Just a side thought, but I really can't wait to see what CFL is going to do with the dynamite. I see a big mother/daughter reunion coming soon.

They have improved this show so much over the last 6 episodes. I am so thrilled. This was another winner of an episode. Very dark. I like the funny ones but this one was more on the dark side. Juliette and Jack are definitely in cahoots on something. I still got to believe she is setting Ben up. And I am calling it now, I beleive Juliette will shoot and kill Ben. I hate it is getting so good and now there is only 3 episodes left. I wish it had been this damn good all year long. They almost lost me earlier this year, I am glad I stuck it out. Now they need to drop Nathan Fillion on the Island. That would be a great addition to the cast.

Can Sayid fix the techno gadget phone? Yes! Can Sayid fix the magic Island interferance? I'm thinking, no. Hee! What about us being dead? One thing at a time. ;D That's my Sayid. You want Kate to not spill the beans to her woobie Jack? Um . . . Hee! Locke and Rousseau. Comedy gold. First, he's actually whittling. Then: "Rousseau." "Locke." "What brings you to the Black Rock?" "Dynamite. You?" Cue screaming from the kidnappees. Rousseau is . . . not interested. ;D Lab hiring guy. Ah, named Richard. Oh, yeah. You're trapped on a scary, magical Island filled with killer smoke monsters and insane Others, but hey - look at that view! Hmmmm. Telling him that Benry just wanted to embarrass and discredit you. That the group thinks Locke is "special" (like that isn't going to feed into Locke's issues, big time) and Benry doesn't like that. That the group is her for "more important" things, not just fertility experiments and playing dress up. Oh, Richard thinks daddy has to die too, he just wants to provide you with a murderer so you don't have to do it yourself. He's a giver. Aaaaand kidnapped daddy spills all the beans. Because, yes, he thinks they're all dead and in hell, so why not, eh? Tom Sawyer, yep. "How about that. Sawyer's my name too." And now we see which way he'll jump.

So. Just on the off chance that I end up looking really smart ( ), I'm going to share an email I sent last week to a Lost podcast I listen to: As I've been listening to your discussions of Jack and Juliet the past couple of weeks, it seems to me there's a possibility you haven't given much consideration to: namely, that they could be working together to fool Ben. Yeah, yeah, I know. But please, hear me out:
For one, doesn't it seem a little strange that Jack was still unconscious when Kate and Juliet returns to the Others' little Stepford village? 'Cause if they were exposed to the same amount of knockout gas at roughly the same time, then why wasn't he awake yet? In fact, if anything he should have woken up sooner than she; after all, he's got more body mass than Kate and at that point was likely better fed and rested as well—meaning his system should have metabolized the chemicals faster than hers.
Granted, I seem to recall seeing two gas canisters near where Kate found him. But even if he did get a double dosage, it still seems to me he was unconscious for far longer than twice the amount of time Kate was; after all, we saw Kate and Juliet travel for the better part of an afternoon, hole up to hide from Smokey overnight, and then continue traveling for a couple of hours the next morning. And since it's December, it was likely dark for eleven hours or so. So to me, it just seems like a lot of time for Jack to have been out, much less still be so far under that Kate had to work to wake him up.
Second, there's the brief conversation Jack and Juliet as they headed back to the Losties camp. When she told Jack she'd "dragged Kate into the jungle, handcuffed myself to her and lied about it," Jack didn't seem at all surprised by this information. One could argue that Kate told him what happened, of course. But Juliet certainly didn't sound like she thought she was confessing something, nor was she surprised that he wasn't surprised by the revelation. So either she knew Kate had told him and was trying to seem more trustworthy by being up front about it—which a) expects us to assume a lot of information sharing/gathering took place offscreen and b) still should have caused Juliet to at least pretend to be surprised Jack already knew, since she was also pretending she didn't realize he'd been told—or they were discussing something that was already familiar to both of them.
Finally, there's Juliet herself. When she was confronted by Sayid and Sawyer, she went into that ultra-calm mode she's used before, shutting down any visible sign of emotion and speaking in a fairly flat, matter-of-fact tone. If we presume that's her usual method of getting through a situation without giving away any secrets, then I find it interesting to note she was behaving and speaking the exact same way when Ben was going over the plan with her.
Oh, and my final reason for thinking Juliet's not a mole? The fact that neither Cuse or Damon are behaving, despite having many opportunities during their podcasts to do so, as if her allegiance is still up in the air. That strikes me as more than a little suspicious, as usually they're more than happy to string the viewers along by adding an element of doubt to any situation that appears certain both on the show and in interviews. Benry's impersonation of Henry Gale is probably the best example—they kept us wondering about him for weeks, which only added to the tension when watching him interacting with the Losties. Why not do the same for Juliet? Why tell us from the start that she's up to no good? So it seems like a classic case of misdirection to me.
So here's what I think happened: when the village was gassed, Juliet went to Jack's place and either revived him or shared her gas mask with him until the gas had dispersed. She then told Jack about Ben's plan to use her as a mole, knowing that with most of the Others on the move it was their best chance to have an unmonitored conversation. And now they're both playing their parts: Jack's pretending to be smitten and naive, starting with "waking up" and asking about Juliet virtually right off the bat, and Juliet's acting as if she has every intention of going through with Ben's assignment—both of them working off the assumption that Ben has a way of keeping tabs on their actions and behavior, meaning they have to keep up the facade 24/7.

