Benry's daughter brings Locke a gun. Happy birthday, dad! Volcano? Oh, that was a long time ago . . . oopsie! Well, Ok, maybe no volcano, but we apparantly have island natives that we periodically have shoot outs with. Oh, and dead moms have a tendency to show up and peek in windows. But, hey, it's still a great Island to be a janitor on! Chill out, dude! OK. Kate tells Sawywer and Sayid that she told Jack and Juliette about Naomi. (Oy. Maybe they should just have a quick Plane Survivors stand up meeting for 10 minutes or so every morning and bring everyone up to speed on everything. ) Hmmmmmm. Jacob isn't a guy you "go see"; he's a guy who summons you. Well, howdy do!

I know I shouldn't be here for three more hours, but I had a thought - The Wizard of Oz turns out to be a fraud. Do you think there's another someone behind the curtain, and Ben is just the big scary face? I'll come back tomorrow. G'night, S'cubies. You clever clever you. That's what Locke thinks, and it may well turn out to be true. But then again, things do tend to get all plot twisty, so who knows. I'm wondering if Jacob is like, this looney old wreck basically being nursed or something. And Benry is covering for that. Or else, Jacob is Penolope's dad.

Awwwww. It's little Benry's Island girlfriend that gave him the voo doo dolly present. "Now we never have to be away from each other." Why do I think this relationship is doomed? *snerk* Generic Dharma beer. "Kinda hard to celebrate on the day you killed your mom"?! WTF!!!! Man, dads on this show suck. Who the hell would say that to a kid? So he runs to the fence and sees dead mommy. The island monster, maybe? Showing one of it's types of faces? A gift from the big magic box? "It's not time yet, Benjamin." Hmmmm. What's with the grey line on the way to Jacob's house? Ash? Sand? Magical herbs that are keeping Jacob there, or keeping people and things away from Jacob? The plane folk meet Naomi! Hi, Naomi! "The whole world thinks we're dead?" "That's not important now!" "Don't you people want to be rescued?" Ah, they play the tape, but (conveniently?) don't play the "I hate you" bit. Or else Benry erased that. Play the other side - so they hear about the plans to attack them and grab preggos. She told Jack (supposedly recently) and he "hadn't decide what to do yet". OK. That's gonna go well.

Anyone else wandering how the guy that Henry met at 10 years old looked the same age as he does now? I mean come on the long hair gets cut, but that was what at least 25 or 30 years ago, if Henry is between 35 - 45 years old.
So does that mean the "natives" dont age? or are they all dead? I am more confused now than I have ever been.
Damn this show. The problem is it was a good episode. BUT. I. DONT. NEED. MORE. QUESTIONS.
And oh by the way . WTF with the shooting of Locke. I really hope he is not dead. But then again just because your dead does not mean your off the show. He could live on the island and talk to Ben.
I have a serious Hate/Love relationship with this show right now. I want to love it. But I am wanting to hate it just as much!

Little Benry, running away to the jungle, because daddy is an asshole. Combo to the fence and a bunny to test it. Awwww. Kill him, bunny! Kill him! The whispery voices . . . and then . . . WTF? Richard? Looking like he does now? WTHWTF? So, is he one of the "hostiles"? The "natives"? Or not? And why hasn't he aged one bit, eh? Benry tells him about seeing dead mommy and he don't seem surprised. Benry tells him he hates it "there" and wants to come with him and he don't seem surprised. "You're going to have to be very patient." "We're here." OK that place is just plain creepy. Creepy creepy creepy. Don't go in there! "Once I open the door, there's no turning back. You sure this is what you want?" "So be it." Drama queen. Empty chair. That isn't empty to Benry. So, he's crazier than a jailhouse rat, then. Well, it makes sense. "Help me." Eeep! And the place goes looney - it's the island monster!! So, Jacob is the island monster? And who said "help me"? If it wasn't Benry, with a changed voice and in the midst of a psychotic break, then was it Jacob? Which means, what? Dude! This entire episode is one giant OMGWTFBBQISLANDMONSTER?! ep.

