Who's at the door? Is V's momma gonna get divine justice for being a spoot-head? Will backup get more lines this season? Tune in to find out, then comment here about it!

Eeeeep! And . . . eeep!
So . . . Logan at the door, but framed (I hope) for a stabbing?
He should never have knocked Weevil out.
And Wallace and Meg failing their drug tests??! #wtf#
Conspiracy, indeed!

Meg - ouch! So she's decided Veronica is the cause of her and Duncan's break up and not, oh I don't know, Duncan? "Butters"! Heee! I like this new twist for this season. More tension between the classes - should make for a lot of fireworks and Veronica caught in the middle. Logan gets off, but without any kind of actual statement that he didn't do it. So he gets to have everyone look at him and say "like father like son".

The look on Veronica's dad's face when she waves the drug test stick at him! #chuckle# Pinch your own nipples! #rofl1# Hmmmmm. So the changes in Neptune are deeper and more scary than I thought.

OK, what the hell part of the story did we miss? How does V make a change from Logan to Duncan?! ?! ?!
Was it the setting fire to the public swimming pool thing? But that was at the start of the summer?
Ahhhhh! This is what we're gonna use flashbacks for this season!!! To fill in the "what happened over the summer" stuff. Between Logan and V, Duncan and V, the rest of the town and the escalating tensions, etc.
Dang!
But what's the mystery? Is it the the gang guy's death? Proving that Logan didn't do it?
That doesn't seem right. Must be something else.
Also - squeeeeeee! Cordy is a trophy wife! ;D ;D ;D

"Can Dick and Beaver come out to play?" Logan actually made the joke! I love it!!!! And he's doing Charisma. Well, dude! Score. ;D
Lilly!! Yay! She's trying to tell you something, Veronica!
Awwww. Weevil and V make peace, sort of. You should listen to her, Weevil - are you still in charge?
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is that the mystery?! Holy crap! A busload of kids? MEG!!
Woah.

Lola, Holding a conversation with yourself? Bad news: Logan is not with Veronica. Logan is not charged but still under suspicion of being a murderer. Logan is "doing" (as Lola so delicately phrased it) Mrs. Casablancas. Rob Thomas is a fiendish....fiend who plays with our minds and emotions. Good news: Logan still loves Veronica. We don't think Logan did the murder. Logan likes older women (Pixiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii....) Or is that thing just too entirely Oedipal for words. Rob Thomas is a fiendish fiend who likes playing with our emotions and minds. ============================= Good news: Lilly is still around. Bad news: Meg is dead. Good news: Legit explanation for why Duncan's parents are MIA (other than "my dad is now married to the President.) Bad news: Weevil has put on a few pounds. Good news: Weevil and Veronica still have their odd friendship going. Great news: the V/Wallace friendship and the V/Dad snark are some the the best written and acted television made today. Not-so-good-news: the Mystery of the Week was weak (IMO). But then they were attempting to set up the rest of the season. Question: What is the season arc? The wrecked bus or Felix (?) death. Both? Are they related? ***Was the bus accident set up to kill Veronica? But she was invited to go in the limo. Worst scene/character/plot point: Steve Guttenburg and his "daughter." ================== I don't suppose that would qualify as my "review". Hmm. Well, off to watch my tape of LOST; sleep; rewatch VM and try to write something up while packing and completing trip prep.

Am loving VM so far. This wireless is still so slow I'm not going to try posting much. Too frustrating! Showing 11Mbps, acting like . . . 50Kbps, perhaps. Sigh, sigh, sigh!
Interesting start to VM, anyhow. I wanna see Weevil.
Will have to watch my tape of LOST. Also, they do have the WB here so I can see Smallville tomorrow! Yay!

Very unhappy a lot of the time. And oddly . . . clingy with Duncan. Could just mean she really does love him or could mean she's feeling . . . insecure?

Lola, Holding a conversation with yourself? ;D The whole stream of consciousnees thing looks a little goony on it's own, doesn't it? ;D ;D **nods** ;D ;D ;D Absotively. The MOW seemed very . . . easily resolved. Even resolved earlier in the ep than usual. So I'm assuming they wanted to: 1) highlight the big bus mystery thing (if it turns out to be the season long mystery, and I'll bet it does, or maybe the bus and Felix's death both - two running mysteries?) and 2) use it primarily to highlight the tensions between the have and have nots. Good luck with all that.

I hate slow loading pages! Very very excellent VM opening ep. Good news on Smallville - I'll be DVRing it, since I imagine I'll be busy tomorrow night.

I know this is going to sound weird, but I'm actually glad she's with Duncan right now. And here's why.
Duncan is her, if you pardon the Buffy comparison, Angel. They were broken up against their will and their desire, had their minds messed with, and their whole relationship called into ewwy question. Are they meant to be? No, I don't think so. Generally, you don't meet the person you're meant to be with in high school, 'cause you're still all young and unformed. But, if this doesn't get resolved, a real, every day, non-drama-rama relationship, you end up being Lianne and Jake (an apt comparison in this case), pathetically hanging on to some "dream" high school connection. Better they do this now and get it out of the way then end up like Jake and Lianne.
Of course, having rewatched the pertinent season 1 eps and this premiere, I'm actually thinking that Veronica is going to end up with Weevil.

Of course, having rewatched the pertinent season 1 eps and this premiere, I'm actually thinking that Veronica is going to end up with Weevil. I would agree here but I don't think that's the way they are going. I think we notice it because in this episode they are definitely playing DOWN the chemistry being JD and KB. Plus, IMO, KB and TD have very little to no chemistry. Therefore, the chemisty between KB and FC stands out clearly on the screen. When I *listen* to their exchanges, I get no 'shippy vibes from them but, as soon as I see the two actors interact, that's where I get the Veronica/Weevil undertone. The fact that Weevil became so non-exsistant in the story last year makes me feel like they are not going down that road because it would have made a lot of sense for the Lilly investigation to have led her to Weevil moreso than Logan.

i've a couple of questions -
first, does anyone know what the dialogue was when logan was first walking out of the courtroom? my station's feed froze for several seconds.
second, was there a preview at the end?
thanks!
