Q: What extras do the Buffy DVDs have on them? I lent them 2 weeks ago to a friend from church who has really bad MS (not that there is any "good" MS but she got it at a young age and it progressed rapidly so that about all she has control of his her head/neck.
Apparently Buffy is available on streaming Netflix and I'm guessing she can do that herself via her computer rather than ask her care-giver to deal with the DVDs. So she was curious as to whether the DVDs had extras vs just using Netflix. The extras - purely from memory, contain: ---Interviews with the cast and crew (Joss, writers, etc.). Sometimes the interviews have a theme, like . . . "what was it like to . . ." --Short features about things like the make-up, the fashion, the set, the music, the making of a particular ep. --Still, behind-the-scenes photos --Outtakes (not a lot of those, and not very interesting ones) --The commentary that you can run with the ep. The commentary ranges from very interesting/informative and amusing, to a total waste of time. So, whether or not she would be "missing anything" depends totally on how much of a fan she is. BtVS is probably the only show I've ever watched where it "would make a difference" to me, and I really liked having access to this "behind the scenes" stuff. ?? Who is "him?" Who, or if not . . . then who? (But really, who are you referring to?) The only one who fits that description is Tony Head; James Marsters was only in Torchwood. Julia, it'd be fun to see what Amy makes of Captain John, though.

Anna is helping her boy move today; he's leaving one of those gorgeous-but-not-close-to-anything places north of TESC and moving closer to his work, and, well, her (he works about four bus stops west of us)
See next post.

Thurston County, for your consideration. The fjords and peninsulas at the northern boundaries, in order: Totten Inlet, Steamboat Island Peninusla, Eld Inlet, Cooper Point, Budd Inlet, North Olympia/Fishtrap, Henderson Inlet, Johnson Point, Nisqually Reach. The eastern border is the Nisqually River, the Western and Southern ones are strictly surveyors lines; there.s that weird el in the northern end of the western boundary which is mostly cultural: pioneers living there thought they lived in Thurston County before the boundaries were set. MPO is Municipal Planning something or other that the Feds use; I call it MPA (area) which is how it's designated in state law. We live just south of where 510 meets I-5, close to the hard to see blue dot which is Long Lake; Bailey is moving from the north end of Cooper Point to somewhere in one of the subdivisions on Long Lake, last I heard; he works at about the "y" in Lacey. Evergreen isn't marked on the map; it's about where the line from MPO is pointing. Julia, killing time on a lazy rainiy chilly Sunday.

Well. Paul and I went out to breakfast, then drove to Ralphs. He walked home, I shopped largely and bulkily. We are now in the process of rearranging the den to make room for the new narrow Billy bookcase, which will go where the Tower O' Rubberstamps lives now. Which means I need to (a) cull the collection and (b) find space for what's left after the purge. Some teachers, somewhere, are going to be very happy, I hope. Anne, with sneezes

Bad pain day for Franklin (not so hot for me, either, so I suspect part of it is the raw weather) so it's good we've got the groceries to make it through today/tomorrow morning.
Julia, must do some more bulbs today, somehow.

uuuuuhhhh... so tired and sore... The rubberstamp collection has been cut down considerably, the remains are restacked into a new tower (I really should see about reinforcing the drawer-pile before the next Big One), and the culls are packed into the plastic drawers I'm discarding. There are even more going away than I kept. That's good, right? Now all I have to do is find a home for them. I should also organize the keepers properly, but that can wait. I put the ones I use most in front where I can see them, anyway. I called my mom. She says she'll call the CU first thing tomorrow morning. she doesn't wimp out on me, although I think I made an impression when I told her about lying awake worrying over her finances. We shall see. I'm going to take some painkillers and go fall over.

Hey ho, all! Very fun weekend, with our first real snow of the season, (not just tiny flakelets and so on), even if the rather largeness of the snow meant I ended up not getting to my concert Saturday night. (The friend I was going with lost her power for most of the day and then, just when it - and therefore her heat - came back, the plows went by and covered up the bottom of her drive, just a half-an-hour before it was time to leave. We took this as a sign that the evening was not to be! ) Since I own no car to dig out and someone else shovels my sidewalk, I was able to just thoroughly enjoy the snow fun! Walks in the snowy fluff! Snow-people all over! Sledding! Woo hoo!! Saturday's snow was sooooooo wet (it hasn't technically been below freezing, just in the low 30's) and came down sooooo thick and fast! Here's a pic of my front yard yesterday (and keep in mind, there was not a hint of snow there the day before - heck, it was in the high 60's just a few days before). Now, just for fun, some snow-people! Here's a smallish one that my next-door neighbor made . . . Here's a sweet couple that I passed on my walk 'round the neighborhood today (notice how much has melted since the day before): And here's an absolutely adorable teeny tiny one that I also passed on my walk today: Ain't they all just too cute? ;D

LOGO. Julia, there are promos for "A Girl and Five Gays" which make it look like a fun show, what can I say? A Girl and Five Gays can be a very fun show. Not necessarily all that deep or anything, at least not often, but fun.

Good Sunday morning, S'cubies! It's a gloomy, gray day in Ohio. Have lots of indoor stuff to do, so I guess that is what I will concentrate on. The week looks like it's gonna be pretty much this way, which is not good, because I have to get raking done - well, what will be, will be. Hope you get good raking weather, even if it is a bit gloomy.

Interesting! I feel somewhat of a connection with him, being a person who has always enjoyed spending time alone (and also with people, but I need my alone time!) and yet I don't think I can say that I have ever really felt lonely.
