I'm working on my two sections - Part 10 and Part 11. I haven't forgotten but it will be a little while until I have it all done. It's going piecemeal right now as the semester and financial year ends at my campus. But I'll get there!

Gail said: said that? I have no memory of writing it, and never have used the verb 'internalize' before. Think it must be someone else's post, or I'm getting senile way ahead of schedule. I probably just read the name wrong. I'm trying to post and archive and stay awake and that's 2 more things than I can usually do at the same time. Sorry!

Before I take the dogs out one more time (poor things are getting used to my keeping vampire's hours), thought I'd deliver my opinion on the penultimate BUFFY episode: One of the best that I've seen this season. Finally, finally, finally, Buffy is acting like Buffy again, albeit an older and wiser Buffy. Thanx to Spike and the discovery of the scythe, Buffy's eyes have hope again. I was getting SO tired of watching this girl acting more like a zombie than a Slayer. Now she has regained her role as a Slayer, AND her humanity. THINGS I LIKED: 1. Buffy is now in charge and not as desperate and strident about it as she has been most of the season. 2. Sending Xander and Dawn away was a good move on her part - in terms of Slayer strategy (to send two of the weakest players out of danger) and pure human feeling (she loves Dawn and doesn't want to be in the position of having to choose the world over her sister's safety; and she trusts Xander to watch over the kid; she also doesn't want Xander hurt any more). But Dawn is more sneaky and resourceful than she used to be, and turned the tables. 3. Neat moments and major emotional chemistry between Andrew and Anya. Of course, after such a lovely scene, I'm more sure than ever that Anya will not survive the finale...Especially since little Andy has been moaning about his impending demise all season; he will doubtless live to be 90. 4. Giles had that little talk with Willow about her having to use more magic. I bet we'll see some major magic mojo from Willow next week. 5. Absolutely wonderful scene of Buffy and Faith talking and really, really bonding. They have both grown up so well, and grown stronger. 6. Kennedy actually didn't get on my nerves; her gung-ho pushy attitude was actually appropriate for keeping the panicked and wounded remnants of the troops together and in fighting mode as the Ubervamps tried to snack on them. Then, thankfully, Kennedy was relegated to the background. 7. Interesting introduction of the Guardian. Too bad it wasn't done awhile ago; she was a neat character and should have had more screen time. Nice to know that there were some sensible women with a backup plan for when the male Watchers messed up/got mostly killed. 8. And of course, SPIKE & BUFFY admit, if not true love, then the marriage of true minds...two minds, whatever (mixing up my literary refs). I only hope Spike will get to kick some major butt in cool fight scenes next week and get to kiss Buffy too. I cannot WAIT to see Angel's reaction to souled-Spike as Buffy's confidant/soldier/lover.... Gail

//I still feel kicked in the stomach though by Buffy's joy at seeing Angel.//
I didn't see it so much as joy, but more of surprise. I may be in the minority here, but when they kissed I just didn't feel it. For me it could be that I didn't start paying attention to Buffy til half way thru the first season of Angel. When Angel was first being announce, I thought interesting (I'm fascinated with stories on Vampires) and I thought the lead guy was hot (lol). So I watched Angel from the beginning, while at the same time bugging my girlfriend for backstory on Angel and Buffy so I could get my head around the story. Then I started watching Buffy on FX when they started with Season 1. I started watching Buffy full time at Season 5. So maybe I didn't feel it because I'd never seen them together originally and had already seen Angel separate from Buffy. Now I remember my first love and while he will always hold a special place in my heart, we will never be together. I was 15 and he was 18. So I think that Buffy can be perfectly happy with someone else that is not called Angel.

Dave said: //Betsy and I, along with James, are presenting a military presence on the board now, Vlad. Add to that the war going on on BtVS, and everyone is getting into the military spirit. Now drop and give me 20, soldier....//
*to which Vlad demonstrates his own profound agility with gratuitous hand gestures, expertly demonstrating the "two fingered Spike salute"* Should i do that nine more times then, Dave? *G*

//Also Spike's line, "I've done things with you I can't SPELL."//
Now this may be way off topic, but I just laughed at that line when he said it, well not exactly laughed, but was thinking there are some things I love to do with Spike that I can't spell (lol)l.

//Betsy said: 'Also, how did that old woman go out and get food? I mean she must have been there for centuries. Where would she get money for tasty treats? I don't think she has a job or anything.'//
I was wonding the same thing then a thought popped into my head that maybe Jasmine send The Guardian her leftovers (lol).

//I liked that Angel realized Buffy wanted to and COULD do it herself and stepped back with no problem. I was glad he didn't go with the protective, paternal approach of the past.//
Another laugh by me was when Angel stepped to watch after knowing Buffy had to do this on her own. There he stands, arms crossed saying "You're going to so lose" I actually laughed out loud.

I accidently typed in Triangles7.htm instead of Triangles8.htm when I was typing the html for the Chronicles page. I was looking at the line above (containing part 7) and naturally just typed what I saw *L* I have been known to type dialogue from the tv when working on a original piece of fiction too. I positively cannot listen to music while trying to write either poetry or prose. On the other hand, I hate to draw while in silence..*jsut shrugs* Anyway, sorry about the goofup and I am glad that someone mentioned a way to get around it temporarily. It's all fixed now. //Frankly, it's amazing W&H didn't have the scythe in their vault somewhere. //
From past episodes you would think. THey seem to have everything else in there. That's one reason I'm so excited about next season of Angel. One thing I'm not exactly sure of, what will be Lorne's roll there. They pretty much fleshed out the other departments for Fred and Wes. Still confused about Gunn too.

//That was a taser, and according to some of the spoilers I read, she apparently TEASED him with it. That's not exactly my definition of being teased. //
I read the same thing in the wildfeed. I'm totally spoiled til the end (was the same way with Angel). But as far as being "teased", I can think of much better ways than giving someone an electrical charge (lol)

Here are some from tonite's episode. Anyone have anymore? Faith: Thank God we're hot chicks with super powers. Buffy: Kinda takes the edge off.
Angel: God I miss watching this
Angel: You are sooo gonna lose!
Andrew: You are the perfect woman! Anya: I've always thought so!
Buffy/The First: Faith go boom!
Buffy: Also you went evil and started killing people. Faith: Good point, also a factor.
Kennedy: Are there more? Buffy: There's always more.
Anya: I could use a cookie.
Buffy: You can't pick up a bow and arrow and every time you pick up a sword I worry you're going to break one of my lamps.
Xander: If you die, I'll just bring you back to life. It's what I do.
Caleb: I'm sorry, I didn't catch that on account o' her neck snappin'. Did she say the end is near, or it's Here?
Faith: Here's the laugh riot. My whole life I've been a loner. Buffy: Is that the funny part?
Buffy: Oh God, you and Wood--in my--- Faith: Don't tell me you two were---- Buffy: No! We're just really good friends. Or mortal enemies, depending on the day of the week....Is THAT the funny part?
Buffy: You're a dope. Spike: I'm a what??
Anya: (on humans) I guess I just realized how screwed up they really are. They are really, really, morally screwed up! Andrew: You love humans! Anya: I do not!! Andrew: You looooove them! Anya: Stop it! And if you tell anyone, I'll kill you.
Dawn: What happened? Xander: I thought you might ask that. Dawn: I'm sorry, I meant to ask, what the HELL happened??
