//In the end, it was not about Angel, not about Spike, not about the demons, and not about being alone. It fulfilled Joss' original intent: It was about female empowerment. It was about choosing to both share and wield that power. Joss' other main message: the hardest thing to do in this world is to live in it: but you don't have to do it alone. Choose: choose to embrace the power, choose to share the power, choose to share the pain of living with others.// Yes oh yes, Sue P. Buffy choose to SHARE her power. It was such a feminie and feminist take of female empowerment and it helps me accept BtVS as a feminist show. The jury had always been a little bit out for me on that question. It's funny because I didn't cry last night. I thought I would but I didn't. It was too much (and too little) and it was definitely way too fast. But I watched again this morning and BOY did I cry. And it wasn't the parts I thought I would cry at at all. It wasn't about Spike or Xander or Buffy or Willow or Giles or even Anya... It was about Vi becoming the powerful woman she didn't even know she could be. It was about the little baseball player knowing she could knock that ball out of the park (and you just knew all the boys on the other team had moved really far in-field) and it was about the lost potential (pun intended) of Amanda. It was Chao-An kicking serious ass. IT was about the girl stopping the arm blow of her attacker. I was crying for these girls I didn't know because "they" suddenly became me. And my journey to womanhood and knowing that I can DO this, this living thing. I mourn Anya. I await the return of Spike. I rejoice that Dawn is still with us. But I can't wait to see what Vi will do in the future. "Wake-up! This is nothing! Thins is nothing!" Michelle Belle

Ack! Part two is only half done! (Actually large parts of part three have been written for months.) If I hadn't had to throw out 70 pages or so of part two... if only, if only... *g* Mary

What is Botox's eye was referring to the imbalance set in motion by two slayers - at the end of season one. And that what the first was doing was preparing to open the Hellmouth and let the demons into this dimension... But what if, by opening the Hellmouth early, the Scoobies turned the scales again, creating another imbalance, only this time on the side of Evil. This is why they had to open the seal before Willow empowered them. This is why they could all be slayers and not disrupt the balance. They needed to be slayers in order to reassert the balance. And they also changed the rules. I mean, why was there one girl per million vampires? Perhaps now the odds are evener (aka more even).

// Does anyone know what Rhona was referring to when they were in the Hellmouth and she said something about what Xander had said in the bathroom? answer's appreciated... // Michelle... up in the hallway as they were filing down to the basement, Xander pointed out the bathroom and suggested they take a moment to go. (He also quipped, "even if you don't think you do, you're going to have to in a few" or something like that... Sorry, I don't have my tape handy here or I'd give you the exact line.) Rae Hanson

I would like Harmony as a one time thing... And this wasn't hinted at by anybody, but I would REALLY like Drusilla to come back. She hasn't been with Angel and Spike together since Season two buffy... and then they were both evil and fighting over her... I think Angel and Spike both souled would throw her for a loop. I wonder if Spike shanshued if she would try to turn him again...

Yeah, earlier Xander said something to them about going to the bathroom if they needed to - I can't remember the details, but he gave them a last chance to go to the bathroom before the big battle, much like your dad might do before you start on a road trip. Spring Summers

Also, Harmony is kind of an interesting character to me. Like Spike, she defies the norm in Vampiredom by having retained a strong ability to love and a lot of her humanity. I don't know if you've ever read any of my analyses over on the website, but my Harsh Light of Day analysis has more about Harmony, if you are interested. Maybe a love for herself. I didn't like her human and I hated her as a vamp. Found her insipid, whiny and just an all around pain in the ass. I wouldn't mind seeing how Harmony & Spike would interact now (I'm assuming that vamp or human, Spike is keeping his soul). I feel Spike couldn't tolerated her at all and I totally didn't not like the pairing at all.

Anne, I saw Chao An twice. Once was when Buffy sliced a Ubervamp in half with the axe-thing - she was in the background doing this crazy diving jump into another vamp and then after that when all the girls are REALLY kicking as she has a kick-ass momeent. She is wearing a blue zip-up sweater. Michelle Belle

I dunno, if Joss & Co. can make me like Andrew enough for me to want him to continue on they could probably make me love harmony too.

Michelle said "I dunno, if Joss & Co. can make me like Andrew enough for me to want him to continue on they could probably make me love harmony too. " Okay then can bring Andrew over. That would add some estrogen to the show.
