This is really cool. Not practical where you have mountains of snow, but for the months when streets are clear, etc. it's pretty neat. It looks like it's a lot easier to use then a Segway! And the fact that it folds up and can be carried is a huge plus as well.

This weekend I found Bram Stoker's Dracula was available for free on demand, so I watched it, and forgot how good the movie actually is. It's got a lot of not so good parts to it, but I loved the moodiness Francis Ford Coppola evoked with the camera work, lighting, costumes, set design, etc. And Gary Oldman just rocked. He can deliver a line like no one else. I ended up putting it on again the next day and sort of half watched it while doing other things, it was that good.

So far, for us, the bummer is that the baby doesn't know from Daylight Savings Time. So she wanted to go to bed at 8:45 and get up at 7:00. The second isn't bad, but the first...not of the good. We compromised, and I put her to bed around 8:15. Tonight, I'm moving her bedtime back to the usual 7:45, DST be damned. The time change sucks. They say to adjust sleep times gradually is l . To celebrate Spring - I have new shoes! In purple. But at a great deal - locally. $14.00 inc tax. Couldn't say no to them. Those are cute, they look like they want to dance the tango. I wish I could wear heels. I'm thinking of saving up for these or maybe these for my next pair of sneakers. It'll be a while, they're both pretty pricey. At least Reeboks are consistent in size and last a good while. I have sorted collage stuff until my brain (and back) will sort no more, so I stuffed it all back into my little room until later. Besides, it's almost time for Kitty to come home, so I have to clear off the kitchen table again. PS In re gradual adjustment to time change: It's very hard to reset cat tummy clocks, but I'm working on it. They don't understand why they can't go out at 6:30 in the morning; after all, it was light at 6:30AM last week.

My 10 am meeting for tomorrow just canceled. I am soooooooo relieved, since I had set aside yesterday and today to figure what we were meeting about and stuff.
But then both days I got totally dragged into more church luncheon and women's retreat details. And, since I actually enjoy the minutiae of handouts and food orders and rooming assignments and schedules and name tags WAY more than planning what the next step in house renovation is .... well, let's just say I aided and abetted the diversions.
So I was just sitting down, thinking I needed to go through all my house stuff and figure out why I was even meeting with Maggie when she called to say she has pneumonia.
Sorry for her but totally relieved. So much so that I put our meeting off until after Easter!

Oooo, excellently style-full. Julia, wearing logging boots at the moment, for take that for what its worth. Thank you! The round toes are a plus, comfort-wise. I suspect your logging boots were helpful in checking on the new calf. Yay! Need hiking boots, myself.

To reward myself for doing the raw food diet (and to give myself something to look forward to with each salad), I splurged and bought a bottle of the scrumptious olive oil that Rich and Jan introduced me to. I am going to have the most kick ass and delicious salad dressing ever. \o/ Yum!! And great idea!

Those are really cool. I love the design. They are a bit retro. But the color is why I really bought them, and totally unneeded in a necessary way.

We have achieved 1/2 of the dog enclosure, minus a hole in a low place which must be stabilized.
Also I am beat down to a fine pink paste.
Julia, ow.

Of course, the only problem with that picture (the braces: check, dorky glasses: check) was that my hair was TOTALLY STRAIGHT.

My favorite bad-guy actor. Fifth Element, Dracula, Airforce One, Lost in Space, and especially Leon. *shudders*

I could look the part, but walking in them takes all the coordination I can muster. Love the tennis shoes. Both colors rock! You definitely should plan to purchase them .... and real soon! Ah. .. House. "Whiter Shade of Pale".. Perfect.
