I already bought a digital camera and a microtape recorder just for this convention! If I get the dinner tickets, the recorder (very small) gets slipped into my purse, mic side up... I'm going to try to record the Q&As for both James and Andy also, so that I can use them to transcribe my convention report for you guys. The camera has a pretty good zoom on it...but my seat is L3 - that's what - 12 rows back? So unless I do get the dinner tickets, my pictures will likely be either far away-ish or waist up at the autograph tables. I'll do the best I can of course, as your humble reporter.

We haven't gotten seating assignments. I know concert seating is according to ticket level and when tickets were purchased. Those are reserved seats but I guess I won't know where mine is til I pick up my convention package on the first morning. But it occurred to me that my friend Traci and I sent in our ticket orders seperately so we won't be sitting together at the concert which is a real bummer. As for the Q&As I know that again, preferred seating reserved for the Gold Package holders followed by Silver (me) followed by general admission. But I don't know if those seats will be individually reserved or first come/first serve by section.

Patti - I couldn't ACTUALLY ask about his underwear either. Like you, I love to talk big here on the board, but I would crumble to the floor in red-faced embarrassment if I even just THOUGHT that question. I am a total pre-wicca Willow also.
So Patti? Please, please, please remember: Whatever you do, do NOT think of underwear when you meet James. Under NO circumstances should you wonder if he is wearing any, and if so, what they look like. Do NOT wonder what color they are, or about the full, inside story. And for God's sake, don't look!!
I hope that takes the pressure off. :-)

//I probably won't be posting much this week considering this is going to be the WEEK FROM HELL for me at work!! Pray that I make it through - and no, I'm not kidding.//
You have my deepest, most heartfelt and absolutely sympathetic sympathy -- since I can probably imagine what you're going through! Just keep telling yourself two things: (1) you've done this before; and (2) this too shall pass. As much as you're dreading the end of the week, I can assure you -- in two weeks you'll find yourself looking back and saying "Hey, it's already been a week since all that was over, AND I SURVIVED!"
Good luck!
Laura ;-)

Thanks Laura! I really appreciate the sympathy. Sometimes only other lawyers can truly understand how mind-numbingly boring a deposition or writing a brief can be. I mean, you can tell people but they don't really understand until they sit in on one or write one. I have two depositions tomorrow and the second will last probably until about midnight (damn experts!). THEN I have a hearing Wednesday morning on that motion to dismiss I was working on a while ago and let me tell you, the hearing will be a doozy! It's not looking good for our side and the judge is a major ass so I'm not too thrilled. He's the "old South" type of man - he treats women lawyers like we're just "playing" at being a lawyer and that we don't know what we're doing. Granted, sometimes I don't know what I'm doing but, hey, everyone feels like that! It's very, very frustrating being in his court - I worked hard to become a lawyer, just like the men. I HATE when other lawyers treat me differently just because I am a woman. ARGH!!! OK, on my soapbox, sorry about that! And don't even get me started on what Thursday and Friday will be like!
I happened to be able to take a break from hell for a few minutes and instead of grabbing anything to eat (since I haven't had lunch yet) I thought I would check out the board - figured that would soothe me more than any bag of chips ever could. (although sometimes it's amazing what a bag of Hot Chips can cure!) And I was right! I feel much better now. Alright, going back to prepping our expert for his deposition tomorrow. Wish me luck and I'm serious, pray that I make it through the week.
If I can just get to Saturday, if I can just get to Saturday....

