Lee, I thought I noticed something funny, too, about Buffy and TFE. It seemed to me that when Buffy had a good grip on the scythe, she was able to hear TFE but not actually see her. She was looking around as if to say, "Where is that voice coming from?" Maybe part of the power of the scythe is to uncloak TFE when it's wishing to be hidden. I can't think offhand of any other time a person to whom TFE wasn't directly manifesting showed any reaction other than to the person who seemed to be talking to themselves. Can anyone else?

This seemed to be worth bringing up as having been posted in the waning minutes of part 27. ********************************************* You may remember that about a month ago, I sent an admiring letter to peasant, the originating author of the Original Evil Family Angelus/Darla/Dru/Spike historical fiction I think so highly of. I included a copy of Vampire Sex, the essay, as an attachment.
She has sent a very cordial post back saying that she'd independenly become intrigued with much the same topic and found in my essay food for thought.
She expressed an interest in linking to our site, and I told her we'd be honored and gave her our URL. I told her how we'd have a posting board there by the end of June, and that she was most welcome to visit us if she'd like to, once it was up and running.
Just thought you might be interested in knowing.

Alright, whoever compiled that list was heavily biased toward the Angel moments! And don't get me wrong, they were good (I'm not saying it's got to be all about Spike, all the time), but I think the closing moments of "Intervention" would have ranked there somewhere! Athene V

Lee - yes the article is well written and does capture the greatness of BtVS in as far as it goes.
Love your additional great moments.
Sigh. What a great show. I like Angel but it just doesn't do it for me the way BtVS does. I love the whole female hero concept and how they have dealt with it.
Oh! I am going to miss it so much. Spring Summers

Becky, I agree with you - It seemed like Buffy could hear TFE because she was holding the scythe. I think maybe TFE knew it - the "go boom" taunt was directed at Buffy (at least that's how I remember it). Sorry, groggy this morning...
That would make sense given that the scythe was forged to fight The First - revealing The First to the wielder would be an essential part of its power.

They're NUTS!!!
They left out SO-o-o-o-o much! Like so many non-Buffy sources, they seem to be mostly (not entirely, since OMWF and Hush are mentioned) stuck in Seasons 1-3. But REALLY! No Spike at all? Diane U

Haha... I just amused myself for 5 minutes repeating "Ewww Angel lips, lips of Angel" over and over in my head. My co-workers officially think I've gone off the deep end (ok, so they've had me swimming there for some time... but, at least, the straight jacket is comfortable and I look decent in white). My bosses will be happy to see Buffy end because I might actually start getting some work done on Wednesdays instead of betting on how many times I can hit "refresh" in one minute and get new posts. Is including yourself in the subject line like referring to yourself in the third person? It was completely out of habit, I swear!
Just for the record... I actually wouldn't mind some Angel lips (though I'd prefer some Spike lips).

I'm with you lot - The writer was obviously Angel-biased.
I mean, really, Spike has had enough great moments to fill an entire book, starting with his grand entrance with Dru, way back when...
They missed one of my picks for great moments - FX is running Earshot right now - the way that episode dealt with loneliness and teenage feelings of isolation still floors me. We were probably all in that place at some time in high school. And Xander trying not to think about sex was priceless; I do so love Xander (like a brother, of course). And "you had sex with Giles? Twice???".
Well, I'm babbling, better go do something useful.
Let the weirdness in, Anne D