Brrr - excellent episode, but it gave me the creeps.
What happened to Little Ben's sweet little friend, the one who gave him the carven figures - did he have her killed too?
The casting of the child playing Little Ben was excellent - except for eye color, the kid reminded me very much of his older self, especially his expressions, the way he moved his eyes; and even the shape of his mouth was similar.
I never thought that Locke would betray the Losties; but it looks like he's thrown them away, or at least left them behind, to grow closer to the mysteries of the Island (for all the good it's done him now).
Could Locke have actually had a flash of precognition, himself saying "Help me" rather than mysterious "Jacob" saying it?
What were Benry's parents doing having Baby Ben in the middle of the woods, far from telephones/ambulances, etc.
So the original Dharma Initiative was conquered by the slavers/pirates' descendants via Traitor-Ben. How did he get to be the Big Cheese, and pull so many strings outside?

"What did Jacob say to you." Benry really wants to know this. Because . . . . maybe he really has been the "only one who can see him" literally. And he doesn't want someone else who can also see or hear him? Some of the things I said to you and the others were lies. Well, DUH!!!! Taking him someplace else . . . why do you keep following, John? Get the hell away from him! Grown up Benry, working with dad. Ah, this must be when daddy dies, 'cuz they're loading up the microminibus with the beer and stuff that Hurley and the gang found later. Some father and son time. "Do you really blame me?" "What do I know." Yeah. Real warm guy. Looking at his watch. "I don't think that's gonna happen." He's going to kill him? But it's coordinated somehow . . . this is when the "hostiles" attack, maybe? He's "put up" with dad, and that's taken patience. Ah, yes this does have to do with the "hostiles". Yup. He killed daddy. Just like he wanted Locke to do. So, he did want Locke to be like him? To see if he was "special" in the same way as Benry is? Oh my. The killed all the Dharma people - gassed 'em all. So, did they kill your childhood sweetheart too, Benry? I'll bet they did and you let them, didn't you. And here come the hostiles, which include the suspiciously same age looking Richard. Is that why Benry was so worried about Locke talking to Richard? Richard is also . . . "special"? Or are all these "native to the island" folks special in the same way. Don't age, so that's why they don't need kids and can't have them? 'Cuz they never die? Then, where did the clan of the teddy bear come from? Takes Locke to the creepy pit of dead Dharmas. Um, Locke. Why are you still here? Run, dude!! "This is where I am from. These are my people. (said with such distain!) The Dharma Initiative came here seeking harmony. They coudln't even co-exist with the island's original inhabitants (really? original? they don't look like original south seas island folk to me . . . ) When it became clear one side had to go, one side had to be purged, I was smart enough to make sure I didn't end up dead. Which makes me smarter than you, John." And, bango, he shoots him. (did he get John's gun? have his own all along?) Heh! Even in a creepy pit of dead bodies scene we get just a bit of funny. "What did Jacob say to you?" "Help me." Heee! Oh, you mean he said help me, not you saying help me. OK, I get it now! Which means that Benry didn't hear Jacob, and he's not happy about what that might mean - that Locke could take over from him. Or that he's just completely psychotic. Or both. Man!! I guess now we see if the Island makes Locke not die. Or lets him die only he keeps coming back. Or something entirely other.

Man, that is the island of the damned. Poor Locke. How the hell did Benry get his gun? It is so totally not an island I want to vacation on, that's for sure! Did he get Locke's gun or did he have his own? I wonder if Locke will die or not.

Currently, I'm going with not aging. Or at least that Richard doesn't age. But, heck, with this show? It could be anything! ;D Heee! You just gotta go with the flow, dude. Don't expect it to make sense, just enjoy the scenery on the ride. I'm still waiting for the return of the giant four toed statue foot! OOooooh, that's how we can tell if the "hostiles" are really native to the island - have them take off their shoes and count their toes!
