Did anyone notice that yesterday would have been John Ritter's birthday?

Just a public service announcement. I just know that some of that stuff is being released so quietly that many of our S'cubies might never have known about it. That, and you did see the hint about my birthday, right....? I did see it. Of course, you'd have to offer to come spend your birthday in NY before I'd actually DO anything about it. (Especially since some of us don't engage in blatant birthday reminders! )
This is crazy. I'm going out to the garage. Be back in a few.

I have visions of getting up there by scooter (that would be the farthest trip I've ever taken by scooter) but will probably chicken out and take the bus. [/color]

I've missed you all! I just got a new chapter of my story off a couple of hours ago, so I'm indulging myself by stopping in. Gonna go read a few messages, see what you're all talking about.

There's a gathering next summer? Where? When? Details?
Nan, are you planning to go to the Writer's Con in Las Vegas?

It sounds as if you took to the story the same way I did. Yeah, the two sea creatures were a bit much. I think I found them a bit hokey, and too much of a departure from the standard BtVS formula. I know I enjoyed The Lost Slayer a lot better, and it's by the same author so the voices are just as acurate but the story struck me as much better. It is very dark and moody, though, very much like BtVS. Well, I have the Lost Slayer as well, and that is what I plan on reading next, so glad to hear the good review.

It's Summer I hate (no, not Spring Summers). Too hot. See, I've always been of the mindset that when it gets cold, I can always put on more clothes. There simply comes a point when it's too hot that you can no longer take off anymore clothes, even in the privacy of your own bedroom where the fear of being arrested in non-existent. quote] Completely agree, Dave. I've said the same thing many times. Air conditioning was invented for people like me. I crank it up (well, down) at night, turn my ceiling fan on high and cuddle under the down comforter. I love that. Hate when it's hot and muggy - and Wisconsin can get very muggy. My family calls cool days where a light jacket is perfect "Mary Weather". Wisconsin winters can be a real bitch, tho. It's always something! ;D

That, and you did see the hint about my birthday, right....? Couldn't miss that hint! But you'll need to repeat it much closer to the date, with some alternate suggestions or you may have to start your own sale of never-viewed Buffy DVDs on ebay! Which could be very profitable come to think of it.

Did anyone notice that yesterday would have been John Ritter's birthday? No, but I remember hearing he would have been 55.

and it's back...
John Ritter was never a favorite of mine. I didn't like Three's Company, and then there's that whole Ted thing. A shock tho - so young.
