Did anyone see Angel last night? I've got one word for Cordy.
BUSTED!

Seriously, loved last night's episode almost (but not quite) as much as Buffy the night before. I like how the show (despite the network problems) are dovetailing.
I'd seriously love to see Angel and Spike meet up and discuss the problems of being a vampire with a soul.
Hey you fanfic writers, how about some dialogue for these two?

We can all dream, can't we? I've long ago realized that Buffy and Xander will be reality only in the world of fanfic. Heck, I'M writing a Spike-Buffy fanfic.
I appreciate your post so much. It's good to know that there are others who at least see how important he has been to her....and what an enormous loss it would be to Buffy if her Xander-shaped friend wasn't there.
I just want Xander to step up to the plate for her one last time.

I'm with you. I don't know what is wrong with so many people these days. I used to post to the btvs newsgroup, and stopped doing that (except to vote on the episodes) months ago. Yesterday I went to just vote on the episode and it was like visiting hell - snarling and ugliness and trolls...I threw my '5' in and got out before I was fired on. Then I unsubscribed, sadly. I went to the episode board here at ScoopME yesterday and posted some, then had to leave. I am so THANKFUL for our group.

Regarding Angel and his guilt. I have just finished watching season 1 of Angel and it seemed to me that the reason that Angel was so excited by the prospect of shanshuing (sp?) was because it meant that he would eventually die and his guilt would end. As it curerently stands any vampire with a soul is doomed to spend eternity feeling guilt over their actions pre-soul. However, I could have, misinterpreted Angel's response. Any thoughts?

Vlad, do you think something odd is going on with Giles? He seems to have reverted to season 1 stuffiness and forgotten that Buffy's instincts are usually right. Maybe he's been back in England too long? I just am confused by the way he has acted since he brought the first potential to Buffy's house. He's acting as if he's 70 years old now...fussy and fretting and impatient. Not the Giles I remember.

Hunter's review has a link to Soulful Spike Society #14 next to it, by Hot Topics! Interestingly enough, when I followed it, I had to log in (which I haven't done since-- last time...some months ago). Had to look up the login and password in an e-mail Kim sent me to remind me what it was. I now have it in my password list.
Thought Hunter's review kind of so-so. We do better here.

Concerning Post #70 on the ep board...
We can all be content knowing we don't have to live with his mind in our heads. The guy is beneath us.

Thanks for answering again here, because I stopped reading #13 when #14 appeared... Guess I'd better go back. I hate to miss any goodies.
Motion to dismiss. Got it!

Chill Lee....and don't be so hard on yourself. Picture yourself in the middle of a big S'cubie hug, ok? Kinda like when Xander slid down the rope into the Initiative and was greeted by Buffy and Willow...
I myself am not acting 'normally' either. I put that in quotes cause I'm not sure my usual state qualifies, but lately I've had trouble keeping my usual routine. The house is a mess, workouts are tough, I need a haircut...I snapped at my best friend... I'm thinking its 'end of Buffy, start of war'. These are two HUGE life changes for all present on this board, and they affect everything else.
Maybe that helps explain the Ep board....naahhh.

I know this has been said numerous times today by various people but I just want to say again how thankful I am for this board. Reading the posts on the Episodes board (yes, I know I said I was through with it but it's a like a car wreck...you can't look away) all I can say is - OUCH!!! Not naming names, but some of the posts have a definite "mean" vibe to them. And one thing I just loved (heavy sarcasm) was how we were judged, because we took Spike's side (if you can call it that) and stuck to it, as being judgmental and not accepting of others' opinions. Like people over there were not doing the exact same thing when they were bashing Spike?!?! Whatever.
Oh, and here's some GREAT news (at least for me anyway).... I have completed the Motion to Dismiss. I know this doesn't sound like a lot to y'all but I have really, really, really been struggling with it for the last week and a half or so. Usually, work stuff doesn't faze me but for some reason this m/d was kicking my ass! Oh well, now it's done! Here comes the tough part though - the inevitable hearing and waiting for the judge's ruling.

Thanks Patti...(imaging self in big group S'cubie hug)... I needed that!
I think you're right about the "end of Buffy/start of war" blahs - I've been in a funk and not really sure why. Normally, I'm an optimistic, energetic, happy-go-lucky gal but not lately. Things are grating on my nerves very easily, work isn't coming to me as naturally as it used to, etc.
Things are starting to look up though -I finally finished that m/d! And the heavens rejoice!!
Well, work is over (thank God) and I'm headed for home.
I hope everyone has a great night!

I checked on what you said and it seems Alex inserted the wrong link into the IMG SRC command. *sighs* There is no way of fixing this at this point unless she cajoles an offical editor type person from ScoopMe into fixing or allowing her some sort of access to her old post. I think it would be worth the effort Alex, if you would try. Over the last couple weeks we have been gaining new S'cubies to the fold and with the controversy over this last "spikecentric episode" I figured we might get a few new recruits.
Nan, perhaps you can help as you seem to have a posting relationship with one of the editors of the site.
I haven't read any further posts beyond the techno glitch one that i am replying to here, so perhaps this has already been discussed.
Oh, and Sue, thanks for catching the mistake (and for referring people to our little growing endeavor). I saw in the Eps area that you said you weren't "officially" a S3 (I hate SSS, sounds Nazi-like) member. Let's clear that up right now!. As a somewhat charter member, I vote you in. Anyone else wanna second or disagree?
