Husband and I drove to Santa Monica, met Bestest Buddy. He went to a movie, Daria and I went to a bead store, another bead store, and the wooey store in Venice, where I bought myself a nice ring with a big oval labradorite set in sterling. Also several neighbors were having yard sales this morning in the drizzle, so I bought two framed fruit crate labels and two framed Hokusai prints, all slightly damp, for a buck apiece from the nice neighbors next door. but fairly content this afternoon. Much huggage for tireds. Much joyage for contents. I had a date this afternoon. Was SOOOO sick of being in house that agreed to meet online correspondent. Nice guy. VERY big guy. Like 6'4" both ways guy. Most overwelming. Had Mexican for lunch. Took walk in park. Got kissed (??!) there was also hair petting. Also a proposition. Most insistent proposition. Wasn't expecting THAT. There was even a little, little bit of sparkage. And much panic. Very grateful that post-op self couldn't stay out longer with the tireds setting in. I need a rule book for dating in the 21st Century. Don't let him pressure you, and don't "settle." I am glad there was some sparkage. Much luck with the dating.

Sold treadmill and computer desk! Had to offer entertainment center on Freecycle. I've got some offers on it now, just need to get someone to show up and get it! Fingers crossed that "someone" isn't an axe murderer. Things are finally happening! Yes!

Ouch.
First MOnnie's team, and now Spring's. Who will be #1 in college FB next week? Oregon, maybe.
So after winning a game 52-3 (or 6?) today VU lost 43-0. Also OUCH.
Jim watching the Phillies.

Funny how the titmice get along just fine but the chickadees immediately start to scrap.

For some reason, your post reminded me of this week's "Sign of the Apocalypse" in Sport Illustrated: New Mexico State's campus was littered last week with flyers urging female students to refrain from having sex with members of the football team—who had been outscored 184-47 en route to an 0-4 start—until the Aggies earned their first win.
On Saturday [October 9] they beat New Mexico 16-14.

Happy Sunday Morning, S'cubies! We are having a beautiful weekend here. It was "Homecoming" for the University yesterday, and it was a good day with parade, successful home game, etc. The best news is the everyone survived the new roundabout, which is located right by the football stadium. Such dire predictions were made by those local folks who are known for their "always half empty" philosophy, about the roundabout. But in fact, it has been great, and MONNIE & LOLA: Now that I drive a roundabout every day, I have gotten good at it! Yes, fear not, should you ever be in my li'l Pumpkin again.

Ah, no worries; I love my Buckeyes rain or shine, and no ouchies here. The Buckeyes are having a good year, the Badgers are always formidable opponents, and The Big Ten looks really great. Who wants perfect? It's much more fun when you've got real competition. THE BEST NEWS: My dream of a post-season Bama-OSU game is still alive! If MSU stays perfect in the Big Ten, they will go to the Rose Bowl (assuming they don't go to the NC). If OSU and Bama keep good records, say . . . 1 loss or 2 . . . maybe they will get invited to one of the other BCS bowls together? And Monnie and I can still go to the game, where I can still console her by buying her a consolation Appletini after the game.

Today is the day we do all/almost all of the shopping for the next week; usually we can split it between Sunday and Monday, but tomorrow is the great medical festival and will involve the entire family and tie up the car all day (Anna can't drive the truck; nobody but Sam and Franklin can start the truck).
I managed sleep last night, which was very nice.
Julia, also it didn't get below freezing last night, which was nicer.
