We're now less than 700 posts from catching up with the ep board, with over a month to do it in. No question but we're gonna break their record.

//Although, not sorry enough so that I didn't still wish he'd died tonight.''
Hee, hee...is it serial killerish of me that I find GREAT humor in that line? I don't care because that line has me rollin' on the floor, laughing hysterically. And I'm serious. I literally fell off the couch, I was laughing so hard.

I posted this back in the last part, but I'll redo it here just for the sake of continuity.
I feel the same way about the real life situation as I do about the fictional one. Everyone is right and everyone is wrong.
As far as the UN goes, I think Kennedy should be France. :-)
As far as your comment about Buffy's eviction, I was trying to see the bright side. A lot of the wonderful S'cubies here want to see Buffy and Spike with quality alone time, and this performs that function.
Outside of that, there was nothing logical about a minor throwing out the legal owner of the home. That was just silly. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in my opinion.
It moved an otherwise riveting plot along, and that was the point. Because of that, I don't have too big a problem with it. In the grand scheme of things it's pretty minor.

Posted originally in Part 21 but I want EVERYONE to read it so I'm posting it EVERYWHERE!!! :-)
First off, I want to apologize to the S'cubies for posting this here - I know it's not "Buffy" but it's easier to post it here than on the "Angel" board. The people I want to discuss it with are on this board. So, again, I'm sorry!
I hate Connor – in fact, I pretty much hate him with every ounce of my being but tonight is really the first time I felt sorry for him. He just wanted to be loved and the person he thought could be the one person to love him, he had to kill. When he was talking to Cordy in the church, my heart was breaking for him. His comments about his life being built on lies but Jasmine being the best one was absolutely heart-breaking. I actually started crying during his speech to Cordy’s body. His statement about just wanting to rest made me sit up and go, “Huh? Am I watching ‘Buffy’?” I immediately thought about Spike’s speech to Buffy in “Beneath You” when he states “Can we rest now Buffy?” Connor’s anger toward his life was both justified and so child-like. I caught glimpses of the boy in Connor tonight, the boy who just wants to be loved. Add this to him killing Jasmine and WOW! my respect for Connor just shot up several points.
The little creature/keeper that was talking with Angel while he was fighting mentioned that Angel has lost Connor and that he had already lost the woman. What woman was he referring to? Cordy or Buffy? My B/A ‘shippin’ heart would love for that statement to be referring to Buffy but I fear that it was referring to Cordy. God, I am so sick of C/A – the pair NEVER should have been linked romantically AT ALL!! They had a great brother/sister relationship but the writers sure screwed the pooch on that one!
Angel’s response of “Doesn’t matter” when he was told that Connor would never love him was very moving. Just two words but very powerful two words. I only wish Connor knew that Angel is trying to do what he thinks is in the best interest of his son. Sometimes I want to smack Connor upside the head and tell him what a punk he is but not tonight. Tonight I actually felt for Connor.
Oh, and Lilah coming back? WHOA!!! Soon as she appeared on screen I stated singing Elton John’s “The Bitch is Back”. Although, I have to admit, I’m such a spoiler whore for “Angel” (and David’s right there with me), I knew what was coming but it still had an impact on me.
Dude, don’t mess with Jasmine – she is one tough chick!! Jasmine’s comment about Angel’s role in the apocalypse, that now he knows what role he played. Wonder if that’s true? Is Angel never to shanshu?
Overall, I enjoyed this episode – can’t believe next week is the season (though hopefully not series) finale. It will be interesting to see what is in store next week. I mean, I already know (big spoiler whore, remember?) but it will interesting to see played out on screen.

Either Kennedy, or the 'Ding, Dong the Witch is Dead' chick on the couch. Either one, Rob.

These are by no means in any way a coherent text – consider them random musings, though I’ll start by saying Lee, with you 100% on: (1) Connor and his “wanting to rest” speech (in a church no less!) and (2) just which “woman” had Angel “already” lost? Especially given the high priest’s comment about the PTB? My betting is that he was referring to Buffy, not Cordy.
And speaking of the high priest, why did he have a humanoid form, and all the other critters are spider-like? And speaking of the critters – I know in the comments on last week’s AtS, somebody said that they were reminded of Gollum by them. The more I see the “spidermen,” the more they remind me of the critter in Spy Kids II that Juni befriends (and I saw it with my friend and her four-year old son last summer, that’s how I know) as a replacement for his mechanical spider. Though they remind me of something else niggling at the back of my brain, especially the clicking noises that they make – anybody else have a clue?
Is that the FE as Lilah, or something else?
The Word, the Name. “You can take away our power.” “It’s about power.” There's a lot more here, especially tying together BtVS, AtS and (what a surprise) the Bible. I haven't had enough time to try to figure it all out yet. Implications by Jasmine of Angel "shanshuing." There's more to put together here. I'll think some more, and post, maybe, tomorrow.

I agree with a goodly number of the things he said, but his conclusions are deeply depressing. I most certainly hope he's wrong.
I'm not sure why being totally alone bothers me so much...but I love Buffy far too much to want to see that.
If the show ends with Buffy dying alone, I'd be extremely disappointed. Buffy deserves to be happy. They all deserve to be happy.
Why is it so much to ask? Why is it such a silly concept to reward the fans for all their suffering by leaving us with a good taste in our mouth while we're crying in despair?
