Hey there - posting from my new iPad and also from Oregon. Emily has gone Sleepless on us, and I have a major migraine. However, I also have interesting data from my first student, and my first mini grant was funded. How's things? Go you and the new iPad! Sorry about the sleeplessness and the migraine, though. Poor tyke, she needs her sleep and so does mommy.

Or the full moon. Love the little snowmen in the Cuties box. Had a nice dinner with the middle son and my sister and her husband in the new little bar in town called C230. It's a tapas bar, and everyone thinks you are saying 'topless'. Very modern for my little backwater town. C230 I'm sorry, did you say something? That . . . avatar is so distracting. ;D Seriously, sounds like a nice evening.

*Unwraps pretty, shiny new Part.* *puts new part on head* *decides it looks better in the Thrall Room* *leaves Part on floor* *toddles off to play in the Three Year Old Corner* *pygmy giraffes find Part* *nibbling ensues* ;D You crack me up, Diane. Thanks for the diverting visual. *hugs Onjel amid ragged remains of pretty new Part*

Christmas Eve Eve and someone moved Andrew's present (which I must wrap, and can barely lift).
Also of course I must figure out some way to level the watering trough, or something.
Julia, the trouble with the festive season is that non-festive stuff just keeps happening.

Hey, Erin? Is "scouring the you toobes for every interview an actor has ever done" a known phase in the de novo development of a fandom? Because that is apparently where H5O is this morning. (More stuff in comments, in a surfeit of evidence for the hypothesis that Alex O'Loughlin is a doofus). Julia, wishing that there were more readable new fics in any of my fandoms but instead overwhelmed with weirdness.

The more things change...
The New Supe bought pizza for the office--and alerted everyone 15 minutes after I left for my regularly scheduled lunch hour.
Nice.

So easy to just "order another plat or two for the group". ;D So, what did you get? And how was it? Oh, it was so easy to overeat. I had beer to start, of course. Horny Goat - Nutcracker Very tasty. We had chicken skewers, fries and dip as one tapa. Scallops with spinich and red peppers. Um....chicken wings and fries. The servings are pretty hefty, but I hear ya - it's easy to order a variety and go overboard. We had hummus and pita and my sister got mushrooms. Probably forgetting something, but we try new ones each time we go in. They were sooooo busy! The girl who opened it is giving her mom's restaurant some competition.

Ooooh, how do you like the iPad? My sis is thinking of getting one soon. Oh, and to baby and hubby and you and all. ;D Thinks are snowy here, but warmer. So far, it's lovely. It needs a case and screen protector, so the Munchkin can be allowed to touch it (it's making her NUTS that I won't let her play, too). It does almost everything my laptop can do, except easy word processing. Very cool! One of my friend's kid's employer gave them all an iPad for Christmas. I can imagine Emily will be an expert at it soon!
