In an interview somewhere, sometime back, JM was talking about his jeans, saying that they got so disreputable and threadbare that the cast and crew were complaining about seeing too much.
Actually, the jeans in Rae's pic on 22/135 look like he gave up on the bad ones, and has made a good start on wearing out a new pair.
I'm sure no female on this board would have made a peep if those old jeans had fallen off completely...

Thank you all for the welcome, I'll post when I can (four people, one computer), and RW is fine - the name comes from my other major fandom.

Anyhow, this dog doesn't like wearing a muzzle in a fight ....
rrufff! ok, no muzzles for you. But can you keep the collar?
Was thinking about Jasmine either before I went to sleep or after I woke up, can't remember, but I think she represents the AntiChrist, in this Revelation parallel story Joss has been telling on Angel. Especially since Connor killed her with that massive head injury...other parallels - she brought peace to the world, everyone was taken in, except for a few, she directed a temple built to herself...so, I kinda expect her to be back next week.

Anybody know when they are going to start with the reruns? I've still never seen any of seasons 2 or 3.

Thanks for noticing, Alexandra.
I have recently sent a filled out copie of the form to Vlad, at scubiefan@yahoo.com, But I am sure he is very busy and will get around to it when he can.
I meant to send it sooner, but it took me a while to find answers to some of the questions. I've never thought about words I dont like. [grin]
I hope you enjoy it when it goes online!

Dave, you said 'And that's also one of the reasons why I'm not really taking a stance but asking questions -- if this is this, then how come that is that? Why isn't that also this? If anyone thinks I'm going for the "Spike was evil" stance, fact is, I really don't believe that. But I also don't believe anyone can point to Jasmine's actions and say she was evil (and ignore any possible motives, just look at the actions) while looking at Spike's actions and saying he was not.'
David, one thought I've been having is that actions are evil, not people. So maybe I've been saying it wrong when I said Jasmine was evil. I should have said the things she did were evil. Hate the sin, love the sinner kind of thing? What Spike tried to do was evil. What Jasmine did was evil.
But if you never cease to do evil, if you never recognize an authority outside yourself, then you become that evil. You are ultimately responsible. It's my opinion that Spike later realized he had done evil, was shocked both that he had done it and that it BOTHERED him that he had done it, so he went and got the soul (repentance).
Jasmine remained unrepentant. She never saw her actions as evil. She never recognized an ultimate truth. She had no moral compass. I guess you are believing the things she told Angel before she tried to kill him by throwing a car at him, but I'm believing they were just the words of someone trying to torment him even more by saying what he had done was useless and stupid.
And I know I'm not giving good debate - Jasmine just didn't seem that multidimensional to me...

Going way back, there was a discussion about needing a bigger stake. I saw all of the references to the Jaws quote, "You're going to need a bigger boat."
Did anyone comment on "Looks like you're going to need a bigger stake, Slayer." being said by Kakistos in Faith, Hope & Trick (episode 3-3)?
Speaking of uncomfortable confrontations with Buffy in front of a large crowd in her own living room "Dead Man's Party" was also on FX yesterday. Shades of last week's episode. I didn't like that one either when I first saw it--seriously uncomfortable confrontation--and never really resolved either, just buried along with 4 more years of issues.
(New spinoff idea: Holden the vamp hosts a self-help show ala Dr. Phil and has as guests any and all characters of the Jossverse (big, small, good, bad), Of course the big names only come on during sweeps months. It would be a hoot!)

Vlad, I am very interested in learning, and yes, it would have been so much better if I could have just loaded the pictures to my own site and then linked to that. So, I will email you next week, when Godspell is over and I've finished Part 2 of the convention report and my plate is much cleaner! THank you!

Just my worthless 2 cents, I think we've seen Joss pay homage to the greats of sci-fi/comics/movies/literature, so I think the references are simply to pay homage to one of the best sci-fi shows of all times, and what many believe is the best episode of the series (although I personally would put The Masks, The Howling Man, The Midnight Sun, Time Enough at Last or Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up as the best)

These two events are SO not the same thing. Jasmine's actions prove her evil through calculated behavior. Spike's actions prove him doing an evil thing through mental anguish and the temporary inability to make rational choices
Sigh....thanks Diane, again, our cloneness shows...

hello all!! guess what came in the mail this week?!? well, I'll tell ya. . .. an Audio book [8 CD's!!] which is narrated by none other than James Marsters!!!! **and** the book is really quite good too! here is the Link to the page which references the book, **AND** has **AUDIO CLIPS** so you can hear his "Caramel toned" narration.!! www.mediafans.com/buffy.htm and for those of you who *care* about what the story may be about . . . it's kind of like Harry Potter once he is all grown up and has to find a job in the real world - a Who Dunnit Mystery in a world that mixes the working blues of a private detective cum wizard-for-hire and some mysterious crimes which have a supernatural flavour. blurb from site: ?My name is Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden. Conjure by it at your own risk. I?m a wizard. I work out of an office in midtown Chicago. As far as I know, I?m the only openly practicing professional wizard in the country. You can find me in the yellow pages, under ?Wizards?. Believe it or not, I?m the only one there. My ad looks like this: HARRY DRESDEN--WIZARD Lost Items Found. Paranormal Investigations. Consulting. Advice. Reasonable Rates. No Love Potions, Endless Purses, Parties or Other Entertainment But for those of you who dont care about the story, GO check out the audio clips . . .They are delicious. = > [evil grin] -Shannon Edited By Shannon Hill at 5/2/2003 2:29:00 PM.

I think the reruns start sometime this fall. I would bet in September - that's when the new TV season begins (and without "Buffy" - gasp! sob!) and oftentimes, new syndication kicks up then as well.
I can't wait to see season 2 and 3 - I've read all the transcripts but haven't actually seen season 2 and most of season 3.

Too bad I couldn't have gone with you last weekend. We could have double-teamed JM, hogtied him and dragged him back to Texas...
...Or maybe not...
...Two of us might have been too much for the dear boy...

Don't forget in our discussion of classic childrens' literature "The Silver Chair" and the kind of feast for which Eustace and Jill were really intended: man pie!
