Obviously I know why Veronica got the better conract, it's her show! So why the others? I can only guess that Keith got his because a lot of the plots run around him as well. Did Logan have the same kinda contract in season 1 because I could of swore he missed an episode or two. It pains me to think we'll see less Wallace because of new characters who need to be developed. I know new characters keep the show exciting but I like Wallace. **nods a lot** I wish there didn't have to be these kind of considerations and we could get more of all the characters.

Unfortunately, even if you could pay all of them to appear in all the episodes it still wouldn't work because there just isn't enough TIME to include quality plot/interaction for everyone in such a large cast. A small part of my brain says, well drop the stupid extraneous people (not a big fan of Dick and Beaver, myself) but really the show would totally evolve into a soap if you only had V, K, L, D, W, W interacting in each episode. The extras add so much: from the "regular" extras to the bit-part extras. Buffy eventually had the same problem. Early eps were about Buffy with support from Giles, Willow and Xander. Occassional appearances from Angel, Cordelia and Joyce. As time went on A and C had bigger roles and Oz, Jenny, Spike and Dru were added. Even later Tara replaced Oz; Anya replaced Cordelia and Dawn was also added. By the later seasons it was impossible to have full-blown storylines for: Buffy, Spike, Buffy and Spike, Willow, Willow and Tara, Xander, Xander and Anya, Giles, (Giles and nobody cause there wasn't time or room), Dawn, the big bads plus the necessary recurring extra characters needed to flesh out and interact with the core characters. (AKA Andrew and the potentials. Yes I know we could have done with far less of them, but given the final storyline it was really necessary to give some screen time the potentials.) Back to Veronica. That's where spin-offs sometimes occur (not that I'm suggesting such a thing)--when you have such a large and strong core AND a strong line-up of secondary characters as well.

No - he didn't have a 22 episode contract in season 1 - it was increased this year. He wasn't in 3 or 4 episodes in the first season. Betty and Veronica for one and I can't remember the others. (probably because I never watch them.)

Betty and Veronica for one and I can't remember the others. (probably because I never watch them.) huh? She's an unapologetic Logan fan and prefers to watch episodes he's actually in than those he is not. He also wasn't in Like a Virgin or Drinking the Kool-Aid either.

I get it. Glad his contract was improved because I do like him, always makes me laugh. Just dont like the fact I might not see as much Wallace

Oh, yes, much agreement on the limitations that time imposes. But somehow I think if money and contracting weren't also a factor that we'd be able to get a bit more story logic continuity. For example, have very brief mentions or passing appearances by some characters so you'd get the understanding that their storylines are progressing even as we concentrate on the main story of the ep. Or something like that.

Homecoming is upon us...much like the plague. Hee!
Aw, she nominates Wallace.
Logan's snark is getting too forced (not pointing out a writing flaw, I'm thinking it's more due to the character trying too hard)
Hey, It's That Girl! Who was in Bring It On among other things, right?
Again with the unicorns. OK.
Oooh, Alicia dresses down Keith on his parenting! Harsh.
Nathan Woods story is a little fishy.
Logan and Duncan making amends
The Exterminator. groan.
It's a bug that's a bug! Hee!! Lamb so totally deserves that.
There's a public access show that everyone at Neptune High watches but Veronica's never heard of it?
So now we know that the bus crash was definitely not an accident or driver error.
Lilly?
And Jackie proves that she is Veronica's match.
Wow, broadcasting the Lamb-Cook conversation? That's low.
It's your world; I just live in it. Veronica's had this coming for a while.
You really can't make up your mind, can you? Just pick one of them! How many guys here do you expect to want only you? Again.
"I can't lose another friend. And Veronica still doesn't get it.
It's all about the past coming back to haunt you.
