You get pretty bloody when you slit an animal's throat. All those TV shows where they show someone stabbing someone and not getting blood on their hands or clothes aren't very realistic. Lizzie? Lizzie Borden, is that you? Okay, true, I related my heart of darkness experience to everyone. But perhaps you should maybe keep this one to yourself. I don't think there is a statute of limitations on murder. ;D Vlad

<snip> I like the theory of Jack's potential homosexuality, though I don't think they'll go there. I think the tattoos will tell us a lot more about the issues his mother was referring to...maybe he joined the Merchant Marine or something. <snip> *Cues the music to that old Village People standard* In the navy Yes, you can sail the seven seas In the navy Yes, you can put your mind at ease In the navy Come on be bold and make a stand In the navy, in the navy Can't you see we need a hand In the navy Come on, protect the motherland In the navy Come on and join your fellow man In the navy Come on be bold and make a stand In the navy, in the navy, in the navy (in the navy) ;D Not to take the wind out of your sails *cough* but, it doesn't have to be an either/or situation. Maybe he was drummed out cause he told when he was asked? Vlad

Did I mention how much I love to cook? ;D I never said I didn't get punished. That place they put me in was horrible. All those crazy people in there. It's a miracle I'm still sane.

(apologies if I'm repeating what someone else has already said)
As I was driving through town earlier this afternoon it occurred to me how counter-intuitive it seems that Kate would side with the folks staying on the beach. Of all the people who crashed, you'd think she'd be the one most reluctant to return to RL given what awaits her. That she'd want to start a new life. And yet both her decision to stay on the beach and her unwillingness to acknowledge her feelings for Jack--feelings she'd have to set aside were they to be rescued, as she'd end up back in custody--clearly indicate she still hopes they'll be saved.
Interesting.

Shannon would eat Charlie alive. I wouldn't wish her on that sweet boy. You ARE evul, Spring! Shannon and Sawyer deserve each other. No...I like Sawyer too much for that. Altho, Sawyer could keep her in her place. Well, if they run out of boar, someone's eating someone sooner or later. Of course, the eating someone alive is a completely different thing. What did Wisteria say about the orgy episode next week? OMG! Did I actually post that out loud?! ;D Lola

I have added to my list of couples I expect to see: [/li][li]Shannon & Charlie (sorry, Karen - can't fight the inevitable [/li][li]Michael & Sun (both needy and already sharing a secret)AND [/li][li]Hurley & Claire (our island sweetie-pies)[/li][li]Kate & Sawyer (I'd be willing to bet they've already had sex with each other dozens of time in their dreams - for Sawyer, daydreams. For Kate - nightmares, but she's having them.)[/li][li]Jack & Boone (they've already frolicked in the surf together, after all.)[/quote] Yes, we need more surf frolicking. Everyone should be surf frolicking by this time. I mean, good heavens, who cares about food and water and shelter and fire and radio signals? Where are these people's priorities, anyway? ;D Lola Obviously, I am losing what little remained of my brain. Oh, if only I wasn't coming in to work tomorrow too. ;D

Locke told Charlie that he had to give something back. Locke might have already paid for his gift by making a deal with the Big Roaring Thing. I thought it awfully strange that when Charlie came to tell Locke that Jack was trapped in the cave that Locke didn't go running off to help. It's like Locke is only really interested in folks when they are having some kind of Island Intervention ™ moment. Otherwise, he's not mean, just politely indifferent. Lola

Interesting. Yeah, she's been acting counter to the way you'd think a captured prisoner would in a lot of ways. Trying to help the Aussy rancher that turned her in. Trying to help the marshall guy. Of course, she could be just really really wanting to go back to civilization, no matter where she ends up. (Although she doesn't strike me as "gotta have modern amenities or I'll go looney" girl.) Or maybe she's thinking that in the hubbub of a rescue that she could slip away. Lola

So...you got chased for a minute on a pig farm, then? I was once attacked by a rooster at a Minnesota auction sale. Top THAT. Got peed on by a rabbit at the California State Fair..... Bunnies.

More evidence for my "communication" theory - Locke knew that this was Charlie's task to perform.
