Whoo-hoo! This is like the second time I've been the first poster. Do I get a reward, a cookie or something?
I think I should, that's all I'm saying.

Posted this in Part 27 but I wanted to post it again because: A) I'm vain and like to see my name; B) I'm vain and I want people to respond; C) I'm vain and I think everyone should have the opportunity to read this post! ;-)
Why, oh why, is there only ONE more episode left?!?!
Question: did Buffy see TFE with Caleb in the beginning. Upon first view, I thought she didn’t, that she was just confused Caleb was talking to no one there. However, upon second viewing, it almost seemed as if she did see TFE - after TFE said something about “Faith go boom!” Buffy took off. I could be completely wrong and I might need to watch it again.
Seeing the bomb wreckage, my immediate thought was “Yippee! Kennedy’s dead!” and I broke out into a rendition to Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus”. Sadly, I spoke too soon for who soon pops up her good-for-nothing, should-have-been-dead-10-episodes-ago head? That’s right! Vlad’s girlfriend Kennedy. Oh, and look, she’s being bossy. Who’s shocked by this turn of events? Anyone, anyone? Sorry, Vlad, I know you love her so, but c’mon - chick needs to be iced.
All kidding aside, someone did need to take control of the SiTs so they could fight the Ubervamps but why Kennedy? :-)
Loved Willow’s “scythe matters” joke. OK, joke wasn’t that funny but I loved the little smile and look Buffy and Willow exchanged. It’s those tender little moments between the Scooby Gang that I miss the most and am desperately craving!
Buffy telling Xander how important he is - first thought was of Rob. THIS IS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE!! This is what I miss and this is what I want to see. Hell, the freakin’ SERIES FINALE is next week - this moment between Buffy and Xander is what I long to see, not injured SiTs laying around.
Willow has got to get over her fear of using magicks - though from the preview for next week, it appears she does. I understand her concerns and reluctance but SUCK IT UP! Their lives, heck the WORLD’S lives, might depend on it.
Whee-hee! A mention of Miss Kitty Fantastico. Though Dawn, the genius of cross-bows, appears to have harmed the aforementioned Miss Kitty Fantastico.
OK, want to hear how smart I am? When Xander first drugged Dawn, I immediately thought, “Damn! Xander’s evil?!?” Then I remembered Buffy’s plea to him and I put 2 and 2 together. Yep, that’s me, the smart one.
When Caleb is angry does he break TWO barrels of wine instead of the one?
Buffy’s and Faith’s conversation - very enlightening. I am so glad the issue of the Slayer being alone and how Buffy both fits that and rejects that was addressed. “Thank God we’re hot chicks with superpowers.” “Takes the edge off” “Comforting” - priceless!
Buffy and Spike in the kitchen - what can I say but WOW!!! Their tender interaction almost made me renounce my B/A ‘shipper status (but then I saw Angel at the end and my heart went pitter-pat). Buffy was so going to tell Spike she loved him. If she doesn’t tell him next week, I am finding Mr. Whedon and we’re going to have a nice l-o-n-g talk. Can I go on record and say I completely and utterly ADORE JM? That man has more charisma than just about anyone I’ve ever seen on screen. Buffy loves Spike, Buffy loves Spike....
How did Buffy know where to go to find out information about the scythe? Oh, yeah..probably one of those off-camera conversations they have ALL THE TIME!
Here’s an idea (just pure speculation on my part): the old woman told Buffy she already had “weapons” and Faith and Buffy talked about Slayerhood as a burden one can’t share. Here comes some speculation: taking this, and what appears to be Willow performing a spell, what if somehow each Potential becomes a Slayer? Buffy’s and Faith’s Slayerness is somehow shared among all the Potentials and that is how they defeat TFE? Just a thought and someone might have already discussed this.
More later.

Good morning. I went to bed last night on page 18 and came in this morning to see page 25. To which I said, well, 7 pages, not too bad. Then, I suddenly thought, oh shoot, I'll be they've moved to part 28 as well... So glad to see there weren't 7 more pages. I'm going to read them all before I post again, BUT, just in case someone hasn't referred you yet, please be sure to go to: (unless you haven't seen "End of Days.) www.btvs-tabularasa.net/episodes/season7/tarabula/7-21tara.htmlThis is Tiramisu's review at Tabula Rasa. You will love it! (Lee, swallow your coffee first). Be sure to watch the icon as well. Happy morning! Sue

I know, I know...
But she did her best last night, really she did! Give the girl some credit - After the blast, Kennedy got the rescue operation going, and she kept the baby slayers from panicking, and tried to defend them from those nasty-vampires-whose-names-I-forget (I keep wanting to say Uruk-Hai).
At the least, I think she gets points for keeping them alive and organized until Buffy got there. And then, the writers had the smarts to put her in the background where she belonged, and concentrate on our core group.
Anyhoo, I think there's some hope for her.

