, Xander, and Dawn couldn't see her but everyone else could, and she just didn't have any interactions with anyone else.
I don't think she was as worried about her reception with anyone as those three. After all, she was going to meet only those three at the airport, so she probably wasn't really expecting anyone else, and hadn't felt the fear about it.

Thanks, Spring. I was never cut out to be a researcher in any way, shape, or form. It's not how many (or few) days since Miss Pamela posted that concern me--only that her last post (as I thought) was on an unhappy note followed by silence and absence. That can happen quite quickly: days are not required. But I will be hopeful that I've misinterpreted until we find out why she's absented herself--hoping that we do.
None of our "regulars" can be spared!

Thanks, water gal.
It must be nice to have your own personal Technopagan.
(vlad, don't take that as meaning I don't appreciate all the glorious technopaganess you have devoted to this board. But it would be nice to have one installed at home or at work as well.)

That is an inteesting question, Alex.
There is definitely a strong link between those three (Buffy, Willow and Xander).
Personally, I kinda see a Wizard of OZ (no, not Seth Green) thing happening in them. Willow is the "Brain", Xander is the "Heart", and Buffy is the "Courage". It seems to take all three of them linked together to overcome the big difficulties. They actually had to really morph into one during the end of Season 4. Of course...
*starts thinking about it* You know, in some ways that kinda ties into the episode last year where Buffy was in the mental ward and you were left wondering at the end, if jsut perhaps hte whole Buffyverse wasn't a terribly troubled girl's fantasy land. That is very much like Dorothy in WoO. She was out of it because of the tornado. Hmmmm. I remember at the time of watching that episode, if when she was "lucid" (in the mental ward) the orderlies and doctors or other patients would be Xander, Willow and the other character's. Wondering if perhaps Spike wasn't her doctor, since he is always so able to get into her head.

I tell you Julie, the beauty of it is that the engineers always seem to share a building with the computer scientists in Universities, so seeing as I pulled many late hours on campus, I got to know many of those CS guys. The funny thing is, when I moved halfway across the country, so did my technopagans. (Ottawa has been called silicon valley north, though I'm not sure if that still applies since Nortel went down the tubes.)
I will be scanning through video files to find the commercials, but it all depends who is online at any given time, so bear with me. Here's hoping that something that old can still be found online.

I have to say, I feel a bit guilty of too much topic straying. I do absolutely love to hear about Spike and think about Spike, but I haven't been posting about it as much lately.
