Following are URLs for two Spike/Faith sites. Warning: This 'ship's fanfic tends to be steamy, as witness DutchBuffy's He's the Light in my Fridge series. There are lots of Spike/Faith sites, but many don't have much/any fanfic. These sites have beacoup de fanfic. cityofhellville.com/main.phpwww.warmchampagne.com/Enjoy with a tall glass of ice water. sssss hot!

Not a recommendation, more a request. I can burn CDs on my computer, and would like to put some fics on disk. Unfortunately, I'm not very techno-savvy and couldn't figure out how to do so. Any assistance greatly appreciated.

I don't know what youall do with fics after you've printed them out, but I file them, and, when I have ~100-175 pages, I take them to Staples/Kinkos (whichever I have time to get to), and have them bound. I make my own covers and ToC pages, also.
It still costs less than buying a paperback, and I have fic that is portable. It also saves me spending hours in front of the computer to read a story/novel.

I like this idea (especially not having to fry my eyeballs in front of a computer). Mostly I'm worried about clutter. I'm one of three packrats living in the same house. Trust me, it ain't pretty.

Well, I often copy and paste the text into a document (like a Word document)- so I can change margins or text size or color or whatever to make it read easier or to print in a less paper intensive way. Now I don't know much (anything) about burning CDs, but maybe you could copy the text into some form of word processing file and then burn that to a CD? I'm at least the only packrat living here - but there is a cat, so perhaps I'd better watch the "rat" tendencies. Lola

I'm with Lola: I copy the fic into Word, reformat it so it's easy on the eyes (a little extra space after each paragraph in something that's dense, maybe change fonts, for instance), then save it and later copy it onto a CD. I use regular EDIT-PASTE rather than the "EDIT, Paste Special, unformatted text" command because the latter strips out all the italics and other specialized formatting. I'd rather change all the soft returns to hard returns (one of the results of not using "Paste Special, unformatted text" command is that the block paragraphing and line breaks of HTML format are retained) than lose the italics or bolds or underlines originally in the text.
But I'm long used to reformatting mss., and I like the convention of hard return/tab rather than the block paragraphs of HTML. It also saves on paper, if you print it, since it's more compact. However, nobody else has to play with the format to the extent I do unless they want to. You can do the original Select All, Copy, Save, and Paste Special from the hosting site into Word and not worry about the italics or the extra line spacing that goes with block paragraphs.
The CD has to be formatted (like a floppy, only for a CD) before anything is put onto it. Software for formatting the CD should be on your computer, LadyDi. Once it's formatted for text files (as opposed to music, or movies, or whatever--you'll have to select, in the formatting process), you can copy the fic from your hard drive to the CD about as you would onto a floppy. It's amazing how much one of those CDs holds!

For those who read/write fanfic: Dannyboy at hellmouthcentral.com, has created a timeline to help put chronology into the Jossverse. Here's the link - and - it's HUGE, so be forewarned, if you are planning to save it! www.hellmouthcentral.com/myth.html

What's the difference between using copy/paste and copy/paste special? deborah Paste special eliminates all special formatting, like italics and bolds. Only hard returns are left. Sometimes, italics matter!#nosmileys#nosmileys

Bloody Soul by Kallysten is complete. (And she's planning sequels). If you've never read her and enjoy B/S go for it, now! If you've read her I will say this one is not NC-17, is not overly sweet or overly drawn out. Spike is accidentally souled at the end of season 2 when Willow is trying to resoul Angel. It's 26 chapters so after the end of season 2 it's pretty much one chapter per episode for season 3 and matches up very well, but with Spike in the mix as well. At one point there's a description of what might bring Spike perfect happiness. It's perfect. For any B/S shippers it's a great read. www.kallysten.net

Syl, a fine Canadian writer of my acquaintance, has just finished "Keystone Vampires," a hysterical Three Stooges (i.e., slapstick) take on Spike, Buffy, Angel, and a magic mirror. I recommend it to all who need cheering up. members.shaw.ca/sylviavolk/Keystone.htm

Nan
Thanks for the heads up! on Sylvia Volk; I not only printed out the fic you recommended, but the other BtVS stories she has. I know I'll get to them sometime after the next 8 weeks of projects.
Here's the link for LJC's archive (that's Tara O'Shea)
Her library is at:http://ljconstantine.com/fanfic/
She writes for Angel, Firefly, X-Files, etc. She has one "buffy" story, and Buffy is barely in it. It's all about Spike: Glorious - and a glorious tale it is.
Enjoy!

Hi, Everyone. I'm baaack, and this time I have recommendations for Cordelia & Spike and Cordelia/Spike fanfic. The C/S, in particular, indicates what could have been had the Jossverse taken a different path with Charisma and James' talents. At Least Obeisance, by WesleysGirl. AtS season 1. funny and scary. Lovely, Dark, and Deep, by hold_that_thought. BtVS season 5; AtS season 2. Cordy helps Spike recuperate from Buffy's death. Reclamation, by Jennifer-Oksana. AtS season 5, BtVS post-Chosen. Cordelia wakes up from her coma; Spike has been humaned; they discover they have quite a lot in common. at Misty Flores' site, www.stoic-simplicity.net/imperfect/fiction/buffy/index.html. Her series of 4 Cordelia/Spike stories: Adventures in Babysitting In the Name of Science Playing the Part Severing All Ties Bitchy and Bloody is another Cordelia/Spike site, and it has two funny fics, Spanked and its sequel. There are other fics there. The URL is: www.angelfire.com/punk3/cookiejar/cookie/bbx.htmlEmbarrassingly, I printed a wonderful fic whose site I lost!!! :- It was written by Leather Tuscadero (Fans of the Fonz will remember the original, not doubt!), called Illusions. If I ever find the site again, I will surely modify this post; I've checked the 1/2 dozen Angel-centered fic sites, and no go on this one..... Lastly, a site devoted to Spike/Cordelia, with a few Cordelia and Spike. I haven't checked out ALL the fics, but some are quite good. www.fireicearchive.com/cordeliaspike.htmEnjoy!