Sue,
Thanks for the heads-up! You're right- I would have spit my drink everywhere if I had been drinking when I saw that! Priceless, just priceless. That has made my morning!
Now, I don't agree with that assessment but I can definitely understand why people are upset.
Too, too funny...

While I was composing a very long post on l'affaire Ellie, you guys moved on. It's a bit of a rant, and the best thing may be to ignore it/me in this case, since me pontificating on things isn't usually the prettiest of sights, which has never prevented me from doing it and probably never will. I have many faults but low self-esteem (as opposed to proper modesty/humility) isn't one of them.
So I won't copy it up to this part. If you want to see it, it's back there in part 27, near the end.
Yours in forever S'cubie friendship,
Nan

On MSN they are doing Buffy's Top 10 moments. I don't agree with all of them and I think the order is a little out of whack but it's still a good read and a wonderful reminder about why I love this show so freakin' much. Here's the link: entertainment.msn.com/news/article.aspx?news=122061Enjoy! -L :-)

I'll let you guys know if I hear from her, that is, if she wants me to say anything.

Lee - top ten Buffy moments and NOT A ONE OF THEM involves Spike? And what . . . 4 of them involve Angel?
It was a good article but that kind of ruined it for me. Way too "early season" top heavy for me. It would work for top ten moments of Season 1 - 4 (maybe, except lose an Angel moment and add a Xander "Zeppo" moment).

Since not everyone reads the ep board posts, I wanted to share my response to the review here as well. (Now I'll go back and read the posts--got ep board pages too.) --------------------- I can't post on the ep itself until I find time to read all the current posts. It may be a while. But I had to respond to Hunter's review. He said: //Every moment of beautiful joy extracted from clever, intelligent, hysterical, awesome, captivating writing wrecks me as it lifts me up.// Do they give Emmys for review writing? He also said: // It’s because we love them. We will lose them, and we will mourn them, ... and everyone of us will clutch the empty spaces where our hearts used to be, and we will feel silly for mourning something so seemingly trivial and small as it were actually family. // Of course, he goes on to say it's not trivial, but this struck such a chord in me. More than 35 years ago I cried, sobbed, as I read "The Last Battle", the 7th book in the C.S. Lewis Narnia series. 30 years ago I cried, sobbed ,as I completed the Tolkien trilogy. Every few years I reread these acknowledged literary classics and repeat the grieving process. People may think "Buffy's not Tolkien, not Lewis, it's a TV show." That's like saying "Lord of the Rings" is just a book. Just because Buffy is in a different format from these two classics doesn't make it any less a classic. Joss and company (writers, actors and crew) have created a wonderland, a universe which we have had the privilege to observe and visit; characters so real that we feel they are family. The evidence is out there. Millions of fans, devoted beyond measure (dare I say, disciples) know it's worth. So, I'm crying now, and expect I will every time I revisit the Buffyverse via DVD rather than written page. It's not the format which confers greatness on a work of art (books, music, painting, sculpture). It's the content, the execution and the response of the audience. Buffy measures up on every scale. Hence why I said I don't agree with all of them.
It seemed more like a B/A 'shipper Top 10. I think all the picks were great moments but I don't think all of them deserved to be in the Top 10.
I'm just wondering if this person saw any of Season 7? Umm, hello? "Beneath You" - if that church scene with Spike doesn't tear your gut everytime, something must be wrong with you. "CWDP" was another great episode that had mesmerizing moments - Willow crying out to Tara broke my heart. Last night's kitchen scene with Buffy and Spike ranks right up there!
While some may not agree and think it is not in good taste, I might put the AR scene in "Seeing Red" - it was such an incredibly powerful scene and was a turning point in the Spuffy relationship.
The entire episode "Fool For Love" -'nuff said.
It was a very Top 10 of Seasons 1-4 and I do wish they had more Spike scenes. It did, however, remind me of why I fell in love with the show in the first place and why it has continued to hold such a thrall over me.
