Vinnie VanLowe's ex wife.. Oh, no wonder about the secretary.. it's his MOM! That's just... whoa. Oh thank god on the "unable" So the mike's in the pen, I'm thinking. Who would put an alarm on a K-car?? SNORTLE!!!!!!! Oh, that was SO cool!!!! I figured it was a rather lame effort. So I wonder where she put the real mike.. Heh.. the spirit pin. Split it, how? And yes, it's better this way. I'm not sorry. Nice of him to surrender so gracefully. Oh, it was his DAD who did.. jaysus. Oh crap.. Clarence is there with the boyfriend. Oh crap. Amelia is not there anymore. Or she's all kinds of dead... I was afraid that was gona bite you on the ass.. *sigh* point to Clarence..... So what does daddy have in the safe? Ah hell. I have NO idea who the hell did what. Duncan.... and here's the Duncan killer scene... and curtain. I called the Spirit pin the moment I saw it!

Interesting as always. Well Duncan's soccer uniform may have been in the dryer but I just can't see them naming him as the killer. Too easy an explanaion. I liked the sleezy detective but . . . . . . . I didn't have a lot invested in Koontz's daughter so I found myself not caring very much when she split. And Matthew - I too thought they telegraphed the boyfriend weak link too much. So tonight was basically the murder game (a drama exercise). Everyone got their chance to play the part of the murderer. I liked the Keith/VM interaction and his snarky comments to Weidman. I kept expecting Weidman to hit him when he was in the apt. I still have no idea who the actual murderer is. They have portrayed Celeste as the most despicable character so far but again, they could still be leading us around by our nose. I don't know - I think I need to let this all perculate overnight. I think its Mr. Kane. I think he's a thoroughly nasty sort. Lily was acting out a lot - I think she had a lot of anger about something. And I haven't forgotten Veronica being raped by someone...was that party at the Kane house or somewhere else?

My thoughts exactly - I want both soft and conflicted Logan. And still - really wasn't enough of him tonight. And I agree about Keith/VM talking. And I was also sitting there thinking - um - going to tell Dad about Mom VM? I don't think its a Kane either. But if not - who does that leave? I mean really who is left. They can't have someone come out of left field to be the killer. Lianne? I want happy at peace Logan. He's suffered enough in his short life. It has to be a Kane. Kane called his security guy to come and fake the time of her death - that bag of ice was to make it seem she had been killed earlier than she was...who would he protect like that other than himself or a family member? I have this feeling that if I wrote all the facts we 'know' down and put them in order, I could figure this out. But I don't remember all the facts we 'know'...

So, I went to the UPN website and watched the intro of next week's episode. Pretty much just a trailer. No new murder info--just the set-up for the mystery of the week. Still loving Logan and the interactions between Logan and Veronica. A bit of a stretch to think that Veronica would leave the room with her computer open on all the files. Nice little bonding over the ripped up check/I did it as a friend moment. Then later in the school lab---but I'm not very happy over the implication that epileptics can be randomly violent. Is that true? I'm of the opinion that Mommy-dearest had perhaps just suggested to Duncan that he can't date Veronica because it's possible Jake fathered her and Duncan is completely aware (not in an epileptic fit) of the fact that he is attacking his father. I'd say even if Duncan didn't do it (and I'm not on that bandwagon) it's seems like at least Jake thinks Duncan did it and the cover-up is all about protecting Duncan. He could easily have gotten blood on his uniform when he discovered the body and rushed to hold his sister. So either Celeste is in on the coverup to protect Duncan as well or she did it and it suits her purposes to let both Duncan and Jake believe Duncan did it. Hmm... At this point I might be disappointed to bring in some unknown killer out of the blue, but since I bet on Celeste ages ago I might also be disappointed by the obviousness of that solution. But I don't want it to be Logan in a jealous fit. (Cause I like the actor so much). Possibly Weevil, cause he's been introduced but we haven't bonded as much with him---but I hope it's not him either. Argh. And I really liked the attitude of the Hamilton Cho. Something about the way he took his knocks resonated with me at the moment! I am not really buying that Duncan is epileptic anymore.

Before reading what anyone else has said....this was a really good episode in my opinion - lots of things were addressed, if not totally solved - Keith and Veronica started to talk truth to each other (mom however still being ignored), Logan and Veronica continue to bond, I loved the cheesy PI subplot, and there was shirtless Weevil (not that that matters cause he's just a child of course). So it looks like Duncan did it? I don't believe it for a second! Logan isn't stupid. He's known Duncan forever and never knew about his illness? Makes me think the illness is just medication to keep him quiet. I think the attack on his father was just anger for something horrible Kane did. And of course I have my ideas about what that was. To be perfectly practical, I think it would be highly improbable that it's Duncan, if for no other reason that a new show like VM could conceivably be tanked by a sustained protest regarding protraying someone with epilepsy as a murderer. As for the date rape plot, I know whether or not they'll deal with it this season, but not sure if that constitutes a spoiler.

And I haven't forgotten Veronica being raped by someone...was that party at the Kane house or somewhere else? Really? I mean, yes, a philanderer he is, but we haven't seen evil behavior on the level of Aaron Echolls. Hey, maybe it was Aaron Echolls! (Just speculation, not a spoiler.) I'll have to think of a plausible reason why, though...but she was dating his son...

Well, the bags of ice were players in Veronica's mental theater of what might have happened, so we don't know if they were actually there or not....

Well, the bags of ice were players in Veronica's mental theater of what might have happened, so we don't know if they were actually there or not.... I agree. I do think that the Kanes are involved in the coverup and that's why Weidmann is involved. I think they think that Duncan did it. I don't think Duncan did it but I do think he found her and got blood on his clothes. Hence the coverup. But there could be a coverup within the coverup if Jake or Celeste are guilty. Covering up for Duncan but ultimately covering up for themselves.

I called the Spirit pin the moment I saw it! Me too, me too. The whole cheesy detective subplot was just a hoot - the booty slapping, the fake pen, the spirit pen but still enjoyable. I liked Magnum lite.

But truly - any of the parentals being the murderer is going to stir the angst plot immensely.

Whee! Stanardized testing!! <snip> Heh,.. Anybody got a translation on that? Was it Italian? Snortle!!! "Put your pants back on and get a job!!" Heee!! Hey, so he's stalking her, but he's not gonna be the ACTIVE harrasser. He's just sad and pathetic, instead. Yes, that was definitely Italian. The actors didn't have the best pronunciation, the mom was especially awful - not just her pronunciation - her inflection and emphasis really seemed to suggest she had no idea what she was saying. I couldn't make it all out first run through . . . but my memory is: When the mom said something to her daughter about Veronica not interferring with her studies, the daughter jokingly replied something to this effect (in Italian): "Well, if she gets in the way, I'll just lock her in the wine cellar." The mom says something in response - I remember thinking she was also joking, saying no, Veronica might get into wine . . . she was expressing concern for the wine anyhow . . . and then (maybe) something about a better place to lock her into? Possibly a reference to suffocation . . . I will listen more carefully on the rewatch. But that was some wince-worthy Italian from mom.

I liked him. His Mom was his secretary and he had a fake Tom Selleck mustached and okay - I loved the smacking his butt song. Hee, Hee. Course I just came from drama class where I acted out all kinds of weird characters and I appreciate the dork. I loved the butt-smacking rendition of "Private Eyes" as well. Fun!

OK - well interesting speculations all . . . I have a mostly different take, I guess - I'll provide my input on it all in my review - I hope to rewatch and pound that out this evening.
Will try to get a definite translation on the Italian, if my ears can take it. Here's what I know for sure: They were being snooty!