Can't wait to see how it all fits together. But - what the heck is Danielle up to with the dynamite? You don't suppose she is working with Jack and Juliette on some scheme? Or, as Sara mentioned to me, maybe she's on a mission of her own - to rescue her daughter. ETA: I see you guys discussed this above. I shouldn't start at the end of the thread and read backwards. So, the helicopter that Naomi got dropped had taken off of a ship. That explains how it was able to reach the island. Locke's dad thought he was in hell. Well, he is now for sure. I am so pissed at Locke for setting Sawyer up like that. I didn't like watching Sawyer kill Locke's dad. It was very .... dark and raw.

Ah, the Others are packin' up, blowing this popstand meadow. Leaving you behind, John. Oh, nice twist of the knife, using the "don't tell me what I can't do" line on him. "Unless you're carrying your father's body on your back, don't bother." Well. How very Spartan of you. Yeah, "infiltrate" my ass, John. "Don't tell me I'm your daddy?" "No. You killed my daddy." Here comes the sacred letter. "Blah, blah, blah. So what?" His mom's name was Mary. Well, of course it was. Tears up the letter. Which is the final straw. "You want to go to hell?" And strangles him with his own chains. Kinda poetic, really. "Thank you." Locke, you are . . . . words can't describe what a bastard you are.

Poor Sawyer. And dude! I didn't know Sawyer was from Jasper, Alabama. I've been to Jasper (not that I remember anything about it ). It's only like an hour and a half away from here. And this coincidence can only mean one thing--Josh Holloway and I belong together. Not forever, necessarily; I think one weekend would do the trick. ;D

"Missing those cheeseburgers yet?" Heee! Aaaaand here comes Kate. Jack: Say it to both of us. Blah blah. Juliette: No, I'll go. Blah blah. Kate: **spills guts** OMG, people! Why don't you all just get it over with and have sex already! Nobody told you, because they don't trust you. And you're, what, surprised? Jack is all focused on the "how gonna contact ship" thing. Kate all focused on "don't you care that your friends think badly of you" thing. Juliette all irritating half smile (as usual). Oh, and then we get the "we should tell her" "no, it's too soon" stuff. Oh, my! Are you two, like, plotting something? There are more, like, secrets and double-crosses and plotty twisting? Gasp! No! ;D Sawyer is a wreck. And no wonder. "You can go back now." Well, thanks, Locke. "Why did you do this?" It all boils down to "he had it comin'", which, while true, doesn't answer what he was really asking. Not, why have him kill the man. He meant, why did you do this to him. Why do this to Sawyer! Now he tells him about the Other plans, gives him the stolen tape. Not undercover, "I'm on my own journey". You've always been on your own journey, Locke. No matter what that meant to anyone else. Carry daddy's dead body on back to Benry, yeah you do that. Ewwww!

Locke? Is a total bastard. Complete and total bastard. Yep indeedy. Which means he's the perfect guy to step into Benry's shoes someday.

I wonder if the Others will believe Locke actually did it. I mean, if he couldn't stab his father do they really think he'd be able to strangle him—a much more personal way to kill someone? Or will it be . . . . like, they might not believe, but he did meet Benry's criteria. So, in order to save face, Benry has to go along with it?
