Blech...I spoketh too soon. We got snow and icy, blowing wind. Lake effect snow from Lake Michigan. The snow has stopped here but Chicago is getting dumped on .... and if you turn on the Bears game you can see just how awful it is. Got to love a football game in the snow, tho. Tom is at Midway. We told him not to drive and made him a flight reservation. Turns out both earlier flights were canceled and so is the one after his. Right now he is delayed 90 minutes but the explanation being giving is that the de-icing trucks in NASHVILLE are broken (runway?) so the problem is here -- where it has been snowing off and on all day for a total of maybe 2 inches -- but once that freezes on the roads tonight it will be a mess! Ack! That is too bad. The wind keeps swirling around the lake. I can't imagine that Chicago isn't the problem, especially from what I'm seeing on the TV at Soldier Field, which is near Midway.

The last one is amazing! I loved your 'face-off' description. I could hear the Hugo Montenegro song playing in the background.

Saw your pics on the Scubie Photo thread - as they sing in White Christmas: snow, snow, snow, snow, snow! Brainshare! Lucas and I watched White Christmas last night. He really got into the dance numbers - got quite good at mimicing the steps and twirling me around - even tried to lift me like he saw on screen.

We have officially been inundated with snow. Poor Zak can't find a place to do his business and it's too deep for him to forage around on the grass. *sigh* Snow looks pretty but it's really a big dog's game.

Yeah, a little dog can sink and be only a bit of fluff sticking up thru all that wet white stuff! **snuggles Zak**

If enough snow is involved, even the large dogs have a hard time of it—I've watched Kaylee pace back and forth for several minutes just so she'll have a place to squat without freezing her booty off.

So, the worst of all worlds: spent all day today at the airport, still has a probably ugly drive tomorrow and misses all the things planned at work for the day. Oh, well, there are worse problems to have.

Managed to book another flight and headed to the airport by 6 am. Apparently he is in the air, arriving in Nashville at 9:25.
