The way he threatened his father was a little frightening. He's hanging on by a thread. And just before that, when he said those lines: "Gosh mom. Gee dad. Am I gonna go live with grandma?" Such a great delivery by the actor! Man! Logan is sort of a Xander, too. Shares that role with Wallace. Speaking of Wallace, go him! With the basketball prowess and the imaginary cheerleader and how good he's getting at detective stuff himself. (Shaft!) ;D Lola

oh heck yeah! I mentioned last week that my high school was apparently second rate cause we didn't have any secret hooded societies other than Rainbow Girls. Great Triton, bring your horn from below - my my....what was it Veronica said when she took the picture? I DID figure out the locker trick the moment she said 'top locker'. She said: Hi everbody! Say repressed homosexuality! ;D

A 3-day blackout sounds like he must have been drugged. Speaking of Sunnydale, did you all get the Sunnydale High vibe when the Tritons were chanting? I was waiting for the demon to appear. Yep. When they were saying the stuff about "summoning Triton's power" I was waiting for the demon to appear and Spike to come ghosting up from the basement. 3 day blackout could be drugged. Or suppressed memory 'cuz he saw something icky. But I also want to know what the other meds he's taking are and why. Lola

Well, day-um! We got a heck of a lot of plot in this one. I mean, woah! Lily and Weevil. A secret society (robes - shades of Buffy, anyone) that is a "legacy" one. So if Duncan is a member, what do you wanna bet his dad was. Were the Tritons just a red herring, we'd think they were dangerous and then it turns out, not so much? Or will they turn out to have something to do with Daddy Kane and maybe Veronica's mom back in the day. The Echolls family is just . . . dude, that is one messed up family! Logan with his "I'll die happy" and daddy saying "Keep smarting off and I'll arrange it"!! Logan blames Veronica and himself and Lily. And "what's so great about living"?! Then the whole threatening mom if she tries to divorce him and Logan says he'll kill dad. And mom. Wow. I was worried about maybe dad Echoll was trying to gaslight her, but with the pills and car, it looks pretty much like she did something. Although - her "I can not take this anymore" sounded more mad and "that's it I'm filing for divorce" rather than "I'm gonna kill myself".Hmmmmm. Lola I felt that way, too. And jumping off a bridge - just doesn't seem her style. Pills, yes. Messing up the hair - no.

I think her whole life was dependent on her husband. . I think she truly felt she'd have nothing at all if she divorced him. Logan didn't matter much to either of them apparently.

I felt so sorry for him when he tried to protect his mother that way and then she just walked off and left him. He is definitely barely an afterthought in their family drama. Or was... and wow...I wonder how much Meg Ryan charged to loan that actress her lips? ...which sounds really shallow when she just killed herself, but I was just staring at them... *snort* They seemed smaller than the last time she was on. Lighter lipstick, I think. I can't believe she's dead.

Yep. And, you tell me Karen, mother of sons---my kid wouldn't be caught dead dressing up in a robe and chanting garbage in unison---he and his friends would laugh that kind of society out of the school, no matter how "prestigious" the members. You think so? Maybe your son, but there's a long history of secret societies - Masons, Elks, all the fraternities and sororities - they may not have robes, but they have secrets and mottos and ....um...societies.... shutting up now..

But some fraternities and so on do stuff just as goofy. And I could see kids thinking this was a head start on that college world. Add in the whole "dad did it and so my older brother" and I bet you'd have kids doing it even while they thought it was stupid. Especially if it got them something. Plus, since it's secret, they'd figure no one would find out about the dumb robes and stuff. Lola

I think I missed that this week...he has a sister? I know I missed the reason Logan blamed Veronica - I have to rewatch to catch everything - this episode was fulll. Very full. We go from an ep with lots of subtexty stuff that might be a metaphor for Lily's murder or the stuff going on at Neptune high to one where we get so many possible leads and plot points that I'm like . . . wow. Definitely have to re-watch this one.

A sister? Shoot. I must've missed that part. How did we find that out? Veronica in that trunk, too. Was it the Tritons who put her there? I know they left the keys and all, but that was just wrong. I think it had to be them. I thought I saw robes. And I was not really happy with Veronica bugging the office. I mean, she (and we) got some information that may prove very important and it did lead her right to the Titons, but still. It made me feel ooky on her behalf. Listening in on private counseling sessions is very different than planting a camera to watch a money drop spot. Lola

I felt that way, too. And jumping off a bridge - just doesn't seem her style. Pills, yes. Messing up the hair - no. I know. ;D But I can't decide if she just took off and is hiding, or if it'll turn out daddy Echolls was gaslighting her. Or something completely other than that. I could see her all messed up on pills and having an accident, but jumping? Just seems . . . off, somehow.

That does seem very true. And the way he threatened her if she did try to divorce him could have made her feel like there was badness if she stayed, badness if she left, no place to go, etc. Yeah. Logan seems to be pretty much the last thing on their minds. Even when he's sitting right there. Lola
