A very much improved outcome for "Entropy": Grace Note, by Shadowlass, Anya talks, Buffy listens (although the phrase "like baby ducks before their fangs grow in" probably distracted her as much as it has me), and then goes to see Spike. PG. www.angelfire.com/cantina/shadowlass/gracenote.htmlJulia, doing useful things of all sorts, tonight

So, a werewolf and a carpenter meet up in Madagascar... www.livejournal.com/users/nwhepcat/366700.html?view=2872940NWHepcat, post Chosen, PG, possibly P athough you've got your various scary supernatural things. Nice piece of writing, very good Oz voice from a writer who doesn't use that character. Julia, must do things; daughter home today, damn

I am remiss. Barb Cummings' Parliament of Monsters is up to Chapter 9 and all of it is fine, fine, fine. I somehow haven't noticed the updates since about Chapter 4! It can be found in her Memories on LJ, and also at the Crypt and the Bloody Awful Sandlot; but best to read it at her own site, where you can snoop other good stuff of hers you might have missed. Here's the URL for POM: sleepingjaguars.com/buffy/bufindex800x600.htmThis is her NEW site, with her new URL.

treehaus.addr.com/homeimprovement.htmlWe need a bells-and-whistles glamour, so I'm forced to use Roses and Numfars instead... Helga Von Nutwhimple takes the unquestionable fact that Spike and Tara are the most intelligent (except Giles) and, by having Spike give Tara shelter after she leaves Willow, throws them together as allies who, in the end, manage to solve all the things that are wrong from Tabula Rasa on. LOVELY fic, and do not mistake her "ficlet" title, as this is closer to a novella in length. Great characterizations, funny dialogue (of course), and effectual Wesley, which is always a good thing. Optimism with minimal schmoop. Everybody dance! Julia, this has been a strong week for new fics, and this one is the best in a good long while

Hadn't checked the Year of Oz community in longer than I'd realized; this is from Rabid X for the "Oz Alone Ficathon", Oz on a stormy night, just very nice indeed: www.livejournal.com/users/rabid_x/38720.htmlJulia, better stuff out there than there's been in a while

Destiny and Dust by denny_dc (complete) Summary: A vampire's soul is the path to redemption or perhaps the bringer of apocalypses…something new and very old force Angel and Spike into a battle to save the world (again) and the women they both love. Canon through BtVS Chosen and AtS Season Five, Damage. And then most definitely, AU. www.mymetaphor.com/DestinyandDust/destinyhome.html

She has 10 fics at thecrypt--all still WIP. Has she just quit posting there? Is there some place else I can go to find them completed? Or are they just going to stay WIP?

Do you know -- is she posting her updates at her LJ? She has 10 fics at thecrypt--all still WIP. Has she just quit posting there? Is there some place else I can go to find them completed? Or are they just going to stay WIP? For me, an inadmissable question to ask an author. But she DOES like beginnings and middles more than endings, obviously. She's taken flak on not proceeding with As the Romans Do, replied furiously, and no more has been done on it to date. I don't know if she'll finish her WIPs--she's able; I just don't know if she's willing. Only time will tell on this one, I think. And yes, she's posting new fic and other things on her LJ. Here's the URL of her Memories section, where new fic and WIPs are archived: www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=theohara

I knew better than to send her "feedback" of that nature: "Hey, I love your fic but are you going to finish any of it?" But you've exactly answered my question and it leads me to a followup. Since I don't do the LJ thing what's the best way to find these kinds of archived memories. Sometimes when I follow a link you or Julia or cal posts I find just the current entry. Some authors will provide a nice "Previous parts found here" link, others not. Some have websites with their fic--but many don't update much. Do most have "memories" pages? If so, say I'm on someone's LJ, how to do find their memories page? And, if they don't archive in memories there really isn't any way to find stuff other than scrolling thru page entries is there? Or are they just going to stay WIP? She's in the middle of a very bad family crisis; she's writing one-shots when she has time, but isn't given a lot of time right now. Julia, she's been posting some very funny, very black, stuff about real life for several months
