I couldn't get through to the site that Rae (I think it was) recommended, so I did an "Ask Jeeves" for "simple HTML codes" and the best one of the choices that came up seemed to be this: www.elmhurstdesign.co.uk/coding/It has tutorials, and lists of codes one can copy. Nan

OK,
I'm trying something here but who knows if it will work?
OK, some of it worked but not all (surprise, surprise!).
I'm off to the tutorial to see if I can figure out how to do colors ( oohh, aahh ...the sounds of people being very impressed by Lee's technical skills)
I wish there was a HTML code for sarcasm (*L*)- sometimes on this board I'll read something and it will take me a minute to figure out if someone is being sarcastic or serious (but maybe that's just me).
This has all been very interesting - I know my boss is impressed with the fact that I can now insert HTML code into my ScoopMe! board messages (see, this is what I'm talking about - the statement's practically dripping with's sarcasm in my head but it doesn't sound as cool written down. Again, maybe it's just me and my lame sense of humor! ; ) )

Patti
Everything that Rae told you about posting pictures is true.
You have to have the picture uploaded to a site.
However, her suggestion as to getting a free site to upload them to, to post from, is out of date (as I and my fellow senior S'cubies discovered a while back). Most of the free sites now will not let a picture housed on the free site to be displayed elsewhere. I have been searching for a free one that still does to no avail.
If anyone knows of a Geocities/Tripod-ish type site that lets jpgs and gifs to be posted from, please send that info along to me as it will help all of the S'cubies here at S'coopme and also the S'cubie Website. I am only interested in FREE sites as that is all that our S'cubie budget can afford at this time *L*

Lee, I thought it was very sarcastic. And I'm not being sarcastic.

Thank you Patti (nope, not being sarcastic either). I hope my post won't make people think they need to put an aside in their comments just so I'll know whether or not they are being sarcastic. I know I'm a lawyer but I do have some smarts (as opposed to what the general populace thinks of my profession!) -Lee

Whoops! I am sorry Alexandra! I posted your profile last night before going to bed and completely forgot to mention it here.
So to all the S'cubies, here's your chance to go see our fearless leader's profile.
Alexandra is THE reason we exist as S'cubies. We've all added to the S'cubie Experience in our individual ways, but it's Alex who had the vision and the determination and the guts to put herself out there and create a spot for all our active, fertile, and, some might say, rather whacked imaginations.
We love you Alex!

Have I missed posting any positions to the website? The last position filled was Lee H, as our legal defense. (And man, I have a feeling we might need her one of these days *L*) It seems like another post for a newcomer was mentioned but I dont recall if she ever accepted or aknowledged the desire to have a position.
Anyway, I don't want anyone to feel slighted but with all the business, I may have missed one. Fill me in if I did and I will take care of it post haste.

Patti has signed on in the field of Nosfero Behavioral Studies, and her hilarious outline for the Spikecentric Behavioral Studies course was her submission for that post, I believe.
Patti, please clarify if I've got the academic field's nomenclature wrong.

Vlad wasn't it Patti who took a Chair? Except I'm not sure if we formalized the name of the chairship. God, we've already hired her to teach a highly controversial and very popular course and we have no field of expertise listed!
The faculty will please refrain from smoking Weetabix during office hours.

It was me. I originally said student, but if I'm teaching a course, maybe I could be an associate professor of Spikecentricity.