Hi Sue. The half hour time difference occurs because Adelaide wants to be the same time as the Eastern States (i.e. Sydney and Melbourne), but can't quite bring themselves to go the whole hour (we should be an hour behind the Eastern states).
The weather in Adelaide is between 15 and 40 degrees Celsius (sorry I can't convert: I don't have the formula). Christmas in Australia is supposed to be hot, about 35 degrees, but Murphy's law usually has rain (especially in Melbourne).
Buffy appears on Tuesday nights at 10.30pm. It used to appear on Monday nights at 10.30, so it took me ages to 'get' the whole "Dawn's in trouble again. Must be Tuesday." Unfortunately we are ages behind the US in terms of which episode appears. We are up to episode 10 (I can't think of the name), but luckily we get the episodes consecutively (i.e. no repeats or gaps of any description, except occasionally for the tennis). Needless to say I am a huge Spoiler Whore and I usually get to read the Wildfeed summary late Monday night or early Tuesday night. Tuesday is the best day of the week.
So now you know everything you wanted to know about Australia and whole heap that you probably didn't.

::Also meeting up with me/us there will be a S3 lurker, one Kathy Groth, who found out I was going from reviewing our old postings and Emailed me a week or so ago. She sounds very interesting and really nice. She's early 40s, in the nursing profession, is a fencer and participates in medival reinactments.::
Hoping Kathy will begin posting. I'm an active Renaissance Faire participant and also costumer as well as a rabid Spikeophile. Plenty of schmoozing possibilities there.

Hey, speaking of things in common with Kathy (other than the obvious), I'd mentioned to her that I wasn't sure about staying over in her hotel room because I didn't want to leave my parrot alone for two days. Well it turns out she has 3 of her own!
I hope she posts with us after the new episode. She asked me if she should post under the Episode board. I told her that we will be having our own lively discussions right here probably starting just after the show is over on the West Coast. But by all means she she should be sure to read the new review once it's posted on the Ep Board Wed morning and the discussion there that will rapidly ensue. I said that there are many intellegent and friendly people posting over at the Ep board and she will undoubtedly recognize some S'cubie names among them as some of us post there as well. But I warned her that there are a few high profile posters there who are no friend of Spike's and some of us, (including me after last time) don't post there anymore becuase of unpleasant encounters.

Slow posting night...
Anyway, so a lurker and our own Diane are Renaisance Fair participants. I think that's great cuase I am interested in them and want to learn more. Heck, I even put Renaisance Fair Organizer as the job I would want besides my current one in my S'Cubie profile, but besides the basic premise, I know nothing about them. Could you tell me everything you think I should I know about them, at your earliest convience, of course. Thanks.

(Rob Sorenson's Truths:)
It's over folks. Rob finished his tale. And...nothing for me to say but...WOW!.
Seriously Rob. Excellent job. A perfect ending. Every single S'cubie will read this and go...WOW!.
I won't say more now. I don't want to give anythign away. I am sure that discussion will run rampant over the ending to Truths.
You can find Rob's most excellent story only (for the time being, before some big ol' publisher takes him away from us and makes him yank his story down to slow potential royalty loss ...etc.) on the S'cubie Website in the Fanfictional! area.
Vlad, TA, tp
ps.
Oh, as special recognition for finishing your wonderful tale in such short order, coming in under budget and on the deadline, I am going to give you your very own personal area on the website, Rob, with a little stylized link to "Truth and Truths." You have more than earned your S'cubie stripes. I will let you know when they are posted.

Folks who have submitted essays, profiles, and whatnot, expect to see them posted tomorrow (Tuesday). It's been a lousy day; personal stuff has overwhelmed (my most cherished other works for an accountant and that was only a portion of my day *L*). I took the time to make sure that Rob's story got posted because he promised to have it in on time and got it here. Therefore, I couldn't possibly look myself in the face if I hadn't got it up for him. He truly has done a wonderful job on it.
As for the rest of you, I apologize. But...don't feel slighted 'cause Spring's latest analysis is also waiting.
Goodnight, see ya'll tomorrow! I hope the coming Buffy is a good one!

(Chapter 23...The Conclusion!)
Vlad was right! Wow! I am a reasonably fast reader, but this one of the few times my interest easily outstripped my skill. It was just rivetting. You have given me so much to think about. Thank you for taking the time to write such a great story.
