Sue,
I enjoyed your review...you made some good points and brought up some interesting questions.
I think that as we watch the season unfold, it might be worth flashing back to your season opener review and ticking things off - point by point.
Thanks,
Anna

Well, late to the party, but better late than never, right?
Great review, Sue.
*sigh* So not sure I can handle another "love triangle." Still not over the last one. No wonder Joss loves this show.

OK, so the first time I watched this, I had no clue what I was looking at. Not sure if flashbacks were the best structure to tell this story. Also, Veronica and Duncan are so syrupy sweet here it's nauseating. So Duncan's living situation is explained. -Got any enemies? -Well, there's the Klan. Hee. Pinch your nipples. OK. Tom Welling to play Logan? Arms of Logan! -Can Dick and Beaver come out and play? -Let's see if we can find them. Snerk and Ew. West Coast Wannabee/East Coast Urban. Its like Willy Wonka if he owned a baseball team. Johnny Depp Willy Wonka, not Gene Wilder, I presume. Duncan most certainly never did Little League. Veronica's birthday is mid-summer. "Having fun": Veronica does the hand holding truth telling with the athlete guy just to see if he would do it, accuses Logan of having fun with the 09er/PCHer war, and tells Wallace that setting up the Boatloads of Fun Corp will, if nothing else, be fun. So, the summer I was sexion leader in Band, there was this rally (ie gig) for which we had to meet at late afternoon/early evening, around 4:30. It was said to be good, good food, appreciative cool audience and such. Twas a bitch managing to get out of work early, and I had no car at the time, so I was at the mercy of public transportation. Well, I made it, but just barely. Then it turned out to be the worst rally that ever was. So that's kind of what would have happened if Veronica had actually caught the bus. Except I was never in danger of dying.
